SLIME POOL CLEAN UP!

- Finally the slime pool has been cleaned up! The liner was leaking so needed to be changed but before we done that we wanted to have a little fun with it! Dyed it red and then filled it with slime!
This time around before the liner went in we added felt underlay which makes it so much more comfortable and the pattern choice from the customer is butterfly grey which looks soo good!

So this is the new 6 am weird CZcams rabbit hole for me huh. First it was hoof trimming, now pool cleaning… well least it’s satisfying.
I started off in Disney now it’s 4 am and I’ve gone through dream works, thief and the cobbler, transformers, and somehow I ended up here

Yeah, hoof trimming was pretty cool….if I may make a suggestion….ATC conversations!
The liner looks great, its so nice to see something other than the same old blue/white tiles

For a second I thought we were all in trouble for encouraging you to swim with slime and colourful water!! Seeing the lining being replaced was actually a joy. Happy memories, and now a new liner to make more memories 🙌🏽 Nicely done!

Definitely looks cool but I think reason most pick blue/white is too better see the quality of water and if there's something too clean up
I'm extremely curious why it was trashed to begin with. Now they ruined all their pipes with the slime and dye. Hopefully it comes out OK in the future and it doesnt get trashed again.
He dyed and slimed it because the liner needed replacement. He posted a video of him doing it.
If you read the description of this video he explains why they had fun with the dye and slime 😊

You generally should replace the liner after five years tops.
The description confuses me, the first paragraph makes it sound like it was there pool but then the second paragraph says “the customer”. So they trashed somebody else’s pool? Also being a pool cleaner would they not know better? Just a thought.
I'm a carpet fitter by trade and I'm honestly shocked at how similar this looked to my work. Who ever knew that pools would also use felt underlay and spray adhesive! Well done lads nice job there.

Great job! You made a VERY difficult job look easy! I had a 16' x 36' pool for 17 years, and as much fun as my kids and our whole family enjoyed it, the pool was quite a pain in the ass at times...and expensive!! Good video!

We used portable pumps like that big one in the US Navy, they sure do move some water quickly! (It WILL become your go to, as it is just that much better)

I wish my PB would have put that felt padding down in my liner pool. Only got on the sun deck. Didn't know is was an option for the whole pool. Very cool!

I wonder what's the difference in value between having two fabric wall liners installed, how long they'll last versus having it tiled which is likely to last decades.

I love the liner pattern, but with no steps or ladder, I would never be able to climb out of that pool!
There is a ladder, but it has been removed for the cleaning, it’s the holes in the beginning

It's the cheaper/default option in contrast to concrete pools. Modern pools are generally concrete and some people will convert their vinyl pools to concrete as well
Me either, have only ever seen fibreglass pools and tiled concrete pools .... except for small above ground pools.

Yer, the holding tank gets filled up so when the liner is in place all that water can then go in the pool which will hold the liner in place and the vacuum on the side can be turned of! Otherwise we’d need to leave the vacuum on and wait for the garden hose to fill it to a certain level
wouldn't be able to trust me with the big pump, I'd be pretending I'm a fireman lol.

Old pool liners make great bases for gardens to keep out grass and weeds. Under the floor of a gazebo too.
Does it make sense to do the pool in winter rather than wait at least until spring?
Late winter/early spring is ideal but you can do everyone in that time!

The results look great! Although, seems like you would of achieved better adhesion of the felt backing if you had used a 1/8" notched trowel and a bucket glue or mastic. Also, you should of cut the joints AFTER you laid the felt, like wallpaper, that way the seams would be tight. ( also on a side note cordless shears are a huge hand saver. )

I flushed the whole system out! The inside of the pipes are just stained from the dye.
The chlorinewill bleach them out as it runs thru...just a bit of dye

How'd the slime get in the pool? Was there possibly a previous owner maybe did the slime in pool for a viral video online🤔 Tea is a good, lovely & wonderful drink for the body! Gives u lots of energy & awesome health benefits too!
No the pool guy done it after dying the pool red for Halloween because he was replacing the pool liner.
