Awesome man thank you so much. Nice surprise considering I have a cascading juniper about that size. The trunk definitely isn't as big but I've been letting the foliage grow to help with that!

That was nice to watch, thank you for sharing with us! I'm enjoying learning about junipers. I got your book and watched a lot of videos. The junipers are so confusing to me. I have 3 kinds and each one is so different: Old Gold, San Jose and Blue Tip. I like them all, Blue tip is the most similar to the one here in the video. San Hose is beautiful but confusing because of the juvenile growth. I wanted to schedule 1:1 with you but I'm in Canada and the only time we are overlapping is like 4 am lol, a bit too early for me

Hey man, whats a tree like this look like in 10 years time? Would love to see one.
How old was this tree when you made this video, “first styling”? I have two sticks in a pot, and it’s about to be fall right now in a month or so. Need to know if I should wire up and get rid of the useless foliage before winter or leave it for the next season?
I was under the impression that the best time to do this type of work on Junipers was in period between fall and winter. We're just going into winter fall here in Israel so I'm gearing up for my first season of juniper work as I just started this year. I think we have similar climates between Israel and Oz so it would be interesting hearing what you have to say.
On another note I think you could use the audio from some of these video's as podcasts. I'm missing them a bit.
The work we carry out in Autumn is larger bends and interior cleaning plus larger cuts. We have only just left winter here and this tree hasn't pushed its new growth yet so it was a good opportunity for me to clean up some useless growth so the tree doesn't waste resources on them and also give the tree a very basic wire to push its tail into a more photosynthetic efficient position. It will be allowed to let grow free again now to thicken those branches that were left.
