    nie wiem czy pisałem to tu czy na jakimś innym kanale, ale Bajm pod wpływem Solidarności a następnie stanu wojennego kompletnie zmieniło repertuar i z grzecznych turystyczno-harcerskich piosenek jak 'Piechotą do lata' (1978) wyewoluowali w stronę drapieżnego rocka z doskonałym wyczuciem nastrojów społecznych. 'Józek, nie daruję ci tej nocy' też odnosi się do stanu wojennego. w tym, że cenzura w 1982 przepuściła zawoalowaną satyrę nie ma niczego niezwykłego. 'Alternatywy 4', a więc najbardziej sarkastyczną satyrę na komunizm, donosy, podsłuchy, kolejki, czytanie korespondencji z zagranicy, niewydolność systemu, orwellowskie dwójmyślenie (scena z Winnickim po wywiadzie dla tv) i ogólne zniewolenie, kręcono podczas stanu wojennego. album "Dorosłe dzieci" Turbo zawierający najbardziej znany protestsong, właściwie zachęcający do rewolucji, wydano w 1983.

    We have a desert in Poland indeed. Its name is Pustynia Błędowska. There is also national park there. I think most of songs in 80's was political, but smartly hidden. Only really intelligent people could have been text authors at that time.

    • @AlmostDon
      @AlmostDon  Před 3 lety +3

      That was my feeling with the three songs, although I wasn't completely sure. I'll have to go visit that desert! 😊

    In Polish you can form several level of diminuitives and the opposite (augmentatives?) from each noun. "Piasek" is the neutral version, "piach" is augumentive (implies something is bigger/older/less pleasant). Diminuitive would be "piaseczek" and would imply you like it.

    I could watch you smiling and jiving to the music in every video. My answer to 90% of polish word question is the answer, polska gramatyka. Love it! Subsciber for life.

    Very well done review and reaction. Im astonished how far did you dig to gather all the info about the songs. Hope you will make some more reviews/reactions like this in the future.

      Thank you! I will try to analyse music from different vocalists / decades and find as much as I can. Already recording the following two.

    piasek is sand, the one on the beach, the one kids play in, the one with this good feeling
    piach is that dirty, rough sand, the one you don't play but work with, one with neutral or negative feeling, it's even used with connotation like "ending up in a grave" - "trafić do piachu"

    • @AlmostDon
      @AlmostDon  Před 3 lety +2

      Oh, thank you for clearing up the doubt 🤭, they told me piach is a not nice way to call the sand.

    The difference between Piach and Piasek is that there's no singer called Piach ;)

    "Nie ma wody na pustyni" definetely have political context.

      I thought of that, although I wasn't sure and I didn't want to overreact as much, 😆

    The difference between "piach" and "piasek" is your attitude to it. Piasek is the kind of sand that you like, and piach is the sand you don't like. It can be one and the same. I.e. there's a beach with nice "piasek" so you want to stay and sunbathe, but after some hours you want to go home because the "piach" is everywhere, it got into your cloths and wallet, and you can feel it in your mouth. Yuck!
    There are several deserts in Poland. The Błędowska Desert is in Silesia. Another cool one are the dunes in the Słowiński National Park on the seaside.

      @AlmostDon  Před 2 lety +1

      I didn't know about this second desert! 🤩. So you can say, achh! Piach!

    Woooow, I am impressed by how interestingly you have presented this! I think it would be great to make a similar video with other popular in the 90's bands O.N.A. and Hey (I saw on another video that you were interested in :)) - both bands had great songs in terms of lyrics and vocal voices

    • @AlmostDon
      @AlmostDon  Před 3 lety

      That would be cool! I am looking forward to making the "Hej" video soon. They really left a great impression on me.
