    YTEX Square X is a favourite of mine. It's the Quadro Twist...without the twist :-) Back in the day, Luxilon Ace was my all-time favourite. Wish they still made that. Crisp, powerful and thin.

    Thank you for this review of poly strings. I have been looking for someone to give reviews and ranking on "crisp" poly strings.

    Recently strung Yonex Ezone 100 2022 with Head Lynx Tour 16g. Great combination. Currently using champagne color.

    Yeah it looks like PTF isnt getting the love as it should, heard it’s super underrated too and always wanted to try. Would be cool to see more string reviews! Not a really a fan of lynx tour tho, had it at 51lb with velocity cross and still feeling pretty stiff, maybe have to lower the tension even more but I think tour bite’s more “moveable” than lynx tour. Keep up the good work!

    The only risk about thinning out Lynx Tour, is that it may become susceptible to losing tension faster, which I know you said was a positive for the 125mm version that the tension drops at a steady pace. That may not be the case with a 120mm version. Not speaking on experience with Lynx Tour specifically, but other strings definitely I see a dip in longevity tension-wise at the thinner gauges.

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I agree. Thinner gauges lose tension faster. But I usually cut out strings before they lose too much tension anyway so honestly, tension maintenance is not one of the biggest factors when choosing a string for me.

      @@opencourt808 The thing about Lynx Tour 1.25 is that it's more of a 1.30.

    Lynx Tour (grey) is the best shapped poly about feeling, durability and tension maintenance. But I prefer Hyper G more spin, control and lower launch angle

      @@opencourt808 Thanks! Would like to, but it’s hard to find it here in Malaysia. Haha. There is only one shop sell it, others are sell common Solinco String like HyperG, Confidential, Tourbite. Outlast and Revolution is damn hard to find. If have, its just 1.25mm available. Haha.

    Lynx tour 18 gauge or 1.20 is already out. It is difficult to find and only comes in the champagne color. They should release it in bigger portions soon. Supposedly in August they are coming with lynx tour in black.

      I feel the same way with Lynx Edge. I feel like Edge gives better spin and has a great feeling in my Prestige. I really wish it came in other colours, the blue is a bit much, reminds me of Hyper G, just stands out too much.

    Excellent selection of strings, I have tried almost all of them and I agree with you. I'm experimenting with hybrids, do you think it could be a good option to put Ytex Quatro Twist in the MAINS and Yonex Poly Tour Fire in the CROSSES? Great video as always, keep making this type of content. Cheers

    Thanks for your videos. Could you tell me what tension will you use for the Head Lynx Tour string on the Head Extreme Tour racquet? Do you recommend 1.25mm or 1.20mm? Thank you so much for your advice.

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před rokem +1

      I think 125mm is good for the extreme tour. 120mm might have too high of a launch angle in teh extreme

    Have you tried confidential? I'm searching for a low powered spin friendly string, how would you compare it with revolution and tour bite regarding power and spin?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před 2 lety

      Yes I have tried Confidential and I don't like it as much as Tour Bite because it is not as responsive. Confidential is a little deader and very predictable on big swings so many aggressive baseliners like it however since I'm a serve-and-volleyer, I don't like it as much. Revolution feels like it is a little crisper and slightly more powerful than Confidential. All 3 provide excellent spin so I don't feel there is too much difference there.

  • @ichinomiyaconbimai5104

    As much as I love control and spin my main concern is comfort how do Solinco Ive played with 4g before?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately, most Solinco strings are not known for their comfort. You can try Hyper G soft. I heard that one is pretty comfortable.

    your opinion in the alupower rough?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před rokem +1

      I like it but only as a cross for a hybrid. It's a little too soft and loses tension very quickly in a full bed. I will address this string a little more when I answer your question on a future Q & A video I'm planning.

    What in your opinion are some good strings for Ezone 100?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  Před 2 lety +2

      The Ezone 100 is a powerful racket so I would recommend something more control-oriented. for example, Babolat RPM Blast, Luxilon ALU Power, Solinco Tour Bite, and Yonex Poly Tour Rev. I would recommend 125mm or thicker for more control
