      MR. D. Damn straight! Why do none of these boats go for extra sleeping on the lower level? If I am shelling out that money I want to be able to sleep many friends and family on board. I will be eating at a great range of wonderful tavernas and bars next to where I moored. Keep my beers cold, sleep my mates and their families. That’s what we need! Not great cuisine onboard.

      @@mattmatt7305 There are already 3 bedrooms and 2 toilets in the lower level, if you look at other boats around this size that's what those have as well.

    I love the fit and finish, but having your hob upstairs over what looks like a wet bar, but your actual galley below with the full size fridge, cooker, and dish washer, seems to be quite the mess. Thanks again Nick. I am enjoying my trip through the back catalog

  • @Squirel
    @Squirel Před 4 lety +1

    Like many others who have commented, I don't like the split galley. And that's the main point, it's not duplicated, it's split, so anyone cooking has go backwards and forwards between the two - from oven to hob and from sink to dishwasher etc not to mention the split storage. Although a fan of aft galleys, I think in this case it should all have been at the lower station allowing for more saloon/dining space. I think for this size boat, the cabins spaces are certainly sufficient (and very well appointed). Great tour. :)

    I think the main deck galley is a touch redundant though quite nicely packaged. A nice large couch with a pop up telly would elevate the overall looks of the interior. Other than that, I think it looks an extremely attractive boat. Clever design touches in the bedrooms too. Nice boat for the money. Which is about half the price of a Princess yacht of the same size.

  • @superyachtchef

    This whole vessel requires a quick redesign -
    1. Remove the upper galley and increase the living space, add a pop up TV, slimline fridge, ice machine and storage.
    2. Change the colour interior palette (too much like a circa 1990s seaside cavern park).
    3. CABIN 3 - replace the porthole with a full width framed window.
    4. OWNERS CABIN - sort the showerroom out. I'm not sure about the head room but it is a sports version.
    5. Make sure everyone using the fly bridge has a diving certificate....
    And are there too many steps on this boat?
    Honestly, it's a mess that could be put right very quickly.

    On a 50ft boat in the Med or the Caribbean you aren’t eating big dinners on the boat. You are eating at tavernas or bars near where you tie up. Lunch is an easily prepared buffet or similar if in a bay en route. These huge acres of wasted space below decks on a galley where you could easily fit another set of bunks for friends and family are a design mistake these boat builders often overlook. Space isn’t an issue during the day. It is during the night when you want to sleep guests.

    • @samus4799
      @samus4799 Před 3 lety

      I personally am not a fan of having tremendous amounts of sleeping accommodations. For instance, there are 30 foot sailboats that accommodate 10. The sacrifices needed for the boat to be made to do such a thing make the boat quite impractical for living aboard. Dinettes are a glaring example, often chosen for convertability. I'd rather have a couple mounted armchairs than a dinette.

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  Před 5 lety +4

      I didn't quite understand the split galley idea. If the radar is a concern, you don't have to run it of course.

    • @Kennethah81
      @Kennethah81 Před 5 lety +3

      I agree on the galley. I guess the idea is to use the lower part for prepping and do most of the cooking upstairs, but in practice it seems silly.
      As for the radar, I guess you rarely sit on the flybridge in conditions requiring the use of the radar anyway. Alternatively you can mount a broadband radar (such as a Simrad 4G or similar) as the nature of their operation (continuous low power transmission rather than pulsed high power transmission of a traditional radar) gives a lower RF-radiation exposure than a cell-phone.

    • @visionist7

      @@Kennethah81 will Simrad release a 5G radar?

    • @Kennethah81
      @Kennethah81 Před 4 lety

      @@visionist7 Good question. Most of the radar manufacturers seems to be concentrating on next generation pulsed radars with pulse compression and doppler-processing these days. It'll be interesting to see if the two product lines will continue side-by-side or if one of them will be discontinued.

  • @visionist7
    @visionist7 Před 4 lety +2

    OK, so it certainly isn't fancy, less Sunseeker Mercedes and more Beneteau Fiat, but it's still a cool boat. And affordable!
    I was about to comment on the very skimpy aft galley then I saw that there's another galley 0_o Kinda cool I guess but not sure why. There isn't a dinette down there so is it designed for two separate couples aboard to cook separately? Those crazy boat builders!

    Great cabins and fly bridge. I don’t think that two galleys is a way to go. The first one could have been a salon, and down it had more than enough space for galley. Wooden door next to the shower, rip door. The cushions look like they will drown in water in rain. Too expensive. 2010 yacht for 300k offers the same
