You saw the deer drop immediately, so running toward the target is not inappropriate. But, If you don’t see it drop, it a good idea to wait a minute or two and then walk quietly in. A wounded animal will go to rest more quickly before dying, if the hunter doesn’t spook it.
I wished they added some way to id an animal that u shot at but it wasent enough to kill it. If there are more then 1 animal with the same age and gender then there is no way to tell what animal u shot at. Maybe add a blood stain on there fur or have it limp even just a little when the animal is walking around. The game keeps track of how many bullet hits each animal have taken even if it dosent die so it wouldent be that hard for the game to id if an animal has been hit. Shooting a running animal is almost impossable so they wouldent need to add a new running limp animation if they dont want to, but just something to show that this is the animal u made a bad shoot at so we can put it out of its misery. The whole storyline is about hunting ethically so tracking down an animal u made a bad shoot at only makes sense but u have no way to id it as of now.
Any one else watching this as the game is running waiting for the moose to have their 9:00am drink, while perched on a rock cliff over hanging their drinking spot...?
If I only have about 30 minutes to maybe an hour of free time per day for gaming, is this game still worth it? I like COTW, but it feels a bit too gamey and not sim-like
Yeah if u don't mind killing only a animal or 2. On the map you can see where the herds are at, where their need zones are and when they'll be at those zones. You can just sleep right before that time, drive to that spot and look out for the animals
