Thinking about relaxing my hair after 8 years of being natural. I’m tired of wigs and braids.
Do whatever works for you!
I just relaxed mine 😑
@@kimrumph1547 after 8 years I did it and dont regret it 😭❤️
“Would you rather be a Granny or be bald headed?!”😂😂🤣💀
Imma be a granny 😂
@@NiaraAlexis me too 🙋🏽♀️
8 weeks is 2 months but yes over processing is a no no. Know your hair type and pay attention to your new growth and texture. I generally get a touch up every season but sometimes I'll plan it around the summertime because with heat and sweating, they sometimes don't last for me. Everybody's different so know your hair and what you can tolerate but please don't over process it. Be well loves 🧡
I only do a touch up 3 times a year. And dont do box braids ...only weave or crochet braids.
To keep my fullness and bounce to my hair. Do the textlax method.
Either night before or couple hours before putting the relaxer.. I slather my hair with design essential vitamin restore treatment, L'oreal ever pure bond and Etae conditoner (hydrolyzed wheat protien and silk protein) i seal it with organic sun flower oil
With my scalp i used blue magic shea.
I found it help keep the hair soft and not over processing the hair.
Your goal is not creat supper straight. Cause when the new growth comes in thats how u can have breakage when trying to go long periods with out a touch up.
You want it to look like a permitted blow out or stretch hair. Almost like braiding hair u use for box braids.
This was soo helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Love the tips. You always give out solid information. 💜
❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been relaxing every 3 months. But I’m streching it to 4 months starting now. My goal is twice a year. I’m sure I can do it👍🏾
Yes! I usually do every 3-4 months too when I’m wearing my hair out
Same here
You can do it, girl 🏆💓
@@SabeeraHausa Thank you🙏🏾 Happy New Year🎊

Yea every month is a no no, great sharing sweetheart 😊
Good points.where were you when i was relaxed ? Stylist would leave the chemical on ,forever.
You are absolutely amazing!! Love how you speak truth with a bit of sass lol😂 you’re on your way to being 100,000 CZcamsr😃❤️ Continued success and God bless you🙏🏾😇❤️ Chrissy🥰❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
You are too funny! Love your delivery!
Thank you!! 😁
An hour is crazy. Ten minutes and my virgin hair was over processed. EyE used the regular. Was looking like a greasy duck.
Made my own concoction and did a protein treatment. ThAnkhs to God it’s finally feeling as if EyE have some hair on my head.
Good content. Im stretching for 9 month BUT 😊 im wearing protective styles like large box braids AND i mosturize while in protective styles. Im ok with that.
I love in the Mojave Desert. It gets up to 120 degrees in the summer. What can I put on my hair when I'm not wearing a hat or scarf?
Unfortunately I think for temps that high it needs to be covered with either to be protected. Sorry I wasn’t more help!
I used a kids relaxer for the first and it over processed, so I plan to only do this every four months. This was such a cool and helpful video, thank you.
You’re welcome
The only difference between regular relaxer and kiddie perm is the child on the box. That's what Linwood said.
you’re so funny 🤣 this was a good video I watched the whole thing
do you just use a reg. leave in for 'sun protection'?
No I put my hair away in protective styles. Nothing will protect your hair from sun damage other than covering it
You are so interesting and funny at the same time.
I got a relaxer in June and now it’s January and was the first time I ever had a relaxer I was natural my whole life and it’s been 8months since I’ve had it relaxed and wanna do it again but I’m scared i mught have a stain breakage what should I do
If you’ve been wearing you hair out this entire time I think it’s time to relax again if you have significant new growth or go back natural. Your hair could start to break off because of the two textures. 6 months is more than enough time for a touch up
Fried to the side😂
Great information! Have you ever co-washed? TFS❤
Yes but not in a long time. I need to donut again soon
What's your hair type?
Not sure!
😂😂😂😂😅you funny. “It should be burning you got sores hahahahahahaha
😂
I love you😂😂😂😂😂
❤️❤️❤️
lmaooo Michael Jackson in The Wiz 🤣🤣
😩😂😂
10 weeks for me..
Is it possible for hair to grow long while still relaxing hair? Your hair looks great, but does it ever grow way past your shoulders.
Yes, absolutely
Mines is under the bra strap, more like mid back.
It's very thick. It definitely is, just take patience and listening to your hair.
I relax my hair either 6 - 8 weeks, plus I split it into two separate sections, as my hair is thick but the strands is fine. I can't relax my hair all in one, as I can't get a proper relax with the volume.
I am in the Caribbean, but my hair just doesn't hold moisture, so I practice the LOC method every two days. Also, I have a schedule for deep steaming ( moisture and protein).
Hope this helps, keep the faith. It took me 3-4 years with frequent trims.
Oh, I also never go to bed without a bunnett. That's the secret 😂
My hair grows better with relaxer, less tangling , don’t have patience my hair is too thick for that. And yes pass shoulders and growing great
I just went back to relaxers after 10 years. My natural hair never went past my braids strap. My relaxed hair was always mid back length.
PERIOD lol and its the truth and drink water....
So you relax all your new growth in 10 mins ? Sry but i cant believe you that one sis…
Also the Part Where you finished will be not relaxed as well let me tell you that!
Yes I apply in about 10 minutes and let it sit for 10. I’ve been doing my own relaxer for some years now so I can get it on pretty quickly
