- So it's about time I talked about my favorite Solinco string, the Tour Bite. Solinco is one of the most popular string brands for good reason. Their flagship polyester string provides me with just about everything I want in a poly.

Tour Bite Soft 17 @ 52lbs is amazing in my EZone 98. I love hitting with it. My serves with this string are heavy and accurate. I plan to add this to my Blade 98 V8 16x19.
tourbite n tourbite soft is one of my best poly! really agree with you
I tried it on my head ipresige 93 square inch (from 2002) in the mains at 40 pounds and Alu power at 36 pounds in crosses and my arm feels great and I can swing as hard as possible. This is the best hybrid set up I’ve found and I have lots of control. I hit real hard and flat and I’d love to know if anyone has arm issues if used at low tension. Thanks for your excellent review
I play with tour bite 18g and enjoy everything string has to offer. however, curious if there are similar strings in the market to try. i want to add some colors to life without compromising anything tour bite has to offer, lol
Can you do a comparison of the: MSV Focus Hex vs Solinco Tour Bite vs Tourna Silver Seven Tour.
I’ve tried the tour bite soft and like it - would be interested to hear what you think if you try it. I’ve had some arm issues and am older and new to poly, so worried the regular tour bite would be too stiff for me
Why is TB 17 stiffer than 16L as per tenniswarehouse DB?
Interesting. I felt this string was the least powerful string I've used and I even lowered the tension. Flat serves/putaways are very hard. The only thing it was good for was hitting with a lot of spin. If I was a defensive baseliner or a counterpuncher this would be a great string, but I find it way too hard to put away balls. I prefer confidential as a lower powered string. To be honest Hyper G is probably more to my liking. I can say w/ my lowered tension I didn't find any stiffness but I think if people use it are trying to swing faster b/c of the lower power, you could cause strain/stress on muscles/tendons.
Thoughts on babolat pro hurricane tour aka rpm hurricane??
I don't really like rpm hurricane. It's stiff, low-powered, and not very crisp. It's similar in that sense to rpm blast
I'm getting great satisfaction in lightly strung strings (44 lbs.) How would this string work with slacker tension? Too stiff? Not enough snap back? Something suggests this string isn't ideal for low tension, am I getting warm?
Yeah it's not a very slick string so if you string lower than 45, it probably won't snap back, affecting the spin potential.
@@opencourt808 OK thanks say that purple tree on one of your courts is so colourful. Do you know what species it might be? Reminds me very much of a Jackaranda tree...
I agree its firm and low powered. In general, I am not a fan of square strings. Post contact, the pop feels weird. It's a bit muted, a bit dead.
It's not a bad string, just not for me. I can play with it just fine. I'd say its a 7/10
That's weird you say its like head lynx. I don't think so at all. That string is more lively and has more pocketing and pop. head lynx 8.5/10?? It's in my 2nd racket. I need to use it more to become more opinionated.
What tension you use for this string?
I string at 48lbs in mains and 46lbs in the crosses in the 18x20 speed pro
@@opencourt808 I also have a Speed Pro (2022) and recently put tour bite @ 54lbs. Im finding it extremely low powered with this racquet. Maybe I should go for 50lbs (I was using hyper G before)
wrong, it's 5 sided !
