- As requested, this is my update dealing with pelvic organ prolapse now that I've had pelvic prolapse through three pregnancies, births, and now postpartum. Here is my updated experience dealing with prolapse where I discuss what's it's like having a stage three prolapse, dealing with three different types of pelvic prolapse, prolapse and sex, and the prolapse surgery I am getting soon to fix this.
As I mentioned in previous videos, I have been dealing with pelvic organ prolapse in pregnancy since 2018. After birthing our third child, I also developed cystocele and rectocele. If you have questions and/or suggestions, please comment down below to help other women going through a similar journey.

From the Cleveland Clinic explaining vaginal prolapse: my.clevelandclinic.org/health/...
"Vaginal prolapse is a condition where the vagina slips out of position. This is more common in women who have had multiple vaginal deliveries during childbirth, have gone through menopause, are smokers, or are overweight. The chances of developing a prolapse also increase as you age."
From Better Health regarding vaginal prolapse stages:
www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/h...
Uterine prolapse is described in stages, indicating how far it has descended. Other pelvic organs (such as the bladder or bowel) may also be prolapsed into the vagina.,. The four categories of uterine prolapse are:
Stage I - the uterus is in the upper half of the vagina
Stage II - the uterus has descended nearly to the opening of the vagina
Stage III - the uterus protrudes out of the vagina
Stage IV - the uterus is completely out of the vagina

My one year post surgery update is now : czcams.com/video/dS3J5BXSe-I/video.html
UPDATE: My surgery that was mentioned in this video was postponed another two months thanks to COVID. Ugh...BUT Sex with Prolapse part two will be live on Monday!
Hi I tried to watch this video, but it says it’s private
Hi, Have you had your surgery yet? I'm dealing with the same issues my surgery will be in the next 2 months and I'm so nervous Thank you
@@RPJ696 how did your surgery go?
Thank you so much for making this video and being so transparent. So many women are going through this, but somehow no one is talking about it!!! I can't wait to hear to rest of your healing journey!
I am posting my part two video right now (scheduled for Monday) about sex and prolapse. I was nervous posting these videos, so comments like yours are extremely helpful.
thank you so much for talking about this! I have been dealing with uterus prolapse since 2015, some days I am good and others, it is SUCH a struggle. From cramps, to heavy feeling down there, to back pain. I have had 3 babies vaginally. Doing daily activities can be so exhausting dealing with this. Girl, really...thanks for speaking on this.....This is something that should be talked about in sex ed in school, so girls will know and be aware. I never even heard of anything like this until it happened to me. Thanks for speaking on it.
I am so sorry you too are dealing with this. I mentioned in this video that my surgery would be in two weeks, but COVID delayed it another two months which is absolutely gut-wrenching to hear. Some schools cut sex ed out of the curriculum. We had one day of it when I was in school. I think each gender especially should have a week dedicated to go over topics like this. It shouldn't be a surprise as adults smh. Thank you for your comment!
Prayers for a speedy recovery!
thank you!!
So glad I found you because not too many non fibroid hysterectomy stories out there. And you have 3 children like me as well. Just came from my consultation waiting to be scheduled.
Oh I’m glad! I didn’t find any either unless it was a medical professional so I’m glad this series was helpful :)
You seem so calm talking about this. Thank you for sharing ❤
I hate feeling like I’m alone with what I’m going through, and I don’t want anyone else to feel like that. There are hardly any videos on CZcams about this from someone who isn’t in the medical field, so I felt like I had to share.
Glad you are being transparent! More people need to be open about these issues and learn about it. I worked in the specialty of Urogynecology for almost 5 years and have seen SO many women's quality of life improve drastically with their help!!!!!! Never heard of the specialty until I applied for the job but I gained a wealth of knowledge while there!
From what I have understood, majority of doctors do not refer to a urogynecologist. If it weren’t for CZcams, I would have never known. Doctors always suggest kegels or physical therapy, but never the doctor who specializes in it smh.
