@@hunterr1062 did u even see an ecm under that seat. Those are not cheap, rims and tires were shot. So was master cylinder and lines. Who knows about rotors/calipers? Needs both seats. He pulled trans out of 4th gear I think. Usually means it was crashed in fourth gear. If ur doin it for fun or practice or even to restore thats one thing, but he's doing it to sell. Not a good option to me. That's just me though.

Hey maxy! For a rusted gas tank, fill it works toilet bowl cleaner and let it sit. The hydrochloric acid in the toilet bowl cleaner eats rust that’s how I cleaned my 750 katana tank and it’s shiny on the inside now and looks brand new

Let’s see part two! I just bought an 04 GSXR 1000 that’s been sitting for almost 6 years outdoors. But mine ran great just needs tank, chain and sprocket, tires and just for looks some new fairings and a good clean.

If you want that tank to look like new inside. Metal rescue is what I use. Add one gallon to the tanks and flip it every day allowing the product to clean up every section of the tank. On the last day flip it every hour then pour it out. Rinse quickly and then dry immediately. I use a hair dryer
Well this one ought to be interesting Maxy! They do make tank sealing products for that purpose, might be worth looking into.
MAXY if you're gunna be rebuilding bikes for the hustle series, any negotiation you should try to cut the asking price in half, so that you can get the bike for ((at least)) 25% less than their listing price. Even if you offend them with your first price, NOBODY will ever say "ok fu go home" they will negotiate with you and if your bottom line is low their selling price will be lower than your bottom line. Saving even $100 over time per flip adds up! Keep it up man i love the maxy hustle series.

MaxWrist Gold last bike I bought was a v-star 650 posted for $2500, I offered the guy $1200, I bought it for $1500 rode it all last year and sold it this year for his asking price $2500. Made $1000 and all I did was replace a $10 part! Just gotta throw the lowball and set them up man. Good luck on your gxsr bro 😎

It will be interesting to see how this turns out : ) ....We have a product over here called Metal Rescue that might work in removing the rust.. I think they are known to crack frames (unsure of model).... I knew of someone who died because his frame fractured after landing a wheel stand... he ended up going through a wire road barrier... I assume it's worth more than $650 in parts....

Dud that's the stuff I love to do it's a good deal and real easy to fix it been doing that since I was 2 years old started with an old 75 cb750 and still have it have been all throw my 93 zx11 my 98 katana 600 my 83 xn85 turbo lol that one up only like 3 in America and my 03 gsxr750 hell mine was way worse than the one you just picked up is my dream to fix and flip bikes

Bought a 02gsxr 600 running for 650 also needed some tlc. Turned it naked. Runs freakin awesome. Not sure why its a head turner looks like some mad max bike.

For the gas tank they sell a toilet cleaner called the works at home Depot or Walmart for like 1.00$ I've used that and it cleans the tank real nice get like 5 bottles and shake the tank around let it sit for a couple of days if you want then dump it out and rinse it out use WD-40 or some kind of oil to coat the inside so it doesn't flash rust again

I had the same problem, my gas tank was rusty as hell i fixed it pretty easy. So, you take the gas tank off of the bike and put a bit of gas in there and some rocks that are about the size of your thumb, then you blick all exits and start shaking as hard as you can for about 30-45 min. And that should fix it.

You can use that tank it just takes a 2-day rust treatment and gas will eat through any plastic this not made for carrying gas I learned this the hard way your idea will work with a gas can and some mods

Maxy save the tank u can fill it with vinagor for 6 to 8 hours and drain it out the rinse it out with 2 stroke gas a few times and the rust will be gone but rinse it as soon as u drain it or it'll flash rust

These were great engines too. Fuel injected 165hp with a lot of torque. With plenty more as these ran super rich tunes. And VERY light. Lighter than today’s GSXR1000.
