I relax my hair every two months after stopping the whole stretching thing. My hair is thicker, longer and has almost 0 breakage. stretching looks great on you, but for me I was able to go from shoulder length to waist length hair once I stopped in just a year. You really have to stay in tune with your hair to know what it wants. Great video as usual
I love being apart of the relaxed community ❤❤❤ thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences!!!! Your hair is THRIVING! Give me alllll the chemicals 😭😭
You are so welcome ❤️
"Why do we see the same video over and again"....... Because you work smarter and not harder And you know how to make content efficiently 🤷🏾♀️😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I’m trying! I have to get all I can out of the time I have
I guess Im buying this flat iron tomorrow!!!! Your silk press is out of this planet! I’m the whole week watching different channels to get some tips to try myself at home! And giiiirl your hair is suuuuper shiny! Great great job!!!
Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous hair … the 9 months was so worth it 🤩
Yes it was!
Ya’ll really got me thinking about going back to relaxed!
Such a good point regarding the constant relaxing. I like to relax no more than 3 times a year, sometimes just twice a year. I like to have decent breaks between relaxing. Your hair looks gorgeous lovely and thick.
Thanks for sharing!!
THE HAIR LOOKS LUSCIOUS, SHINY, FULL, BOUNCY, FULL!! Love it
Oh my goodness, your hair is so long and healthy and pretty❤
I put a relaxer in my head for the first time last night and I did a great job!!!! I'm so happy and relieved 🤣🤣🤣
Love it!!
22:05 Beautiful!
I only relax my hair once or twice a year, as well.
I put mine in August, and will not be relaxing again until April or May of 2024.
Now it’s time to protective style. My styles include braid outs, knotless braids, or I pin curl and leave it pinned in a cute style until my next relaxer in 2024.
Thank you for sharing.❤
They could never make me hate the relaxer 😅
Been waiting on this video all week. ❤❤❤
I love your hair and your expertise with the flat iron❤
Hey bookie my mom was a cosmetologist back in the 70's /80's and to have your hair fried, dyed, and laid to the side was a good thang lmaooo
Ive been waiting for this moment!🎉🎉🎉
I feel you on the washing. I use the ORS neutralizer first before I use the Motions one because the ORS is a sulfate shampoo and it lifts everything off better. That way the motions neutralizer acts like a moisturizing shampoo before my conditioning treatment. Got to get every little bit of relaxer out.
Excited about the workout routine video! Your hair definitely looks fuller 😍
Coming soon!
The shine is A+ as per usual.
I love me some relaxer day, hair looks healthy and beautiful 😊
Thank you ❤️
It looks sooooo good.
Your hair came out SO great! It's definitely gained fullness since last Fall😍thanks for sharing!!
Thank you!! 😊
Always a pleasure Niara your hair is thriving and your skin is too. You are on my favorites list. Very relatable I apply my color the very same way and same brand.❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Very SMART
THE WAY
YOU DO
3 VIDEOS
IN ONE 👍🏿🌺☺️
Love your hair videos , so helpful thank you!
You are so welcome!
The bounce and curl is everything!!!
Your hair looks fantastic!!! I could see the growth before you curled it, so it's definitely grown. Do as many videos in one as you can. That's called multitasking and being smart. 💜
Thank you! ❤️
you’re so funny lol I love it!
Really beautiful results keep up the good work
Thank you!
It’s going to be a good fall/ winter 😊
I’m so ready for the cold weather
SO SATISFYING! Your hair is so shiny, healthy, and bouncy. I love it! I am definitely going to follow your tip for the color rinse when I relax my hair next week.
Yes please try & let me know how it turns out ❤️
@@NiaraAlexisUPDATE: It worked great!🎉 I am doing a color rinse on relaxer day from now on. This was also the longest stretch I have ever done (6 months). So I was so happy to see how soft and shiny my hair was at the end of the process.
You are giving really great tips Niara! Keep the good work 👏🏾 ❤
Yes, finally I've gotten. Achance to finish watching...its fuller and longer, but looks beautiful as always...great job...and I'll be waiting fr al the updates and other informatiin...ty so much fr sharing and taking us on the healthy kitchen beautician journey...🥰😍🙂

Your hair is gorgeous and healthy! Today is wash day for me, so i'm watching while I blow dry and style my hair.