Using myself as an example, when I knew kegels and physical therapy were not helpful, I was told there’s nothing I could do. No referrals. I had to just deal with it.
Thank God for CZcams.
Thank you so much for making these videos, I’ve been dealing with uterus prolapse for about 3 months ana now I’m pregnant I hope that everything goes well
I’m so glad. I always second guess if I should post about this topic, so I appreciate you leaving this comment because it is very reassuring. I finally get surgery (since it was postponed) this Friday.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
I didn’t know anything about prolapse postpartum until I watched your video. Thank you for being open and honest about this topic!
Thanks for watching and supporting 🥰
Thanks for sharing. You're brave. Good luck with your surgery 🙏
Thank you for watching!
So glad I found your channel. I’m 2 Weeks post partum and I believe I have a prolapse. I’m scheduled to see my doctor tomorrow but I’ve been so depressed since I noticed it. It’s so disgusting I can’t even think about being intimate with my husband ever again. Watching you just lift my spirits up makes me feel like it’s not the end of the world.
I’m so sorry! It does get better, depending on what you decide. I went through the same for a few years 🥺
Thank you for sharing. I have definitely been feeling the same way you do that there's another enough information on this issue. I am 37 weeks pregnant. Hoping to not worsen my prolapse with this one.
Did you give birth? How are you feeling now?
Thank you so much for this video! I have a mild prolapse after my first pregnancy in June, and I hate that so many people don’t talk more about this. I hope you have a speedy recovery after your surgery & it all goes well.
Thanks for commenting! Because when I shared this years ago on Reddit, I really felt alone since no one responded. Hopefully yours does not progress beyond its current state! And if it does, you have my love and support. And thank you!
Here in the philippines we do a certain type of massage for this. It's not something that proven by science but somethings that's proven and tested through time. I have undergone this personally and it worked like magic 🥰
Wow I'm glad you could have your 3 kids before getting to this point! Happy to hear it can turn out well. I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd & only 4 weeks & it's already worse. I got it after giving birth to my second child. It is usually worse right before my period (& now while pregnant). Praying I can get through this pregnancy with a 9 month & 20 month old! 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing. I wanted 3-7 kids but I'm thankful if I can get my 3! We also are foster to adopt. Although we do not have a placement currently.
I didn’t even think how periods affect it each month, omg. Congrats on your pregnancy though!
Thanks for your positivity- I am seeing a specialist in a couple of weeks & will go from there. I am considering a hysterectomy too
Best of luck!
Thank you for sharing! I’m expecting my third and have a bladder prolapse with this one. Did you have any issues with your prolapsed organs coming out (or other problems) while in labor or the pushing stage?
I know exactly what your talking about! I have 3 as well and ohhh boy! 🤦🏻♀️
I wish they would discuss these things early on so we don’t feel so alone or embarrassed when it happens 😩 how are you doing?
Prolapse is HORRIBLE. So Emotionally devastating. My heart goes out to you. I have a stage 2 after having my 4th baby. I’m doing physical therapy and already feeling a lot better. I wish you all the best with your surgery! Make sure you do physical therapy after your surgery to get your muscles stronger and in general try to be aware of your lifestyle afterwards with how you hold your body.
Thank you so much! When I asked about it after my second child, I wish I was taken seriously then because when they told me about physical therapy, it was already too late. Or at least been warned about kegels prior to and during my first pregnancy.
I’m definitely doing whatever it necessary after surgery; because you are 100% correct: it was emotionally devastating. Aside from this surgery, I have another scheduled for the fall. A lot of repair going on 😩
@@VictoriaVaden that’s awful. Yes I never knew what prolapse was until it happened to me. Mine started with stage 1 with no symptoms after my 3rd and then after my 4th turned to stage 2 but I’m trying to stay positive and do everything in my power for healing. Praying for you 🙏 Women should be warned
@@VictoriaVaden ALSO. I can’t WAIT for your sex with prolapse video. I’m only 8 weeks postpartum right now but I need some help in that department. And nobody talks about sex with prolapse
How did everything go? I’m so glad u found this video cause I’m totally relating to this issue myself. Thank you for speaking about this.
