Best, most believable, well written married couple in all of television! Friday Night Lights is a masterpiece!
I love how he says take me to Philadelphia with you please
Commitment and compromise. I love coach and Tammy. Arguing about who will get the door is so real lol.
Eric needed to think about not only what West Dillion did to him, but also what they did to Tami. She never once brought that up that their contracts were unjustifiably terminated, then passed along to East Dillion to get them out of the way.
Not sure if Eric ever considered that, but I’m always grateful they ended the show this way
Actually didn't Tammi leave West Dillon herself? She was principal there during Season 4 when Eric started coaching East Dillon.
@@jayzee7538 if memory serves, she was going to be fired and that pressured her to quit and become a guidance counselor at East Dillon. This was because she gave a students options that led to a student making the choice to have an abortion.
So technically she wasn’t fired, but only because she left
Eric did consider that at first and then thought that it was water under the bridge since the McCoys were gone.
@@emorydaniel9084 Luke Cafferty’s mom was a real b-word for that
@@jayzee7538they were trying to force her out. She offered to be a counselor at East Dillon after she was being terminated, because she didn't feel like going through a lengthy wrongful termination lawsuit. It was just a practical thing, but she was forced out
This was a tear-jerking moment.
The strong relationship these two have is absolutely amazing, she’s made changes for his sake, for his career. Now he’s giving doing the same thing for her in return. He loves his wife more than anything.
The Dillon Panthers superteam will do well with the former coaches of the East Dillon Lions, the things he left behind with them? They’re gonna be great.
He’s putting an end to that phase in his life and career.
I’m not even into football and after all these years this is still one of the best shows I’ve ever seen and always will be
Now let’s do one of Matt proposing to Jules and another of Coach telling Matt “NO!”
Coach should be thanking buddy. West Dillon didn’t deserve to have him back after the way they treated him. Whether it was influenced by joe McCoy or not, they could’ve stood up for him but didn’t. But when they realized they made a huge mistake now they want him back. But if buddy doesn’t call coach so early, maybe he doesn’t read that letter about his wife from braemore. Coach up until that point was pretty stubborn and looked as if he was going to take west dillons offer. So thank you buddy lol
Yeah a few moments happened to help persuade him. Julie got proposed to and they had that big talk about compromise. But yes that phone call on in the morning was symbolic about how The power brokers for Dillon football will do anything to get what they want.
The character moments were always the best part of this show.
With two Texas state championships under his belt, Taylor had to know that finding a head coaching job in Philadelphia would not be a problem.
He didn't get the second one until after this scene.
@@thewilliammao even than he had gone to two finals before the 3rd final with east dillon. Amy high school in the country would live him!
Jason Street was already fielding offers about him prior to this.
Tom Brady should watch this scene over and over again.
This is a funny comment, but honestly....facts!
I’m a Tom Brady fan and I agree with this 100%!
😂😂😂😂😂
7 time champ? Or just a deadbeat dad whose to say
This show reminds me of better times
It was Matt at the door, by the way!!
3:08-3:48 I Love the Instrumental's in this Scene in Particular upon Eric Entry into the Mall up to the Closure of the Clip.
Inside It All Feels The Same - Explosions in the Sky
Thanks 💯😉,Much Appreciated 👍.
Coach talking to Santa Claus! What a wonderful show.
This was the one time Tammy's request made sense. In the first season, she ridiculously didn't want to leave Dillon because of her counseling job, but she got pregnant and missed the school year anyway for maternity leave - a whole new class arrived and another left.
She might as well have left for Austin, then after maternity leave, find a new school to be a guidance counselor. Eric could've been a head coach in college and then she could've easily gotten a job in a college herself
probably the best scene of the whole show
Such well written characters its easy to imagine their conversations we dont witness
Tammy woulda left Coach this time if he made her pass on her dream.
I love that they make it seem like Philadelphia is like coaching in the Middle East “you always said you could coach anywhere, hunny” lmao Pennsylvania has very very very high level football, probably top 5 in the nation and 100% top 10. I guess it’s not Texas though.
Texas to Pennsylvania is as steep of a drop off as you can get between any two states that have a historical football background (like obviously its not Alaska or Wyoming). Texas is the number one state in America for football because it has a rabid fan base at every single level (from pee-wee to pro)
@@whenaubreyhearsthis How familiar are you with PA football 😂 because from this reply it sounds like you aren’t familiar at all. WPA and EPA (Pittsburgh and Philly) have produced some of the best players of all time and have extremely high level high school football with strong fanbases, too my guy. PA Is consistently ranked in the top 5-10 for all states in terms of HS football behind basically just TX, CA and FL
(what’s ironic about all of this is that the man who created Friday Night Lights almost chose to set it in Pittsburgh based off of the team Aliquippa which has produced 5 HOF players (Darelle Revis, Mike Ditka, Ty Law, Tony Dorsett and Pistol Pete Maravich in basketball) and is a town with 10,000 people. He was swayed to set it in Texas instead. This is googleable information)
😭😭 Eric and Tami forever.
why am I crying again
This is literally what lead Coach Taylor to say no……
1:32 1:42 3:33
Wish that they had shown that part where Eric turns down the contract so we could the look on Buddy Garrity’s face……
I don't get why Coach says Texas is where we make our home and is stubborn about it. He was ready to leave for Florida 3-4 episodes before this.
This feels inconsistent to me.
Cause it's not on his terms which is the definition of stubborn
He was never leaving for Florida.
Yeah I think he was basically just coming up the best arguments you could think of to try to convince her to stay.
@@marcuslosgreat4225I mean he did go all the way down there have dinner got a job offer.... She was willing to support him if he wanted to do it. Ultimately chose to stay at East Dillon because it was working out so well. But the point stands, he didn't have some romanticized view of Dillon. Particularly West Dylan treated him like s***
@@michaelcorcoran8768I mean he can be a hypocrite sometimes too. His character felt so real to me. Everyone in this show is so flawed and I love it.
Where's the clip where Coach tells Smash to go all the way?
We all want it!!
That was one of my favorite scenes & episode on this show. After Smash ball out in the live scrimmage scoring the TD on a screen pass. The Coach from A&M said to Taylor "Which knee he busted up, I couldn't tell" Coach Taylor had one word for him "EXACTLY"
His knee is just fine!
Where is the clip when Tim decides to go to jail for billy
Maybe Santa will upload it
What's the song at the end?
Inside It All Feels the Same - Explosions in the Sky
tammy was right. coach was a terrible to her in the last season. she made so many sacrifices for her career for him and their family. he made sacrifices too but they've both mentioned how much they've moved for his career. he was so selfish and refused to see her pov. tammy allowed him to coach at tmu while she was pregnant and their family was falling apart so he should let her live her dream too. i'm glad he finally came to his senses.
It was Tammi stupid idea to not move the family for the TMU position and it almost tore the family apart.
Like Tammy selfishly ditching her husband TMU opportunity came up?
Do yall think Tami rang Coach Taylor’s jingle balls after that?
Who's better.. Tami and Eric or Rayna and Deacon?
Nashville was good but Tami and Eric was so much better and it’s not even close.
Please Tami and Eric are iconic.
Remember when Coach gave up on his dream of coaching in college cause Tammy decided to stay in Dillion pregnant on her own? Don't get me wrong Dillon is a horrible town in need of a cleansing but my god Tammy has selective memory.
Wait til they both find out what a toilet Philly is
