I met Keanu about 16 years ago at the premier of the Matrix movie in NYC. I worked at the movie theater as a cleaner and server. The entire night, I saw all the stars in the movie come and go without any of them looking at me or saying hello to me, perhaps because of my color and the cheap uniform I had on. For 16 years, I have never forgotten the event that will follow the first few hours after I begun my shift at work that evening. Keanu walked up to me and asked me how I was doing!! I said to myself "are you really talking to me?" Believe it or not, he actually came up to me and showed compassion and care. That was the last thing I ever expected anyone to do that evening. He proceed to ask me about my job and where I come from. And I told him I was from Ghana and have been working at the theater for about a year. He chatted with me for about 5 mins but it felt like forever. He then gave me a hug I will never forget. He is truly a good human being. I don't usually leave comments on YT but this is to confirm this video. Keanu is good.
This is such a beautiful story. The proof how a little bit of kindness can change someone's life. We should all thrive to be more like Keanu. I hope you're doing well ❤

I had the pleasure of meeting him once, and he was absolutely a humble, kind and generous man. I was exiting the freeway in Los Angeles, and his motorcycle was broke down. My co worker and recognized him and pulled over to see if he needed assistance, but he graciously smiled and said he was already waiting for a tow. It was a hot day, and we offered him water, which he declined, because he head one already. But he was kind enough to take the time to talk with me, shake my hand, and get a few pictures together. It made me a bigger fan than I already was.

I so admire him, every time I see his presence, I start tearing up. It’s just because I’m happy to see him being humble and generous and it’s from his true heart.

I can't believe I am saying this publicly but this actually made me cry. I wish I had the opportunity to help with his charity/venture helping children and those in need. Several years ago for a period of about 3-5 years I would visit, make food for, get things for his dog and clothes and other things for him, this homeless man named Jim and made sure to be there for him in whatever ways I could until he died of cancer one day.He would come and go and I would worry if he was okay and then he would show up weeks or months later. the last time I saw him he gave me a tiny bag with his most personal stuff and told me to have it and not forget him as he knew he was dying. I begged to get him help but he refused and when I went back to where he was he was gone. I never saw him again . I was going to take his dog " babe " for him but sadly he took her with him to Heaven. His family were rich millionaires who turned their backs on him and he admitted it was his fault as he was once a successful man who became an alcoholic and ruined his life but prayed for forgiveness from his family for years and never once asked to be given his life back,only forgiveness which they didn't do. I called the brother and he said, my brother has been dead to me for years, F him ' and hung up I have always reached out quietly to so many people in need because I had times in my life as well where I wish someone was there but never came. peace.
So sad. Maybe there's more to his estrangement from his family than just being an alcoholic. It was his life to mess up. Poor man. Thank you for helping him.

Oh yeah, and one of Keanu Reeves best Friends was River Pheonix, who died way too early in 93. Keanu suffered for years because of that. THAT is a tragic backstory.

I worked as an extra in Chicago where they filmed Chain Reaction. Keanu hung out with us on lunch breaks, signed autographs and shared stories. He’s such a gentle soul. It was a blessing to be in his presence. Hats off my friend 💝
