I’ve been professionally cleaning for around 5 years, and you showed me things I didn’t know or think of. Thank you! I will be using a couple of these tips on the houses I clean tomorrow.😊
If your toilet seat doesn't have an "easy clean" feature, I recommend buying one that does. (Any place I lived that didn't have easy clean seats, I immediately replaced them. Including apartments.) They can be less than $15 & often don't require any tools to install. If you've got a little extra money, get a soft closing toilet seat. It's worth it!
That's a fantastic tip! Easy-clean toilet seats really do make maintenance much simpler, and investing in a soft-closing seat adds extra convenience and comfort. Thank you for sharing your experience and this valuable advice-it's definitely worth considering! 😊
Thank you, I have been trying to get people in my house to understand that you need to dust the dirt off before spraying cleaners, let alone just spraing cleaners isnt cleaning it if you donr wipe it up.
Thank you!!! My stepson (I don’t live there but own the house) is a slob. Dusting surfaces before wetting them is one of the best tips ever. Otherwise, the dust and dirt turn to germ-laden mud. The main problem I have cleaning toilets is getting down to the side closest to the wall. I’m 69, not that nimble. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
keep a long handled bath brush or similar specially for that area.. Scrub then elastic band a micro cloth round the brush (rinse brush well before) You can then rinse.
I'm glad you found the tip helpful! I hear you, cleaning can be quite a task, especially with hard-to-reach spots. For the side of the toilet, I suggest using a bath scrunch with a handle or a small broom. If you're in the US, you can get these at Dollar Tree or Walmart. Wrap a microfiber cloth or strong paper towel around the tool and secure it with a rubber band then spray and clean. To dust you can also use the same tools but with dry cloth and you can also use a swiffer duster. This way, you can clean without bending.
I have the same problem of not being able to reach. Don't know if you shop on Temu or not but found the perfect scrubber on there. Very similar to a body scrubber with a long handle.
