    For peeps with an Nvidia card. Open up Nvidia Control Panel Application, Desktop, Adjust desktop size and position, select the display (might be just the one - I set the laptop to only see the TV, so only one display for me) then click size tab, click resize button, then the 2 sliders appear for Horizontal and vertical adjustment. Ok, - Hope that helps someone. Thanks to Britec s video for sending me in the right direction.

    Anyone who is in Intel instead of AMD, go to Window and search "Intel Graphics Command Center" > from the left bar, click on Screen icon > Select the following screen and go to Scale > Click on Custom > Adjust the scaling yourself.

  • @detmer87
    @detmer87 Před 9 lety +6

    Make sure your TV is set to PC mode (DVI mode or such). This makes sure that the TV applies 1:1 pixel mapping. Every (at least 1080P, 2006+) television supports this. Sometimes you need to use HDMI 1 port or the DVI output or rename the input name to PC. Don't know how? read the manual (manuals can always be downloaded from the website in pdf).
    The method in the video should never be necessary. Scaling back the image reduces image sharpness, so make sure you use 1:1 pixel mapping. It should look just as sharp and perfect like a normal PC monitor.

    All TV's sold with the "HD ready 1080p" certified logo (roughly all TV's 2008 and newer) support 1:1 pixel mapping.
    So for these TV's you need to look in the manual (or Google it) for properly setting up your TV. Once setup properly it should behave like a monitor, no scaling issues what whatsoever!

    I have an ATI HD 4200 in an older Gateway that was upgraded from Win7 Home to Win10. The LG screen needed scaling using HDMI but ATI has no interest in updating their drivers so I was stuck with the black boarders. Since I was not invested in super HD output, all that was needed to be done was to downshift to using the SVGA ports to get a full screen size.

    Computers and tv's, allways fun.
    Do you think the actual screen pixel count or arrangement is wrong, or do you suspect the tv of messing around with it.
    Hdmi should be a 1-1 fit if both ends are at the same resolution, no processing required, or am i just a pillock lol.
