Several of those times, Finland had finished in the bottom 5, were relegated or failed to qualify for the Finals.
Not much but I'm happy we got that one win after so long time... :D
2006 never forget
To be honest, Finland deserved at least one set of 12 points in 1979, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1989 and 2014. Well, in 2014 we actually got 12 points both from Hungarian televoters and the Italian jury, but the score system was what it was back then... 🙄

No we don't all of our entries prior to 2006 (And most after) were absolute dogshit.
I will say there is a video of the Finnish broadcast of the voting, and it's way more fun to watch the voting with the Finnish commentators freaking out every time they get top marks (and losing their minds when the last few countries vote and it's obvious that Finland can't be caught).
I would love to see that, honestly!
