- Let's talk a beginner's guide in Way of the Hunter! I cover the two methods I think you could take when starting out in the game. I break them down into how they're different but also how they're similar, all while showing it in the game! Hope you enjoy it!

I asked on discord yesterday. Answered by a developer. Random map generated each time a multiplayer session is created.
That’s good to have it confirmed! Thank you for letting us know!
Great video , using photo mode in the options is a game changer your able to pause and move your camera out to 80 -100 meters and 30 meters up which gives you the ability to do a quick 360 scan of the area . also identifying the antlers is way easier that way
100%. I say I’m using the drone so it keeps with the immersion of the game. Lol
This is a awesome beginner's guide. Explained very well & helpful.
Thank you!! 💪🏻
Walk the creek banks and once you've got the perk upgraded where you can walk and have hunter sense active, you can fly through the process, where you can learn where all the species are in an area. right below the ranch like he said is a great spot i wish i would have known early. But just know the first place you scout is water bodies. Then you want to find the eating, resting places of those animals. Follow the footprints. Or, you can grid areas around that icon and walk in a snake pattern, say 500 yds from that icon. One you've found the 2 drink, rest, and eat symbols on the map, go to the encyclopedia and look up the animal species and see what time of day they do those things and especially know the "frequently used" ones and note what time to set up upwind or cross wind from that point and make sure you're following the deer anything but down wind.
That first large creek is actually pretty good but if you're looking west and go behind that large hill there's another long smaller creek that's more protected for the animals that all the deer gather. I like hunting deer though...elk tastes nasty. 😂
A fun technique is the drive by ganster:
1. Gramps old gun
2. Red Dot sight
3. Roll in your ride and when they run across the street
4. Jump out and yell, "EAT LED BAMBI!!"
5. PRAY AND SPRAY.
Thabks for the help i just purchased this game for xbox ,
You are so underrated
I appreciate that. It’s a huge compliment!
How long would you say for 3 or 4 stars to grow into 5 stars? I know they won’t always grow into 5 stars but can you just rest a few in game days and it’ll be a 5? Would you recommend resting in game to get them to grow? Loaded question sorry
Dang solid question! So it actually depends on each species. Each animal has a different life span in the game (I.e. black bears go up to 20+ years and whitetail max at 8 years I believe). With that being the case you can have a mature 3 star black bear and a mature 3 star white tail at the same time but the black bear will be around longer and more likely to hit 5 stars in theory. As far as how to get them to go it’s based on actual time elapsed in game, so you can’t just spam the sleep cycle to get them to grow. There’s no confirmed amount of time that has to elapse from what I’ve seen but what seems to work for me is at a minimum I’ll hunt from 0900-1400 and they’ll usually have grown or respawned as a young at that point. Hope that helps!
@@FullSendWhiskeyGaming thank you I appreciate it!
Of course. And forgot to add you do have to rest to the next day. So usually my hunts at a minimum go from 0900-1400 then rest to 0900 or a little earlier. Then I’m checking in on my 4 stars.
@@FullSendWhiskeyGaming I just heard that one day equals 6 months! Not sure though
@koofdome do the seasons change on this game? So like if it's Fall they start fighting one another?
I am still trying to score a 5 star moose. Have 4 in the 4 star range on my map right now hope one makes it.
Hoping the best for you! I had a 4 star I was hoping would hit it but unfortunately didn’t last to make 5 star. Moose and mule deer are the last antlered species I need to get with 5 stars
@@FullSendWhiskeyGaming they are the toughest I have had 3 other 4 star moose die on my map that I know of trying to let them hit 5 star.
@@FullSendWhiskeyGaming Oh and I was not aware of that lake for the elk. Thank you.
That’s too bad. I really hope for an Alaska map or Canada map soon so we can have better moose population. Especially with rares and uniques coming to the game
I got the 5 star moose. Scored 460 on the money.
Awesome!! Congrats!!
Have Morning Silence, The first Rem 783, a 16x scope, bought slightly better Binos. Got the all around duck call and the deer caller.
Am I going $10K side by side or .338 Lapua so I can down this 4 star Elk I just found? I've shot him in the lungs twice from 225. But i can already see why a side by side is better to get in the small trails but wondering if the noise and handling is worth the money compared to a new gun. I mean at the end of the day all considering that 783 has no bullet drop and I'm more of a shoot the heart and if miss keep nailing them. Huge guns gonna ruin meat, right? And all the other ballistics have terrible drop past 215 yds.
Raise your hand if you turned off all your power save settings and made your guy crawl prone for 5+ hours overnight in the grasslands. 🙋♂️ 😂
I’ve still yet to crawl prone the amount I need to….maybe I’ll visit the grasslands tonight. 🤣
As far as side by side or gun…I’m not sure. More guns might be better for now.
Does the side by side crawl steep hills and such better than the jeep?
Do the crawl along the river. Scout the best area in the straightest stretch with no trees, rocks, creeks. My theory as to why there's so many boulders evenly spaced in that furthest flat area south in the grasslands, because devs know how gamers like me roll. And I'm not to proud to go scaring game in my jeep, popping out with grandpa's gun and going ham with that red dot sight... 😂
@briansnead4787 I’d say it’s equivalent to walking.