The best decision I ever made. I was super nervous beforehand, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Hopefully, you find anything that works for you. And thanks for watching, that means a lot since this is such a personal topic.
I am officially a subscriber! Can you share what kind of prolapse you are dealing with?
Hi! I had uterine, cystocele, and rectocele.
I had a full hysterectomy a few years ago because of my prolaps womb, 2 weeks after my operation I went for my chat to the doctor he told me because of operation I now have a prolapse bladder through having the operation I am now in constant pain.,had various rings inserted at different times nothing is working I'm very disappointed with the service I am getting from the hospital and my doctor my pain never go's away, I'm not happy 😢🇬🇧
I had intestinal and cervical endometriosis. I've been through the hysterectomy part minus the prolapse. Multiple surgeries. Yes please keep those ovaries which is the partial hysterectomy. I eventually had to have the ovaries removed and it is a total nightmare with surgically induced menopause. The only way you will continue to bleed a little is if there is scar tissue in your cervical lining and they're not able to remove all of that. I hope things get better for you.
Oh my goodness, thank you for sharing! It’s interesting in my family (I mentioned this in the video, but cut it out during editing) that none of the women in my family know when menopause is…because at first, I tried to weigh my options based on that. I am nervous about surgery, but I’ll be forever grateful to have this behind me.
@@VictoriaVaden Surgery is Always scary but God will be with you. Pray and leave everything in his care. I pray that God guides the hands of the doctors, anesthesiologist, nurses and the assistents that will be handling your surgery. Normal menopause starts around 50 years of age but some women start earlier than that.
Blessed love love love beloved I recently had my first unmedicated natural birth I'm 3 weeks postpartum and I've been doing yoni steam and what we in the islands call a "lock " after birth to realign and tighten your womb while cleaning it. Surgery is a terrible new business that causes more problems. women have used herbal remedies before surgeries became a thing. I'm in botany school currently to focus on women's health postpartum in combination with the knowledge from our ancestors. Give thanks
Surgery was the best decision I could have ever made, but glad you found something that works
Did your doctor decribed to you the problems that mesh can bring? I hope everything goes right!
Surgery was amazing. I recovered in 4 weeks with no pain whatsoever. Yes, he detailed all medical risks and the likelihood of each one.
@@VictoriaVaden Hi, so happy to hear it! Wish you and your family the best 😉
Can u not just repair the muscles and push back the uterus or do u have to have hysterectomy is there any other options
Your body heals differently after each baby. For some, it can. But for mine, after my baby boy, it was completed prolapsed.
i lost my first newborn child last November. now i am 14 week pregnant and noticed uterina prolapse. i am so much depressed. please suggest me what i should do and what i shouldn”t do. and also tell me what i should strictly avoid to give birth a healthy child. please hlp me
I’m sorry for your loss, but congrats on your pregnancy! I would suggest speaking with your OB.
Hello. Has it improved for you since then?
Please give us an update
I was not planning to return to CZcams after my dad passed away, but I filmed one yesterday. It will be live tomorrow or Monday.
My update video will be live today at 2:00 pm
Did you get your surgery??? Can you do an update how have you been
My surgery was postponed another two months (literally the day of) after I posted this video. And then my dad passed away, so I took a break last year from filming. BUT, surgery was probably the best decision I ever made in my life.
@@VictoriaVaden how was recovery
It was amazing. My surgery update will be live today (with hospital and recovery footage) at 2:00 pm EST.
Wait…….your birth control fell out??
Yes, it did. But what makes it worse: I didn’t even know it was gone until that night 😂🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ my coworker found it LOL.
