When you do the large group of unit battles, you can see what happens if you're your unit stays close together. The dead horses stay together as a cohesive unit, mostly due to the fact of where they were placed for the battle. They could focus their fire in one direction at a time and not have to worry about their left flank being exposed due to the wall being there. So they can easily take out Ulysses group, and then do a slow sweep of other groups as they approach by remaining in a large group they can put a lot more lead on one single target at a time rather than having to focus on several targets at once.
@@ScourgeoftengriI don’t think he’d mean “monster” in a direct way like that. I think he sees Lanius as more beast than man, and I don’t feel like he fears Lanius like that. My guess: Ulysses would simply knockdown his opponent with Old Glory. Try defeating him on Very Hard with a Melee or Unarmed build. He's completely immune to knockdown, but he can kill a high level character in something like two hits and, to make matters worse, appears to have an unusually high knockdown rate. Eventually I was able to beat him, but I think it takes avoiding all of his attacks. As for the loser, it would be General Oliver. I don't remember him being much different to a standard NCR character. I think the Heavy Troopers around him were actually stronger than he is.
