Geat review as always. Thank you
I’ve used the VC4 for awhile and have been pleased with it. The VC4S seems like a good buy for $20
Where do you pick it up for $20?
Very through review. Thanks. I really wish you could control charge current manually.
Thanks!
Hi! How accurate is the cappacity counter?
I'm a bit new at this, I just received my VC4S, but why does one would use Grading mode? Is it to fix a battery?
Grading helps measure a batteries capacity. It doesn't fix wear
Cheers pal xx
Just got one trying to charge cr123 and its always charging at 0.5 no matter how many batteries?
Cr123s are not rechargeable generally. Do you mean an Rcr123 or 16340? Either way that sounds like a perfect speed for a smaller capacity cell.
is it safe to charge the 18650 battery at 3.0 speed? the battery feels warmer.. I just bought this charger
It depends on what the batteries data sheet says. If you have the time charging more slowly is better for the overall life of the battery.
@@LiquidRetro ok thank u so much bro for the answer👍😁
This looks good. Hmm I may go for a miboxer c4-12 though in the future
I just got this and my button to the left changes the charging speed
My buttons say current and mode instead of display and mode
I'm undecided on whether to buy Nitecore UMS4 or Xtrar VC4S... I heard that Xtar repairs batteries and nitecore doesn't.... which would be your choice of purchase and which is the best?
I have only tried the Xtar myself, I also know Xtar has some new stuff on the way. Subscribe so you won't miss it
@@LiquidRetro Yes I was wrong I meant xtar vc4sl
How do you utilize qc 3.0 with this? Do you need to buy an additional cable or adapter?
Your usb power supply will determine that
@@LiquidRetro just trying to figure out if I can use an old one plus 7 adapter I have laying around. 5v = 6a warp charge 30w
Ya unfortunately it has to have that QC3 protocol to get maximum speed on this charger. Not sure if yours does or doesn't.
@@LiquidRetro yeah it's confusing with all these protocols... It's much faster phone charger then qc3 and outputs more amperage but I'm not sure if it's backwards compatible for qc3. Ordered the charger anyway today, will soon find out. Thanks man
Good luck and enjoy!
Can i charge xtar vc4 by 18w or 20w mobile phone charger?
Yes but it's a micro USB charger and you won't see a speed benifit. The VC4L is similar and USB-C input.
@@LiquidRetro Thank you...
Xtar(VC4 vs SV2) which one is best.
I have not tested the SV2, I have an upcoming review of the VC4 Plus and so far like it quite a bit.
Xtar or vapcell better quality?
Quality wise both are very similar. Good to go with either.
Isn't 1 amp to fast charge nickel metal hydride cells ????
Na not for modern batteries
@@LiquidRetro so my Panasonic eneloop batteries are ok at 1 amp charging them ???? But will it wear out the battery quicker at 1 amp ...
@@Displays.1234. Yes, charge NIMH batteries at 0.5 amp if you want them to last. You can charge them at 1.0 amp if you are in a pinch and need them charged fast, but for them to last 0.5 is best.
NIMH, 14500, RCR123 - 0.5
18650 - 1.0
26650, 21700 - 2.0
Resistance of 15miliamps?? Thas why it really sounded like, even the subtitles said that..
Yes that's the unit of parasitic draw. It's micro though
@@LiquidRetro You mean ohms. Ω = Resistance. Otherwise, great video!
4:16 Resistance of 15 milliohms or 15 mΩ
Use a lower amperage charging brick and it will charge NiMh batteries slower
Just use a Micro USB 2.0 cord. The charge rate is cut in half...
That's expected, if your using a off spec cable or a charger that isn't qc3. There isn't a difference in the spec of cable between qc2 and qc3
@@LiquidRetro The issue is hoe to stop the high current on AA-AAA.. You can use a Micro USB 2.0 cable to prevent it. As there is no setting for it. As I'm not charging Eneloop at 1 amp. So I changed out the charging cable.
