  • Here is what it's like giving birth with pelvic organ prolapse...it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I was in labor for literally two weeks and I have a long recovery ahead of me. I'm sharing my labor and delivery story of our son's birth during COVID. I am sharing what it has been like with pelvic organ prolapse during pregnancy and how it ultimately caused pubic symphysis.
    I am also sharing how prolapse lead to both preterm and prodromal labor from 37 weeks pregnant until I gave birth at 39 weeks pregnant. As I mentioned in previous videos, I have been dealing with uterine prolapse in pregnancy since 2018. After birthing our third child, I also developed cystocele and rectocele. If you have questions and/or suggestions, please comment down below to help other women going through a similar journey.

    Can I ask how tall you are and what size pants you typically wear?
    Asking because I, too, just found out I have prolapse and after my 2nd delivery I experienced Diastasis Pubis Symphysis as well. It’s the version that comes postpartum vs during pregnancy 😒 Also my water never broke naturally.
    Anyway, I’m now 35 weeks w/baby #3, 3rd degree prolapse, and experiencing milks SPD and all I can think of is that I’m just really small so that’s why my body is going through all this 🤷🏽‍♀️
    I had a cesarean w/baby #1, vbac w/baby #2, and planned a c-section for this one because of the prolapse…
    Your videos have been very helpful & ur like the only person I’ve found talking about all this in detail. So your response is helpful!

      Oh wow! How are you feeling? Congrats on your pregnancy! You're almost there:) I'm pretty short, and at the time of this video, I was a size 16 which is crazy to say (type) because I struggled my entire life to gain weight to graduate from a size 0. After working out for the past 6 months like I have, I'm back down to a “normal size” for my height/weight of 7, or 9 depending on the brand.

    Congratulations my second one is 7 weeks. Did you upgrade your car for a 3rd row or are you currently using the same one?

    • @VictoriaVaden
      @VictoriaVaden  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! Initially we were going to wait a few months, but we had to upgrade sooner. We bought a Kia Carnival (three rows) a few weeks before Noah was born. It has been amazing with doors that open themselves, omg.

      @@VictoriaVaden That’s awesome! The new Kia’s are nice! We want more kids eventually. I just need to convince my hubby.

    Did you have to advocate during prenatal appointments to have a vaginal birth? I’m 30 weeks with my 3rd and every doc I see is suggesting a c-section because of my rectocele prolapse…but I definitely don’t want one if I can avoid it, because it doesn’t mean it will actually help or avoid anything.

    • @VictoriaVaden
      @VictoriaVaden  Před rokem +1

      No I didn’t. I told them each time how I wanted to give birth. C-section was never brought up in any of my appointments, but I have always had very fast births so that may have been a factor. How were your other births?

    Hello. I am 36 weeks pregnant just recently found out that I had a pelvic prolapse. I am currently experiencing some mild cramps and alot of pressure. I made the mistake of googling birth with a prolapse and maternal death. I'm just really scared as I already have 2 other kiddos as well. I had told my midwife about the prolapse n she kind of blew me off do you have any advice about birthing with a prolapse.

    • @VictoriaVaden
      @VictoriaVaden  Před rokem +5

      I'm so sorry. The doctors at my hospital brushed it off as "it'/s normal" even though no one discusses it. Honestly, the best advice I could give (NOT as a medical professional) is to keep mentioning it in every appointment to share your concern, and when you give birth...listen to your body. I let my body take over in the sense that I didn't push or anything. I just let my baby ease his way out. The instant relief and satisfaction I felt in my body was a feeling of gratitude that I have never experienced before...but it was the best thing I could do especially with a prolapse, because I was scared that I would push out other organs. Prayer helped a lot, too lol.

    Is it a risk to give birth with prolapse?

    • @VictoriaVaden
      @VictoriaVaden  Před 2 lety +2

      Depending on the severity of the prolapse (stage 4, I’m thinking). I’m at Stage 3 and gave birth twice. This birth, as I mentioned, caused a lot of issues, but my baby nor I were at risk. I’m not sure what it’s like at Stage 4.

    Do organs just fall out when you have a vaginal birth?

    • @VictoriaVaden
      @VictoriaVaden  Před 2 lety +2

      No, it depends on your recovery, but it happens with vaginal births. I didn’t heal properly after my first birth because the stitches came out.
