Weird story...when my Mother passed away, we visited the morgue / funeral home and the embalming fluid they used smelled like pine sol. All seven of us children were so grief stricken with our father while we were finalizing arrangements. When we were told what the intense pine smell was...we all made eye contact and instantly went from crying to laughing uncontrollably. My mother was so sensitive to smells and hated pine. We all knew she would've said some intensely strong words about them using anything "pine" around her. I am always drawn back to that moment of laughter at the funeral home when I smell pine now. In odd humor, we always say we smell dead people when we come accrossed the smell now. I cannot use it myself. I hope y'all understand the twisted humor.

For my Dad, we were all in the funeral director's office and the secretary went to lunch and rerouted ALL phone calls there. The phone rang uncontrollably until i stood up and lifted it off the receiver and put it back. My whole fam was in shock and the director scolded me, but they were the unprofessional ones. Sorry, wish my story was funnier. But 10 years later, the sound of a ringing phone makes me instantly furious.

@@ninawest8 Hi Nina. I have a possible solution for you. It's what I did in principle to get off one of my two pain pills (morphine) after my 3rd car accident. What I'm suggesting for you is to get a spritzer and mix a small amount of the product in it with water so it will give a light smell. Only fill the bottle 1/4 full because you will probably have to adjust it. Put your measurements down in a notebook, which you will also use later. Now, decide where you can spray it on you that will not be offensive to others, but will affect you the most. Avoiding touching the skin, I would suggest the outer part of the shoulder of the shirt or blouse and/or the outside of the bra cup.. Put the clothes on and see if the aroma is at a comfortable level. If not, 1) if it is to strong, add some water and write down how much. 2) if it to weak, add more product and write down the amount. Clean the shoulders and cups, you don't want to add two layers on top of each other, 1) it would be too strong and 2) you wouldn't know if the 2nd formula worked or not. So, get some new clothes and let these dry or avoid the work and toss them into the wash. When you find your level of breathing the scent you like, spray your clothes each day for two to three weeks, then water it down a little z not too much, for example, if you started with a cup or 8oz., I would suggest adding 1/2 oz of water so that the shock of a quicker withdrawal is eased. This is what I did in getting off of 1 of my 2 pain meds. My Doc agreed, my P.A. was ecstatic, so using a combination of smaller doses together over several months, I finally got off of morphine. What I'm suggesting is based on what I did. There's the possibility that it would work. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you success. BHK

      Hi @Chad Hazard,
I lost my mom in May of 2020. I feel for you. It is difficult not having our moms here with us physically any more. They are with us in our memories all of the time. Sometimes we can even hear their voice or when we see something that reminds us of them it can bring a tear of joy 😂 or a tear of sadness 😢. As time passes and our coping skills improve it does get a little bit easier to handle certain moments that can be especially difficult. I miss my mom an awful lot 😞 but on the bright side of things she is no longer dealing with all the things that caused her pain. She no longer lives in fear of what might happen next. She is finally at peace.

    • @Ashaliyeva

      I totally understand, Chad. 💜
Mother’s Day is always tough for me, too. My mom passed away when I was nine, in 1994, from breast cancer.
I just cannot believe it’s been 28 years without her. And while I love spending time with family, I often just spend Mother’s Day alone (which works because I don’t have kids.)
For me, it works out better that way- by myself, I’m able to breathe easier and process my feelings better. It’s harder when I see other people with their moms; reminds me of her absence too much.
They only person I prefer to spend Mother’s Day with is my older sister (she’s nearly 16 years older than me, and has become more of a mom to me than anyone or anything else.)
And while she has kids (2 daughters, who I adore more than anything else) becoming a mother didn’t fill that hole left over from losing our mom. She gets sad on Mother’s Day, too.
What I’ve learned throughout my life, is that there are some wounds that never heal. And that’s totally okay!! We just need to learn how to *carry* *them.*
It’s crazy to think anyone could ever “get over” or truly heal from such a deep loss. It’s okay to feel pain and sadness on holidays & birthdays without them.
Just remember to give yourself grace- the time and space to feel what you are feeling, acknowledge your reality and your experience.
Set aside a little time to let those emotions come to the surface, allow yourself a good cry. We cry for a reason, and it’s a good thing. It’s healthier to express painful emotions over suppressing them.
It doesn’t always get easier to deal with, but in a lot of ways, it does get better. I can’t predict those ways for you, since we’re all different. The most important thing is to just take care of yourself emotionally- give yourself the grace to grieve, and be kind to yourself! 💜💜💜
Losing your mother is truly difficult, and I sincerely hope that you can learn how to carry that wound with infinite compassion for yourself. You deserve it.💗

I started buying PineSol by the gallon during the early days of Covid. There was no bleach or Lysol to be found so I had to settle for PineSol. Now I love it and use it daily. One note....I discovered too late that the scented versions of PineSol do not disinfect. You have to stick to original PineSol to kill those virus germs. Never thought about using it in the laundry thought. Good idea.

Great advise. Love idea of cleaning toilets and it leaving it smelling nice.
On another note, I have used Lestoil for years to get out really stubborn stains. Only issue with it is that it does not have a pleasant smell. But it’s worth it when nothing else works. I owned a bridal shop for years in the late 80’s and sometimes a customer would refuse our help to get in & out of wedding gowns. Every time I’d end up with shoe scuff marks on the hems and trains, which are near impossible to get out. I started using Lestoil full-strength on a white facecloth and it did the job. Now I always have it on hand for very stubborn stains. You do have to do extra rinse to remove residue small but it’s well worth it to save a garment. You may have to pour a bit on a stain & let it sit for several hours.
    I’ll subscribe! Excellent vid.

I've seen amazing spot-cleaning results, using Pine-Sol undiluted on very old carpet-stains and was always careful to extract/rise away the residue as it does create lots of foam. Have seen amazing results and always wondered why this has never gotten much publicity, while all the damaging spray-foam products like Resolve/Woolite etc. DID, despite their stain-setting, stain-attracting, and stain re-appearing issues!

Kathryn... I have a product recommendation. I don't like to use many different products, and I think many are not needed, but this one has won me! Odoban. It cleans, disinfects, and you can use it everywhere! Floors, laundry, carpets, upholstery, and even to freshen the air. It does not mask, it kills the source of odor. I have three rescue dogs who were abused, and I cannot get them house trained. A little band is the only thing I have used to actually get the pee smell out. It comes in a spray bottle, but it also comes in a gallon at some stores and online. I buy the gallon because it's a better deal at $9.99. it's concentrated, so you can make 32 gallons

Okay girlfriend, When I saw the thumbnail for this clip I jumped on it like a chicken on a bug. Been doing all three of these for so long! And even better: We use a dilute solution to periodically washdown kitchen walls and cabinets to remove kitchen grease build up. We have hardwood floors and my standard way to wash them is fill my mop bucket with hot tap water, a splash of Pine Sol and I prefer the old fashioned rag mop. Oh, gee, then there's when my husband is done vacuuming inside our cars, and he uses a Pine Sol diluted with water to wipe down surfaces that get sticky--like when you picked up take-out and noshed on it while driving....Come on, you know you do it! One tip I can recommend is to read the ingredients content on the bottle. Pine Sol's active ingredient is pine oil. The % has dropped way down. So I look for knock off brands at the dollar stores to find a cheaper version that has a higher pine oil content. Keep up the good work!
