- Opening up this pool for summer! The water was quite clear but there was a lot of algae stuck to the surface which needed brushing! The results are amazing! Crystal clear water!!
Let me know what you think! - Zábava
Excellent. Thanks for sharing your expertise. I've just bought a property with a pool in France and the knowledge I'm learning from you is going to save me thousands. Thank you!
I loved maintaining the pool we had at our previous home. This was so satisfying to watch. If I didn’t live in the north, I think I would make it my career. Good job!
some people deserve a ton of respect, you're one of them

Just don’t turn your multiport valve counterclockwise like he does. Bad for the fittings inside and will cause them to leak.

Dude I'm a pool cleaner for 9 months now, and being able to watch these videos and FULLY understand is dope. Although English pool tech differs slightly from the American counterpart, still cool!
Pool guy of 8 years here 😂
@@cravenmorpus hello sir. i'm curious. in what condition we need to entirely change the water? why in this video they did not change the wate?
Hi, I’m in north east and get pool open close by a company, when I opened the pool this year the whole floor is covered with green algae. I’ve mesh cover and The closing company puts some chemicals at the time of closing but that might not be enough. How much shock I should add in middle of the season? my pool is about 30 thousand gallon. Thanks in advance for your help.
Beautiful pool after a job well done. Thanks for sharing doll!!!
Yup... 30 + years of opening our pool here. It's always a good feeling to hear the wife's "YUCK" replaced with "OH MY, HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT LOOKS!"
Enjoy the summer y'all!
Oh and...
Thanks for the video, the pool opening came out great!
A good pressure washing of the brick and pavers would make the area POP!
You frikin ezs hool
This just happened to my son. He bought a house with a pool and took off the cover, and it looked and smelled like a pond. 2 inches of black, stinky, sludge on the bottom. After 5 days of scooping, scrubbing, vacuuming, backwashing, and a lot of chlorine, it’s crystal clear.
I love your videos so much. Not only are they very interesting to watch, but the sound of your voice and the water sounds are so so relaxing. This is defo ASMR for me. 😊❤️❤️.
I think this is one of your videos I’ve enjoyed the most. You seemed to know what questions I had as I was watching & you said simply - as well as seeing from actual start to fin. Cheers 👍
We live on the Texas gulf coast, the weather mostly stays warm enough that we don’t have to winterize our pool or equipment. If the temps drop we just keep the equipment running. We have weekly pool maintenance such as your self, but I love watching your videos and the chemical process that you use to transform these pools. We did have issues with algae last year, since the largest chlorine mfg here in the US was shut down after being hit with two major hurricanes in 2020 since they were located in SE Louisiana, the chlorine tabs available were coming from China and a much lower active chemical content. I had to learn about shocking and other things to keep our pool in swimmable condition between our weekly maintenance appointments with our pool guy! Much respect for what you do!

31 years doing this over 4000 pools nice to see someone who takes pride in doing this you do alot of the same things I do on openings except I shock then brush the pool was like watching myself don't ya just love you ever changing office view each day stay safe ✌
Wow what a neat job. Thank you for sharing that with us.
Turned out lovely thanks for letting me get involved
I admire you not only do you know all about pools have helped people like grandmas pool also very professional and your videos are great
Every time I watch your vids it makes me miss my pool from years ago. I loved cleaning it in the summer…not so much in the winter 🥶🤣 This pool turned out so beautifully!
I've worked on pools since 1992 and have never seen a wall brush like yours in Florida. I use liquid chlorine (Bleach) in 2.5 gallon jugs and sodium Bromide as an algicide (bromine powder/ Yellow treat) and a flocculant to make everything sink after brushing and Vacuum to waste like you did, sometimes with a portable pump I have if they have a cartridge filter or no waste line on their equipment.
Love the vids from one pool guy to another 🤣🇦🇺
That cover is the reason I use solid covers. Pools are good to go in about 36 hours after opening in the spring.
A good trick to make it easier to pull the cover off is to leave it all attached, and then fold, using the squares as a guide, folding from one end to the other, pulling anchors as you go.
I tend to add granular to the pool before brushing, helps kill the algae first. Find it releases better.
Ever thought about getting a deck pump for when pools are that bad, easier to clean out the pump basket, and less wear and tear on the clients equipment.
Get the larger vacuum head!!!! will double your productivity or more.
Did a great job, but there are a lot of ways to increase your productivity.
Thank you for the long version video.Awesome job.