"Are my elbows ashy?!" 😂😂
TFS always! ❤
❤️❤️❤️
Your hair looks so healthy and shiny! I just went back to relaxers in May this year have touched up at every 10 weeks but starting in January I am going for every 4 months maybe 5 if I can 😁Love your videos and hair is beautiful
Beautiful you teach me so much on how to care for my texlaxed hair
❤️❤️❤️
IT’S TIMEEEEEEEEEE
Finally! 😂
Finalllyyy 🎉🎉💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Looks great. ❤
Thank you! 🤗
You are really good doing your home relaxer. My hair dresser does the same as you , she only relax my regrowth and washes my hair with the neutralising shampoo as much as you until there is not a trace of pink. Then she washes again with Davines shampoo and Davines conditioner, ( Italian Organic Range ); twice. My favourite leave in conditioner is Revlon Uniq One 👌
Thank you 😊
Every time I watch your videos, I get the itch to relax my hair. ❤
Do you do more of a texlax? It looks like your hair still has some texture, which is what I’d want if/when I decide to relax!😍
My hair does still have some texture but I wouldn’t say that I Texlax my hair
Your hair looks longer & fuller to me. Haven’t had a perm in six months now trying to wait until next March for my birthday 🎂 thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you! Yes I can definitely see the difference in my hair now
@@NiaraAlexis your welcome. 🙂
The therapy I needed this Sunday afternoon❤️💐 (African time)
❤️❤️❤️
Keep making good content ill be watching
🤎🤎🤎
I will watch the same video over and over again. ❤😊 🤷♀️ Your hair looks longer and lush, as always.
Oh thank you!
The most wanted video is out 🤩❤️ Looks bomb too ❤❤!!
Thank you!
Beautiful results as always. Have you tried the flat iron comb that sticks to the flat iron, it has a sticky side? I’ve been wanting to try it the chase method can be a bit much sometimes.
No but I plan on trying it & sharing here!
Beautiful! 🔥💯🔥
Gorgeous 😊
Thank you! 😊
I like when mine is under processed, it's never giving bone straight. Just enough to " relax" the hair
If you ever go natural you’re gonna love it AND your hair will be even more beautiful 📌
Waouw 😍😍😍😍😍
Beautiful hair love! Would u recommend stretching your hair for 9 months Every year?
Only if it’s not damaging your hair. Some ppl can’t stretch for that long. This is the longest I’ve done. I usually do 6 months or so
I truly believe I would have had this density if I didn’t fuck around and stay natural and wear Afro! Before I did protective styles and my hair was so thick. I’m a straight natural now
So beautiful! Do you straighten your hair every week?
Yes I do!
Yeah the day has come!! Your hair is longer definitely! Hope you dont cut it
I dont know if I missed itbut you didnt base your scalp before the relaxer?
And one more question: leaving the relaxer when its tingling or burning… I lnow you can tell the difference but maybe others cant?
Thanks for the video, your hair came out very well, I hope youre happy wlth it
No base on my scalp. I’ve never really used one. And I leave the relaxer on for 10 minutes. That’s the time I need for my hair to process. I don’t do any longer or shorter because then my hair will be over/under processed
One question do you use lye or no lye relaxer? Have you ever covered this topic? Maybe an idea for a video. Thanks a lot
Yes I just said this morning I need to get more knowledgeable about this & plan to cover soon
Hello Niara, your hair is lovely, how long did it took you to apply all your relaxer?
10 minutes or so
Its definitely longer and very healthy, keep slaying queen.
Hi! How long after taking out your protective style did you relax your hair??
I took my braids out the day before
I was wondering how you got your hair to have so much volume and movement, and it’s really because you’re not relaxed straight straight. Your hair is straighten to a slight wave? Maybe I’ve been processing my hair too straight with relaxers, because I barely keep texture.
Why am I trying to read your lips 😂😂??? Anyways, your hair is looking good as always ❤
😂😂😂😂
lol girl same!! She said something about her mom. Guess we’ll have to wait and see 🤭🤣
Pretty. Does it ever tingle even if you don't leave it in long? Is that relaxer for sensitive scalp?
Yes it does that’s just the nature of relaxer & no it’s not specifically for sensitive scalps
@@NiaraAlexis doesn't tingling means scalp is creating blisters? In my experience whenever there is tingling in my head that's a sign blistering is forming and it always turns out that the spots where I got tingling is where I had a slight blister scab. Hopefully your tingling haven't led to blister scabs
I'm watching this again. I notice you don't go underneath the section to apply the relaxer, you only do the top part of the section!
Did u retain length? Or do u prefer shoulder length hair?❤
I did! I’m going to film another update because you really can’t tell with this back shirt. It’s falling a little bit below the frame now! When it’s freshly curled I feel like I can’t tell but now a few days out & my hair has dropped I can for sure see the difference
I was told that no lye is the best because of the recent studies linking lye relaxers to cancer. Do you have a no lye relaxer that you recommend?
I don’t
What do you rinse your hair with? I want to start rinse my hair, but I'm afraid to damage it.
The rinse I use is linked in the description! It’s not damaging it’s just a tint of color
What do you yse to protect the ends of your hair witout it being over processed by the relaxer?!
