J.K. Dobbins signs to the Chargers and JK Dobbins signing to the Los Angeles Chargers means more to me than you think. What does this mean for Isaiah Spiller and Elijah Dotson? Will the Chargers draft a RB in the 2024 NFL Draft or in UDFA?

Dotson never got off of the practice squad last yr. I really don't know why either. I think he did great in pre-season last year too. Obviously we don't know what happened during practice during the yr. I just hope we hang on to him.

Whoa.... Herbert never said he can make it so people never suffer soft tissue injuries. He makes it very clear, "Harder to break" not "unbreakable". You said Herbert said he can prevent these from happening - that is false. You turned Herberts words of reduction into elimination.

I can’t be hyped about this signing, Chargers have a bad history with players that are always injured. Dobbins has spent more time being injured than playing. I don’t understand this move, hopefully it works out.

Yes, he seems to be like a low risk high reward depth player, and to be honest he probably belongs on the practice squad. Let’s see what type of game shape he will be. This will also hedge a little bit in case Corum is not available in 4th round- which is very likely.

What more of Spiller we haven't seen? He had enough number of carries already to make an impression with a run or two, but so far none and left nothing to be hopeful about. Never liked him picked instead of Tyler Alleiger who was picked a round later by the Falcons. The way I see it, Spiller won't make the 53-man roster, if he even lasts that far thru preseason.

Michael I like your show and your analysis of players and the Chargers. BUT bro, I REALLY don't know how you can say that signing Dobbins is a good moce!!?? I mean you said it yourself, he's only played 25 games in the last 4( FOUR!) YEARS!! I really think we are going to waste whatever amount of money we are going to spend on him. It's going to be close on whether he'll even be ready by September! Look at Roger's who had the same injury. It'll be just about a whole yr. Before he's going to be able to come back and play. Dobbins injured his last September and isn't that when he also had surgery on it? I hope it works out for him and us but the odds are TOTALLY against him.

The fact that everyone of those injuries is a different injury sucks for the guy that’s extremely unlucky. The term “injury prone” usually is labeled when the player gets a similar injury multiple times. With this guy the previous injury had nothing to do with the next injury.
All the broken bones he has had would be stronger it’s when you have muscle injuries that make it hard to come back “too soon” make you not the same player.
Tad off topic when Jim watched JJ at his pro day with his parents and shouting out this like “now your just showing off” and “someones heading to Chicago” does Jim actually believe JJ is the No.1 QB regardless of where we are picking?
Part of it is that’s what you do as a head college coach. You advocate for you players. Second, I believe Harbaugh believes it. He reminds me of Burrow in that physically nothing is off the charts but he KNOWS how to win. He is smart, is a proven winner and he did exactly what Harbaugh asked of him for the wolverines to win a natty. Never really showcased his total skill set because he didn’t need to.

I hope the Chargers aren’t planning on trading Justin Herbert on draft day. We really haven’t heard much from Justin all off season. We don’t know how he feels about losing Keenan Allen and Mike Dub. It almost feels like we are rebuilding. Dean Spanos is cheap. Always has been. We are on the outside looking in. How do we know Dean didn’t ask Jim to ship Herbert and save all that money from the contract. Especially since Jim can’t stop talking about JJ McCarthy. I really hope I’m wrong.