I have learned so much from your videos! I have a above ground pool and videos like his help me to know how to maintain it. You do awesome work! If I was from where you are and not from the States, I’d have you come do my pool ❤️
Wow the end part was really unbelievable, that’s such a great job done by you. Really amazing!
Loved watching this
Very satisfying and great! Nice work
YOU PERFORM MIRACLES..YOUR WORK IS STELLAR.
watch the whole video and it makes me speechless 🙊
it was amazing cleaning.. well done 👏
Can we just say thank you to him for cleaning pools 😊
Really like the underwater shots!!!
Awesome job sir👍💯
What kind of chemicals you put into the pump strainer?
I like these longer videos please do more 👍✌️
Love watching your videos 💪🏻👍🏻

Love your vids bro 🔥🔥
A pro tip that was given to me a few years ago was to shock a pool over the winter. Here in the northeast US that would mean pealing a corner of the cover back (2 sides) and dumping a gallon of shock in each side around December 1st. Do it again after Easter. When the cover is removed in May it will NOT be green, although there will be some junk on the bottom. This saves that week of waiting for things to clear up, and a whole lot of brushing.
I live in the north east in Pa. I put shock in when I close it in October and never bother with it again. I open it up in May and the water is crystal clear. I have had many pools over the last 35 years and have always done the same thing, and always had good results. When you put shock in, make sure you are using the right amount for the gallons of water in your pool.
@@curtzeek8818 ... in this case it's the typical inground, 18 x 36 (over 20k gallons) but due to the heavy tree population it gets junk, even with the cover on for the winter. (goes under the edges) That's why we do the second dose in the spring.
@@curtzeek8818 wat temp do you guys get at minimum their because chock at my place is not wurking i think here it is a little bit colder
@@fryske.tynster It usually averages 80. Yesterday it was up to 85. I was home later last night , checked the temp and because it was up, I jumped in to cool off. Very hot and humid here right now. It's supposed to stay cloudy today, otherwise another day like yesterday, we'd be flirting with 90.
I agree with Curt. I live in Southeast PA and we have a solid safety cover not mesh like as the one in the video. Chems are put in upon closing and opened in Spring it's clear and blue other than some debris and worms etc.
Going slow over the debris is a pro move. Nice.
Watching this calms me down.
A fair few of my clients have pools. I've always been shocked at how they let them get at times. Nice video 👍
Well done dorling.
I have an 18,000 gallon pool and have found the HTH Green to Super Blue kit works amazing for about $30.
I don't know why but I feel satisfying watching this.
I can never get my pool to vacuum that good
Amazing bro
Those loud engine vehicles are international! Idiots always are! Enjoyed! TYVM!
I'm ready to go swimming 😊
Nice job bro... I love doing this type of work too here in Brazil me and my wife are pool cleaners also... We clean pools around here that are like swamps but couple of days later looks like crystal water... Congratulations to you
Dude. I would definitely hire you. You don’t see dedication like that these days. You’ll hit 1 million subscribers in no time.
Our pool when it starts up has a lot of air coming out, which makes it really loud. The pump stops overnight and fires back up in the morning. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Also do see a little bit of air coming out the jets pumping fresh water back into the pool.
Hey PoolGuy, do you know if using a 1.1kw pump with a 3 bag filter will damage the laterals? Filtration definitely hasn't been great.
I think I remember you closing this pool at the end of the season last year. You put a couple of empty pouring bottles left in the pool, I can’t remember why you did this??? Did it work? Great looking pool after you have worked your magic!!
lovely 🤩
These days, respect must be earned, not demanded. He earned it.
Just curious if after cleaning the pool and throwing those powders to clean the water, do you still changed the water?
You sounded fedup in this video 😂 top job tho budd
My water has lots of iron in it and when mixed with the chlorine it turns green. What do you recommend to use?
What rolling pool cover is that - that looks awesome.
Cant you spray the acid solution on the walls or will it just not work
What is your take on tablets in the skimmer, is there a time or type of pool that you don't use this method? Thanks!
I am a newbe on this subject, however, when I acquired a pool I applied a lot of common sense and much needed knowledge of chemicals. Chlorine is great for killing bugs and pathogens but it can also kill people if not used with caution and much needed knowledge. If the pool is outdoors in the sun the UV will kill off many pathogens if it is circulated but also encourage algae to grow if not circulated enough and through a filter. A filter will collect the offending pathogens where there is no sunlight and so algae will not grow quickly so small amounts of Chlorine is required and the main pathogens can be be controlled with direct UV fitted to the water system.
