Thank you, I love this tip! I can't tolerate perfumes either. How many drops of lemon essential oil do you add per load?

Thankyou so much. I have been using other essential oils including peppermint and they help too. I imagine (don't know why I never thought of using the lemon e oil) the lemon would work even better. By the way, we had a power outage a couple of years back and I managed to stain my plastic table with soot pretty bad. Nothing would remove it, not even the magic eraser. One day I tried a few drops of lemon essential oil and I now have the strains out almost completely.

GOODWILL DOES NOT WASH THEIR CLOTHING LADY ( I KNOW I DID SOME WORK FOR THEM AND THEY DON'T WASH ANYTHING EVEN OWNING A COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY BUSINESS THAT ONLY DOES WORK FOR HOTELS ETC !!!!) , THAT IS SMELL IS LIKE A FABREEZE TYPE PRODUCT THEY RELEASE IN THE STORES AUTOMATICALLY FROM ELECTRONIC DISPENSERS AND IT LEAVES EVERYTHING IMPREGNATED WITH THAT IS AWFUL !!! AND ITS HARD TO GET IT OFF

You are so right. I live in an area in Atlanta where we have a ton of Goodwills that carry high end stuff. Goodwill nearly ruins the clothes. They spray the clothes and linens with a Febreze type poison and the store is almost unbearable due to the toxic odor in the air. Employees are getting sick. I wear a mask with 3 charcoal filters just to be able to shop there. I feel for the children that go in there and then the moms buy the children's clothes without getting the chemicals out of the clothes or baby linens. I've tried many methods of perfume removal from GW clothes and have a near perfect routine. I hang all my stuff outside in the sun, rain and wind for at least one week. I then soak and wash in OdorKleenz laundry additive that removes smells. It works well especially if you air out the clothes for a while first. Odor Kleenz is a little expensive and there is a technique to use it (on their website) but well worth it to me.
