  • Solinco has become one of the most popular brands on the string market and their best-seller is the square-shaped spin machine, Solinco Tour Bite. Here is my Solinco Tour Bite string review that deals with both Tour Bite and Tour Bite Soft strings.

    Hey Tennisnerd! It appears several pros string crosses 2-4 lbs lower than mains (full poly setups), while others string at same tension. What are your thoughts and/or experience on how the lower strung crosses affects playability? It sounds like you string at same tension.

    Hey man I was wondering what you thought about having normal tour bite in the the new Tecnifibre TF40 305 and if that was a good idea. Also what tension would you recommend for the string in 17g? I usually use 53 pounds but I’ve heard it’s stiffer so would going down to 50 be good or do I need to go down more?
    Thanks

    Hey, I'm currently using a hybrid of Wilson nxt (mains) and Babolat rpm team (crosses) in my pure drive. Would this be a good string (solinco tour bite soft) for the Babolat pure drive? Also, what strings (including hybrids) would you recommend for someone looking for comfort, power, and spin? Lastly, what set up would you personally use with the pure drive? Thanks in advance!

I've been playing with the good old solid youtek ig radical mp but since i only have one stick and its been quite difficult to find them for sale i started looking into alternatives. one model that has caught my attention is the prince textreme 100p 18x20, would you happen to have any info on them (especially in comparison to the radical)? thanks!!

    Quick question. I'm using a Graphene 360 Speed Pro. I have Hyper G in the mains and Head Velocity MLT (multi) in the crosses. I like the softness of this hybrid. I'm not a string breaker, but as you can imagine the multi doesn't last very long. I want to go w a full bed of poly but would like to still have some softness. I also would like to have more slide/snap back of the mains. What would you think about Hyper G in the mains and Tour Bite Soft in the crosses? By the way, THANK YOU for all of the content you put on here! It's been a huge resource of info for me!!!

    • @nightshiift6664

      Eric Shine I have the same racquet, I use hyper g 1.20 in the mains and head lynx 1.25 in the crosses. Both poly but head lynx is softer it does feel good in lower tension. I also found if I restring it to 18x19 instead 18x20 it felt like it had a bigger sweet spot. I ignored the bottom cross string FYI.

    • @ericshine1
      @ericshine1 Před 4 lety

      @@nightshiift6664 Thanks! I wouldn't have thought of using Lynx in the crosses. And that's cool about leaving off the bottom cross and going 18x19. I may try that.

    Have you hybrid string the Tour Bite in the more control racquets? When you hybrid string or if you do, what is your setup?

    • @LarzB
      @LarzB Před 5 lety +1

      I have a full bed of tour bite in a speed 360 pro (18x20) at 21kg and a hybrid tour bite with tour bite soft on the crosses on another speed 360 pro at 23kg. Those two are very similar. The hybrid at 23kg softens up because of the bite soft, while a full bed of tour bite at 21kg is softer because of that reason. Touch, firmness, power, control and spin very similar. Or at least the difference is so small that my own variation in consistency hides it.

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  Před 5 lety +1

      I try not to hybrid shaped strings because I think they eat up the softer strings. I'm pretty much a full poly guy these days. One my favorite hybrids though is natural gut mains at 26 kg and 4G crosses at 25.
