One of the worlds best humans. I've read nearly all his books and watched all his series, Life on Earth & the living Planet were just the beginning of a whole world of learning about the world we live in, and no one has ever done such a great job of presenting it to us all. And at 92, he still is committed to waking up all the people to caring about our world when so few of us really do. Thank you and God bless you David, I hope to see you around for many more years to come. I am ashamed you have not been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, you deserve it more than many others.

I love this show and him, I made changes 2 years ago to become vegetarian, I use re-usable bags and use eco-straws and its all about recycle recycle recycle...

Where do you live? Can you start a campaign to ban plastic bags? That would help. Do you pick up the trash you see? I do. It bugs me that much, plus, I like the feeling of leaving a place better than when I found it.

I would do anything this man tells me to do! This fall I am taking environmental chemistry, and maybe environmental biology next semester because I want to make sure my future is healthy for me and my future kids. Me and my family already recycle quite a bit, like choosing paper bags at the grocery store instead of plastic to use as recycling bags at home, but I want to reuse things even more. I live across the street from the woods that lead down into the river, and I see plastic and garbage in the woods, especially in spring. I hate seeing that, and i want to do something about it.
Instead of using paper bags, why not bring your own cloth shopping bag. That is what I do. Never need a bag, any kind, at all!

Your right we need to stop throwing plastic away and pick it up and put it in the bin.
Most Plastic has to be universally replaced with biodegradable substances and there also needs to be plastic collection points and program paying people for collecting plastic as monetary incentive.

In the uk we have recycling bins in every home that we pay for via council tax. Itâs collected twice a month but why isnât it actually being recycled?

No this video needs to be a rallying call for all people to stand up and dismantle the planned obsolescence industry and destroy the plastic manufacturing monopolies that created this problem. Consumerism is engineered demand. This corporations that want their products to break more often and be replaced as a function of profit are the ones who need to be stopped.

The vast majority of people on this planet are selfish and could care less, until they get cancer from all the micro plastic, and wonder what they did (or didnt do) to get it. Well, they deserve it for living the way they do and not making any effort to change it.

Not sure an upbeat message was appropriate by David. I can still buy a flexi tub from my local DIY store and in a month it will be decomposing, falling into ever smaller pieces. No, I'll never buy one, but what do I do with the wrapper of the tea cakes I had this morning? I read yesterday that particles of plastic are being found in the human bloodstream. For too long now manufacturers have shown that they just don't care. There needs to be an immediate ban on all plastics production if we want to look after our planet for the future, and meantime, no nonesense strict laws as regards plastic collection for responsible recycling or disposal, with serious penalties if they aren't followed. In short this crisis needs to be highlighted and those manufacturers who choose to ignore the damage they're doing to the planet brought to book. Arguably, despite all the problems, wars, Covid, rising energy bills, the plastics crisis is the worst because once it's out there in our oceans, the pollution can't be reversed, we'll have scared our planet forever. Still going to buy that flexi tub?

There are many poorer countries in Asia where people get money or free travel ticket for collected plastic bottles put in a colletcing machine around the cities. Citizens need to be controlled! Thats easy and works.

Unfortunately we still use plastic in an inappropriate way, for inadequate purposes! Excepting the medical field, I think that single use plastic shouldn't be part of our everyday life.
For every person who picks up plastic garbage on the beach there's 2 people who throw it.
