When the Pope speaks, yada, yada, yada. He speaks in dogma. Not David! He speaks from the heart about our evolutionary kin and extended family, and their home, not just ours. ALL LIFE--not merely "human life"--is sacred. ALL LIFE is uniquely precious. Life does not exist to "serve mankind" as if we were the center, source, and measure of value! ALL LIFE has inherent value and dignity.
Then why make post about about it for all to see? Total bummer and kinda disrespectful.

Absolute concern, dedication to preservation, and a genuine love for nature. Also, a teacher and an idol to many, a true legend and an extraordinary soul. Salutations Sir David. Thank you for the video Netflix.
If humanity will be remembered, Sir David will be at the top of the list.
My parents are environmental engineers who worked in the rainforests in Latin America. We love your nature films. The best way to reconnect with nature is to have a garden, to grow plants you can see grow and harvest, to be aware of how the weather affects them, the entire ecosystem of animals (birds and other insects that pollinate) in just a small plot of land. Everyone should learn to do this in school, it would change everyone's outlook of the planet. You won't waste anything once you realize how much work a plant has to do to produce one fruit, one beautiful leaf, or flower.
Actually this is a good idea. But I guess they will rather go with the subject: "How we ruined Earth" after we are leaving it.

Teared up a bit while watching, I've been watching Sir David since my childhood, the value and knowledge he possess can't be replaced
I often wish i'd been able to witness first hand people such as Sir Isaac Newton or Alan Turing. To hear and see how they are in that moment, what makes them so great and be able to see it first hand in 'real life'. People of today should feel lucky to be able to hear and speak first hand to Sir David Attenborough. His work will go down as some of the most important in history when he leaves this mortal coil. Speaks more sense than every politician combined.
I think the only issue is that one sector of the corrupt establishment has well known ties with David. I'm not left nor right but something irked me watching him collaborate with far left political parties. I'm worried that they will use Sir David and his cause as a means to control or manipulate people to live a certain way, and not one which puts the environment first.

We can change it. In my own way I do not waste. I try my best not to use or buy new plastic or throw it away. I use glass or wood. I have a composting bin for leftover food. I cycle or take the train. I switch off lights and don't waste water. In my country we make ecobricks from single use plastics to make furniture or houses. I'm not perfect but every one of us absolutely can make a difference.
Yeah, sadly, I sensed that too. Hopefully the ones leading us will change things on a higher level so that will make protecting the environment the norm.
Diana .C thats exactly my point. We're not sheep. We can't hope someone in leadership will make the change. The reason we're in this mess is that although environmentalists and scientists have been alerting us to climate change for the past 30 years or more, it didn't suit governments pockets to make any changes. The UK and various other countries have finally woken up to the fact that green energy is the way to go and are implementing it. Late in the day but better than nothing. We need to keep pressuring them. After all, they are only in power bc of us (in a democracy anyway). It's just very unfortunate that two of the most powerful countries in the world: the US and China, still put money before people and the planet.

What kind of person gives this video a thumbs down? Dear Sir David - you are a treasure that belongs to the whole world. We want to keep you forever. Please never leave us. You truly are one of the best humans of all time. My entire family send our love, admiration and warmest wishes to you and your family. Huge respect, sir.
As an ecology student, I hope that I can dedicate my life to helping our planet and its wildlife survive the next few decades.
Edit: I have a channel if you want to support me
I am sure you will and also inspire many. Good luck. Stay on your path.
Unnat Biswal thank you! I have a channel if you want to support me :)
So you ganna end humanity ? 🤣
Can I ask what made you want to study ecology and why you are interested in it? I’m kind of toying with the idea of applying to study ecology at university
Yordi van Steijn funny
This man is a global treasure. I could listen to him endlessly. Thank you, Sir David, for everything you have done in your long and illustrative life to educate and entertain us.
this was the voice i listened to every morning on animal planet.
Sir David Attenbourgh what a gift he is to our World. If only our world leaders could listen to him more so our Earth can still live beyond our lives
I’m from Papua New Guinea for Sir David to say one of his most favourite memories was being in our country filming our wildlife; the Regina Bird of Paradise is our national animal, on our flag. That’s incredible, what a legend!
Don’t waste electricity is so profound. People don’t get it.
those celebs in this video waste more electricity than us. Fucking hypocrites them all
@@Chalize i do not know if you notice but Sir David is answering the questions outside using sunlight and all the dicks are inside making the questions using electricity. society is full of domnass dicks. always remember that
Wasting electricity is foolish but at the same time domestic electricity is barely a spot on our global emissions. You can keep your lights on all day of the year and you'll reduce your emissions more if you eat couple steaks less that year than if you turned lights off when you aren't using them. Same goes for water. Producing things uses more resources than you can imagine. Buying less is the thing to do.
Grzegorz Widła very well stated true. 👍🏽
Fewer people could spend all the electricity they wanted. At some point birth control must be implemented. If we wait until 50 billion, there is nothing left to save - no rainforests, no coral reef, no big mammals. But even then, it must happen, since 50 billion cannot reproduce at will.
I love and admire this wonderful man! There will never be another man like him! He is a incredible gift to this planet!
If the world had 1/10th the love this man has for the world, it would be a far more beautiful place.
Sir David nodding at his favorite tree is so precious. I'd do the same tbh.
I am crying like a baby watching this 😭
Sir David Attenborough has long been my hero. I'm so grateful that he has taught us so much about the world. And is now teaching the next generation to love and take care of the world we live in because it is changing and we all need to play our part in saving it.
To be able to see such beautiful nature, animals and places on our screens is a gift. Thank you Sir David, you've truly enriched our lives with all you do ❤
He is such an amazing human being. Everytime he has a movie or show, l always have tears. ughh
Judi dench is like a female David. They should do a nature program together. So cute ☺️☺️
Hahahaha that's funny 🤠 I love them both. I enjoyed how down to earth and relaxed Judi was esp in comparison to a lot of the others who sounded fake
Stay safe Sir David during these hard times. The world cannot afford to lose you. Thank you for who you are and what you have done so far. Hoping for many more years to come.
David Attenborough has to be one of the most respected and admired people in the world, and all because he educates on and draws attention to a monumentally important part of our world in a fantastic way and has done so for a lifetime. Absolutely love him to bits!
His brother was brilliant, Richard Attenborough
He warms and also breaks my heart when he talks about our planet. You can hear the sadness in his voice . A truly beautiful human that should be listened too and followed in his passion for our beautiful Earth
I really like listening to sir David. He is knowledgeable and very wise. I also am amazed how sharp his mind is still at his age.
I wish I Can meet David as he is a big part of the word and we all love him
It’s wonderful to hear him speak on these subjects. His voice will forever be the background to many beautiful scenes captured in documentaries, but to hear him speak to us, the people who want to help, this is awesome 🥰
Can't we just declare him "The World's Treasure"?
