Ever get a video of the gauge set up? How do you like the one you have
Excellent call upgrading the stuffy stock turbo horn!!! Thanks for the LB7 Content 🤘😃
Of course man! Thanks for the comment!
Made a huge difference on my lly.
Have you noticed cooler engine temperature or reduced EGTs?
How is the ebay special intake i got that and the turbo horn because i figured for the tube and turbo inlet it was worth the money. will probably change the filter
Not too bad, you'll need a new filter tho it ships with a cheap small one
Hey man what gauges do you have? can you make a video where you have your boost gauge hooked up? i have water meth on my intake heater so i cant put it there, thanks!
Hey! I have the "Max Tow" analog and digital gauge, fuel pressure, egt and boost. I'll try to make a video asap to show how I got it set up!
@@InfamousDuramax awesome make a video how you got them all set up so I can order mine!
What gauges are those
How'd you get the old gasket material off? Mine had a regular gasket but it tore when i took it off and some of it is stuck on the turbo.
I got as much off with a new razor blade as possible, then lightly sanded most of the rest off, what didnt come off I scuffed up a little bit, ended up using grey RTV instead of the gasket bandit works perfect
@@InfamousDuramax thanks for the reply man! Yeah I got a lot of it off but honestly I'm just thinking about sealing it with RTV too since I cant get every last bit of gasket material off. How long did you let it cure before you fired er up? Just don't want RTV flying into my turbski 😂
@@MuteMan5459 Of course man thanks for the view! To be honest the first time i did it on a different truck i let it sit for a day... however since then i realized you don't need that much RTV at all, so just use a little all the way around and i waited at least an hour! but i wouldn't go any sooner than that
What kind of bolts did you get. Any 10mm head bolt can’t get any socket on it
Been a while since I made this but socket with a bunch of extentions and swivels. Gotta go under the wiring runner for bottom left one. 1/4 drive works best
Did use the same bolts or it came with the Allen head bolts
Came with Allen head bolts, oe wouldn't fit
It might be too late to say his but watch out for that waste gate mod because you might over boost or over spin your lb7 turbo and really mess things up
Hey man, I just gotta ask how on earth you squeezed the aftermarket pipe on with the wiring harness in the way I've been struggling for hours and just cannot get it to fit all all
A lot of man handling lol
Iv had the same problem you're having on a different LB7, we ended up taking a hammer to it and denting the side in just enough so that it fits, and we cant feel no difference from mine and his
@@InfamousDuramax that's what I was thinkin about doing honestly I put the stock one back on for now till I had more time to mess with it, thanks for the tip man!
@@GabeStJean-lg2vs glad I was able to help!
Did you ever get the wiring harness out of the way on that lb7? Mine is seemingly impossible... I may end up having to mill or bore out the stock one ...
I like CZcams videos!
But could you go someplace that’s not so congested when you’re distracted driving!
That is most definitely a waste gate line not a blow off 🤦♂️
yeah i kind realized that too late lol..
And pretty sure your boost valve ain't doing nothing cause you have other side blocked off
Overspeed
Your boost is low for extreme tune and wastegate closed
