Canât compare the Nabers situation to Chase. Chase and Burrow played together in college and had instant chemistry while Herbert has never played with Nabers
Home Run on the Joe Alt pick. Look how Penei Sewell is doing with the Lions at RT he's absolutely dominating. Joe Alt will be just like him in a year or two. Harbaugh knows what he's doing.
and fingers crossed if something were to happen to slayter this year easy replacement thats a starter not a backup lt
@@kevinlinton6745totally agree đ cause we all know slater injury history. ( Knock on wood) it doesnât happen again itâs a great insurance back up.
Amazing now herbert has all the time in the world to throw to....
Had a chance at generational wrs lmao
@@qownsqud3207Doesnât matter when your QBs always ends up getting hurt. Look at Burrows O-Line compare to the Lions O-Line. Bengals literally lost the Super Bowl on the very last play of the game because the O-Line was sooo COOKED getting rushed had no time to throw. If he had protection. They would have won their 1st Super Bowl but nope.
â@qownsqud3207 give Herbert all the time to throw and it's going to be trouble. Big trouble.
Tackles are so rare to find good ones, wide receivers are becoming more common to find and you can find really good starters at any round. Justin Herbert has been getting pressured at the 2nd most rate in the nfl since heâs gotten here. Alt is so obviously the much more rare and needed pick.
100 percent. So many fans were upset at the Alt pick but pro bowl top tier tackles are impossible to find. Let alone one that has the floor/ceiling Joe does. Everyone wanted Nabers or Odunze...but Herbert?....**Cracked ribs, broken finger, broken finger.** Gotta protect him if we want to have the best chance at winning.
We will win more than 8 games
We should if the defense is good, line is healthy and we get a solid running game and competence from receivers.
We might win more than 8 but only cause we play a last place schedule, not sure we are ready to compete just yet. Still light on depth
@@MrRobertp12 you are right about the depth. Wr is a major question mark. I have major doubt whether we have enough there to have a potent offense and defense has talent but questions at all 3 levels. Can the interior dline to their part? Will the young LBs hold up? Can we get competent play at cb?

Super Bowl
I think another consideration in the OT/WR debate for both Cincy and LAC is hospital time for Burrows and Herbert. It can be easily argued that QB is even harder to replaceâŠ
"ThE fEw ChArGeRs fAnS HuRr HuRr HuRr" Like the stadium isn't entirely red/gold when the Rams play.
Rams don't wear red weirdo
â@@emiliohuerta2790That's the point

O-line doesn't score points...

We winning 12 this season easily.

