Thank you so much. I'll try sudsing ammonia to remove perfume from clothes. I soaked second-hand jeans in vodka for hours before laundering, and the heavy perfume still was strong. The clothing stores in my community don't carry 100% cotton clothes--expensive inventory & not enough people are willing to spend a little more for the better quality; so, I find 100% cotton clothes online second-hand. I have a contact allergy to synthetic fabrics, even blends, and I'm allergic to artificial fragrances. I'm grateful for your vast laundry knowledge & wisdom.

    Happy new year!
Washing rugs in the snow…..As someone who grew up on Michigan, I think this is charming.
    Thanks so much!

Like someone else who commented here, I was hoping to learn how to get detergent smell out of clothing, PLEASE!
I only use unscented detergents as scents make me ill, but a dear friend recently gave me a gorgeous wool sweater that she had accidentally shrunk, & she thought she was being kind to carefully wash it before gifting it to me.
Unfortunately, it now smells strongly of the laundry detergent she uses, & there is no way I can wear it at this point. I've got it hanging on a hanger trying to air out in my very small home, but I've tried that with other items before & the scent clings for months & months. Also unfortunately, because my house is so small, the scent of it is wafting to me even from the next room over, & I have to walk past it several times each day, causing the scent to become further airborne.🤮🤢🤮
In addition, because it is wool, I fear that its ability to release the scent might be even more complicated... hoping I'm wrong. I can't really hang it outside & risk moths, or squirrels gathering wool for nests! Truly stumped here! PLEASE HELP!!!
TY in advance for any assistance you can offer.
    God bless!😇
BTW, I had never encountered your channel before & kind of fell in love with your style & presentation of info while watching this video... I'm looking forward to checking out more of your content!🥳

What is your suggestion for getting rid of that barnyard smell from down feather pillows?
Also, how do you get blush out of a white sweater?

I haven't ever noticed a barnyard smell so I am going to have to ask around. Blush on a sweater will come out with oily soap.