I didn’t put anything on my ends
@@NiaraAlexis oh ok 👍🏾
what do
you think about using lotta body after relaxing ? i've seen and been to use it for better results , clearly you don't lol your hair looks great jw whAt you think
I’ve never used so I wouldn’t know to have an opinion on it
Do you dye your hair? I really love how dark it is, my hair used to be very black but after doing my relaxer touch up for the 2nd time is becoming brown, do you know why?
She used a black rinse in this video. My hair is also like yours, it gets brown overtime and I think it's a combination of your natural hair color, the chemical process of the relaxer, type of relaxer used and sun exposure.
I used a rinse! My hair is naturally brown so I just use a rinse every couple of weeks to keep it dark
What is the rinse that you use @NiaraAlexis ?
What relaxer do you use pls
Check description
What is your leave in called?? I heard you say Tph ride or die. Please what deep conditioner do you use
Tph ride or die is the leave in I use
Question , you probably answered already but after getting your relaxer when do you wash your hair again ?
I wash my hair weekly
Thank you I’m on track. I literally followed your routine and this is the best relaxer application I’ve ever done. I always want to cut my hair and restart but I’ve decided I’m just going to learn how to take of it. Thank you for the motivation to do so🤍
I left my hair natural, not because of fashion, but because here in the US, I haven't found anyone who can straighten my hair well, and I don't know how to straighten it myself, but I hate natural hair, it's unbearable to hand
I’m a natural 4c girl and I’m thinking of relaxing my hair. However I’m moving to steamy Houston Texas. I have been wearing braids for 3 or 4 years and my hair is at its thickest and longest. I have no Idea what to do.
Not sure what to say about this one. Tbh if I lived in a warm climate like that I’d probably wear braids 80% of the time and wear my hair out when it cools down
Does your hair get stuck at shoulder length bc of this method like do you constantly have to clip ends bc of the over processed part I want to try this but don’t want to get stuck at a length
No my hair has actually grown quite a bit since last year
@@NiaraAlexis thanx
"Did y'all save them? I guess not." 😫😅
I need to learn how to dye my hair, the grays are coming in around the edges 😢
Just get a rinse! You just put it on like conditioner let it sit & rinse it out.
Does stretching relaxer not make your hair fall out? Even if I stretch for 2-3 months my hair starts to fall out when i brush it. Is it because my hair isn’t trained to stretch that long or something? Please help 😭
Everyone’s hair is different. I don’t have an issue stretching for 2-3 months. After that I wear my hair in protective styles
Love the results! I noticed your hair is broken off on both sides by the temples. Is that from wearing the braids too tight and/or too long?
Yes and yes unfortunately. I uploaded a video on my channel about it. It was wayyyy worse a few weeks ago but I’m rehabbing then now to get back really full
Girl I wish I can get that hair🙂🙂🙂
Get the best version of YOUR hair 🤎
What's the rinse for?
Color!
How long does it take you to relax you hair from second 1 where you start applying it until you wash it out? Some relaxed girls like hairlicious say it shouldnt be more than 25 minutes overall, because to have stronger hair you should relax like 85-90% max, not full bone straight, leaving some texture makes it stronger
I definitely have some texture in there after I relax. It’s around 20 minutes including the 10 mins I let it process
@@NiaraAlexis that is very good, 20 minutes the whole process it is fast,
is there a reason why you don’t relax the ends?
Because the ends are already relaxed. You only relax from root to tip if it’s a virgin relaxer aka you ever never relaxed/are fully natural
Or steal them from someone closet in southwest😊
No lye relaxers aren't good for your gair because of the calcium deposits that it leaves!
Me watching this 3 days before my touch up 👁️👄👁️
I'm nervous for you over 2 passes. Wow. Isn't that damaging long term?
I’ve been doing it long term and haven’t had any issues
If my hair didn’t fall out like a heroin addicts teeth… I promise you it would be relaxed 😭 I wish I could but my hair just can’t take it.
Do what works for you! Everyone’s hair can’t manage it
Oh no you definitely gained some length. I can even see it when its curled
Why so many passes with the flat iron. If it a dy$on and dy$ons are expensive. You only need 1 pass
I do the same amount of passes with this flatiron and my Dyson ❤️
Your hair looks the same 9months ago just a little thicker ,what happen did ends break off
The curls definitely hide the length but it did grow ❤️
@@NiaraAlexis ok it really does look beauty and health
Girl u better go off n stretch that content I know that’s right
🤣😂😆but if you took me with you i would have seen the number of times you washed...
😂
It’s gonna fall out soon.
Thank you ❤️
I’m not hating, I’ve just seen it to often. After sometime it’ll randomly break off from where your new growth ends.
Who still put perms in they hair