I became fine with the Alt/McConkey combo (especially because we got McConkey), but the options were not only Tackle first/WR second or WR first/Tackle second. Could have done WR first/IOL second like Powers-Johnson.
this combo better than what we got imo
A+ Draft !!
Shit worked out for us chargers fans. Cornerstone Tackle and a good WR? Iâm excited.
Darren sproles đđđđ
When people talk about the Chase over Sewell decision I rarely hear them mention that the Bengals went WR in the 1st and OT in the 2nd where the Lions went inside out and grabbed a WR in the mid rounds. Who had the better draft, the Bengals with Jamar Chase and Jackson Carman or the Lions with Penei Sewell and Amon Ra St. Brown? When there is a rare talent at OT you have to take him.
As a Chargers fan, I was on the Alt train or trade down. I honestly thought we were trading up in the 2nd round to get Johnny Newton as well. I'm good with this draft. Love what we got from the 1st through the 4th. I was hoping for Braelon Allen at the beginning of the 5th though but getting Cam Hart and Brenden Rice day 3 was my highlight
Similar for me. Although, Hortiz said they got a good offer to trade down, but just weren't going to pass on Alt, and I absolutely hate that.
Hortiz wanted an overpay when fair value would have been worth it for this team right now. You could have converted 5 overall into 2 early 2nds, and 3 early 3rds, picking up a combo like Jackson Powers-Johnson, Cooper DeJean, Cooper Beebe, Jonah Eliss, and Roman Wilson instead of just Joe Alt.
I still think the people who are mad about Alt at 5 because it wasn't a WR are idiots. If you stick and pick, Alt was definitely the best pick. We just should have traded back instead.
The Junior Colson pick had Harbaugh singing.
Go Boltz!! Stop saying we dont have fans đ€Źđ€Źđ€Ź
We donât in LA
shh get down before people see you!
@@christianrosas4806 Chargers were 6th in the NFL last year for season ticket sales. There are plenty of Charger fans in LA
People say we donât, but Iâm in Birmingham, life long fan going back to the 80s.
Everywhere I go (Atlanta, Nashville, New Orleans, Carolina for example) there are ALWAYS an abundance of Chargers fans.
Idk how you donât like Rice as a prospect. He is insanely good and bailed Williams out often
I know everyone wanted malik nabers, and wow how cool would it be to see herbert have a guy like nabers to throw to, but idk if you guys watched any charger games the last couple seasons, but if justin herbert takes any more of those hits, and they were a whole lot of 300 pound guys at a full sprint because NO one blocked ANYone, then justin isnât going to have any more fingers left to throw a ball to anyone.
Man, watching McConkey hit his foot in the ground and break away...and mix a strong play action game when the bolts have been bruising the defense all day.... Home run.
Nabers and the available top T at the time will never be better than Alt and Ladd
Itâs not that we didnât like alt but itâs the fact that you got rid of our weapons on offense when you didnât have to get rid of all of them and still could have got Joe alt so itâs like who is Justin gonna throw the ball to? No true 1 receiver based on last year
We are alt right with this pick! Boltlife4life
Go Bolts!!!
Harbaugh style, run the ball, use your mobile QB for bootlegs short passing and play action deep plays and play conservative. Physical, pursuit defense
I hate the Chase/Sewell comparison everyone is making. If announcers mentioned every time Sewell performed well on a play, Chase would get outshined. Unfortunately because offensive line is under appreciated, nobody understands that. You can find a an elite receiver like Jamar Chase in EVERY draft EACH year. Sewell is a once in an every maybe 3 year kind of draft pick.
Wait did I miss something....thought these were draft grades....didn't hear one?!
In the first 20 seconds they mention that PFF gave the Chargers an "A"
"The few Charger fans out there" Charger fans fill out Sofi stadium better than Rams fans. Such an old garbage narrative. Be better PFF
All media hates the Chargers. Itâs such an old joke. PFF is also a joke except for Trevor Sikema đ„
that chase pick was only one season a trick, joe burrow its gona end like andrew luck
Different player profile than Penei Sewell, but same caliber of player.
I wanna be conservative and say we win 8-10 games this year and are a fringe playoff team. We still have some of the stench of the Staley era in the roster but next season I expect us to do big things.
These guys act like they are sooo smart⊠arenât these the dummies that said Justin Herbert would be a bust ? Then Herbert went out the next 4 years and broke nearly every passing record under the Sun
Chase had a successful history with chase which is different than this
Huh?
The Chargers only drafted dogs ready to play and all finish plays.. Dogs.
LA âĄïž
Alt & McConkey are logical picks.
that said, there would've been other logical picks at those two spots.
after them, all of the others are dubious.
no Center ?
no Safety ?
removing the Harbaugh mystique, this draft grades out as a B-
4:45 we lost WR 1, WR 2, TE 1, and RB 1 all in a single offseason and then pick Tackle in the first round. I wouldnât blame ppl for being concerned abt weapons
A future HOF tackle that's going to protect Herbert? What a terrible pick.
WR 1 is old, WR 2 was injured, TE 1 is average, RB 1 was ineffective
@@diggingmystyle I love the pick lmao I just understand why half the fanbase had a meltdown when it happened
@@diggingmystyle Herbert can hand off no need for wide receiver đ€«
@@boltblazer1670for reals man. Mike Williams is good now for a wild card on an old team . Could carry you over the line if he stays healthy IF. But trying to build a team that will compete for seasons on end , with your young quarterback. Need to tear it down before Herbert is 35 and broken
lol shows how much you watch ball we got a base now buddy
Few chargers fans⊠hahahahah youâre so funny. Itâs old
they traded up for McConkey dude

i'll forget you said this by tomorrow
Bruh what is with the continued no fan jokes about us Chargers fans?
It's all they have. Same as the 'Burrow is better than Herbert because he has been to a SB'. Whatever.
You guys will be the same..no wide receivers...in a couple of years. Maybe more than 8
Rams wonât have a qb in a couple years
@@Michaeldotcom33 you don't have receivers now
@@Michaeldotcom33 True..but we do have a Lombardi đ.
Bottom line is the Chargers talent has been wasted due to poor coaching. Couldnât stop the run or the pass with the highest defensive payroll. Couldnât pass with two $20M wide receivers and couldnât run the ball at all. When there are failures EVERYWHERE itâs not the players. A soft and undisciplined team but Staley could talk a good game. Harbaugh is going to change it.
Chargers lost so many close games.I hope you guys get a defense.
Bro that jemarr chase shit in the beginning was like random af. Dude brought that up to self congratulate
I enjoyed this conversation but I donât love the take that the Charger fans need to relax because âthey were always going to get a WR like McKonkeyâ. Nothing is a sure thing. That is a total Hines sight statement