Hey I'm from Nigeria
I have been cleaning pools over three.yrs now
question: have u ever falling in a pool, and if so do u have a recording of it?
Can the device at 12:51 pick up solid debris like stones or it only works for light debris like leaves, dead algea, and slit/sand????
Damn clear as ice
I know right!
@@thepoolguyml you really did a nice job
I find your videos really relaxing 😌 although I know you work really hard. It must cost a fortune to have a pool 🏊♀️ that size heated? Especially as the fuel prices are being hiked all the time. Another amazing transformation, pool looks ready for a party 🎉. Me - I’m off to the swimming baths 😞. Thanks for another relaxing transformation
What is the size of this pool and how deep is it ? Good job by the way
Been watching you videos and wanted to know how much would it cost to clean a 36ft by 18ft in ground kidney shape pool. It holds 25,000 gallons of water. Has a lot of algae on the bottom.
Do you recommend a sand filter over a cartridge filter?
Is the green water normal and does the stuff in the white container basically bleach the water ?
one of the earliest I've ever been
Same!!
Who asked
How long does it take you to prep a pool? Like in this video for instance.
what is that liquid you give into the pump at around 4:00? Just water or chemicals?
I noticed when you changed the valve back to filter you didn’t turn it all the way around.
Holla at your Boy! ✌️
Hi Guys I have a Pool in Cyprus and keep it maintained and clean throughout the winter, I was told that if I did not keep the filter fully working all the time, it may blow when it’s left empty for a while ?
We have a pool and we use a pool vacuum cleaner robot and it goes around the floor up the stairs and all of that it really helps
You should link the video from when you worked on this pool before!
Only if our pool guy would do this our pool would be fun to be in.
Thank you!
using the vac is dope but for picking up leaves suck because of pp getting clogged up try using a leaf vacuum
Love from india 🙏
Wouldnt be easier to just dump like 3 or 4 jugs of chlorine and just wait to the next day a tada the pool is clear and then just go to a pool store and let them tell you what it needs to finish the clarity. Great looking pool. Stay cool bro
Hi! Do you know much about getting stains off of the bottom of pools? It’s an exposed rock chlorine pool We’re having some trouble with green and rust stains in the pool
There was a video where he used a hydrochloride acid wash to remove stains however that was on a tile pool
Good job bro but very hard work
So if you put it on Waste damage ,,is it gonna take water out in the pool??
Did you backwash and rinse too?
Been trying to bring the pool in Northern California. Chlorine shortage! I think the manufacturers have "cut" the chlorine because it sure as hell isnt working! Ive used one 25lb bucket already and on the second!
Awesome job. But you're speaker is very low. Barely can hear you
interesting. thanks!
When ever i have hoovered my pool, i always hoover to the filter , and after i finished, backwash to waste and then flush, saves loosing a lot of water. Especially if you have just spent 10-15 mins of pumping your pool out, just wondering what the real difference is between hoovering to waste and the way i do it.
it would appear to be a sand filter so for the first vac of the season it's probably better to waste a bit of water and not clog the media. It will take a week to get the chemicals right anyway and a clean pool will need less chlorine to get the water clear.
Miles, did you change the water on this video?
Now ima clean my big whole pool
L'hai molto trascurata per questo motivo era piena di muffa, sono funghi. Ma per fortuna non c'è voluto troppo per disinfettare e farla tornare usabile . Da pulita è bellissima mi piace molto pure a me ❣️🥰 bravo ragazzo 👏👏👏
Love that underwater cam. Does the cover that you showed towards the end help retain heat or is it mainly to keep debris out?
It’s to stop the sun getting to it and generating algae.
You should do a time lapse channel
I always refused to have a pool installed in my backyard and now I know exactly why I was right.
Youre broke thats it
Ugh my pool need a new liner and all now the pool is filled with tad poles. Getting fixed soon
The vacuum he uses are faster than the robot ones because it is faster hand powered
Ganda pani
That cleaned up nicely, but I am fortunate to never have a green pool at opening. In fact, the water is usually crystal clear but with fine sediment on the bottom that creates some cloudiness when stirred up. But, we have an autocover, which probably makes all the difference, as I'm able to open the cover a few times in winter and remove leaves/debris. Plus, the pool is always shocked during closing. My neighbor's pool, without an autocover, is nasty green at opening.
It must be nice to have money. I'd love to have a beautiful pool.
Nice
