The artisan calls himself a 'scissors factory.' But if you don't feel it, the artisan uses his bare hands for all the work. Sandpaper, welding, whetstone, heat treatment, assembly, blade and blade angle matching, hammering, polishing, etc. produce a total of 5 to 10 scissors a day thousands of times.
Currently, a total of 4-5 people make handmade scissors in Korea. However, Kim Bong-ki is the only person who can recognize and execute the entire process. The scissors factory started over the shoulder, but it has already become a pride of Korean scissors because it has been honed for a long time.
"I've been polishing myself, not scissors," says the artisan, who has been carving his name on his finished product for less than a few years. Scissors, the face of a artisan and life, and it's pride is the sum of the long-running polishing that no one can imitate.
