I can say i recently had lipo under local anesthesia and it was fine. The drugs they gave me beforehand worked great because I don’t even remember getting started. I actually remember laughing and saying it tickled. I asked my dr when she called to check on me and she confirmed I laughed a lot when she was on my right side. I’ve actually felt more at the dentist. Don’t waste your time on cool sculpting if you have a significant amount of fat. I had it done on my chin and looked exactly the same.

19:00: you’ll gain fat in “other areas”. I saw an old lady one time who I could tell previously lipo’d her inner thighs but had since let her body go. She was big and her legs looked totally botched. They were so fat and then her inner thighs were aggressively pulled in. It looked bad. Doc is right maintain your weight and live healthy afterwards.

She may have had lipedema. These patients don’t do well with certain types of lipo - and often have terrible results following lipo- even if they maintain a stable weight.

Very informative video. Does the Elite Air Sculpt procedure prove just as effective as traditional tumescent liposuction? I’ve watched videos of them using a 2 or 3 mm cannula using air suction under local anesthesia and the patient seemed to be fine with no pain.
your results will mostly depend on surgeon's experience and ability. The type of liposuction doesn't affect it that much

In The Netherlands liposuction under local anesthetic is very, very common. Had it myself this week, due to lipedema. The anestatic is a little painful, the fluid build up is uncomfortable, but very doable! Now I am on paracetamol. Feeling alright! But, it is also very common to give birth without painkillers. Maybe it is in our cheese...

I haven’t ever had lipo but I’m getting it and a tummy tuck. I see the comments asking why they’re itching it made me smile 😂 Think of all the nerves you have under your skin lol of course it itches. The nerves are healing and it takes a while. I’m a year out from my c section and it’s still itchy occasionally. It’s an annoyance but it’s not so bad and over time it decreases. Just try not to scratch yall 😂
Why would you do tummy with a knife, when you can do thermage or j-plasma? Less cutting sharp objects in the body.
i think cool sculpting is a waste of money and if your skin is sensitive it can get burned by the cold
@@misamisa2677 there's more and more reports of cell death after getting cool sculpting. I had actually intended on getting cool sculpting done, and then I'd started hearing about some the things that happened. And I immediately noped my way outta that idea.
When i got my nexplanon implant, the doctor shot straight with me, she told me it's still considered experimental and that my experience is going to differ depending on how my body reacts to the inplant.
I still got the implant. My hair has thinned out, and ive gained a TON of weight, and of course my depression has hit rock solid fucking bottom. I havent gotten pregnant, so theres that. The implant is about to expire, and i wont be getting it replaced.
My health has gotten so horrible ever since i got the damn thing put in my arm. I cant run anymore, i can't breath, my organs hurt, every little exercise is 6 times harder than it use to be, and all this weight just bogs down my confidence even more. Im highly considering lipo. I havent decided if i will get it done before or after my diet and habbit reform. (I'm leaning towards after.) But either way. I HAVE to make a big change. Im suffocating in my own skin.
So liposuction shouldn’t be used for weight reduction, but sculpting. Good information to know. I haven’t even considered that as a use case. Thanks for the good info.

I had lipo inner and outer thigh, flanks, hips. I was black and blue from the knees up. It was so painful. Flanks looked good, but hips looked bumpy , surgeon said i he can’t go too far up near the diaphragm so now I have a lean lower tummy and not so lean upper. Would like under chin/ jaw refinement . In the UK they can only do max 4l.
Yeah you need a tummy tuck to get rid of fat on the upper abdomen… they stretch the skin down and it makes the fat go away

finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.).
You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.
i had local just one day ago and i'm good i had a full tummy tuck and lipo front and back with skin removal with my thighs done als and i'm so happy i did it. You have to have a high pain tollerence. October 22nd 2020.
local anesthesia can be used for a smaller area. But in case of larger area, general anesthesia is a better option.

I know this is a niche topic but could you do a video on cosmetic surgery when you have a collagen disease (like Ehler's Danlos Syndrome).

in most cases, calves liposuction is possible but that area can be tricky for liposuction.
What tool do you use to tighten the skin doc ? Is it effective like bodytite. One thing that holding me off from having lipo is the loose skin post surgery
liposuction is a great option for removal of fat tissue, but it won't tighten the loose skin. In case of loose skin, skin removal surgery might be required for best results.

if you have a lot of loose skin, then tummy tuck is probably your only option to get good results. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Dr. What are your thoughts about the evamatic 5. 10 years ago I got a laser lipo in my abdomen done and I ended up with fibrosis and no symmetry at all. Is it possible to have an external burn/reaction on inner thighs?
I’m curious about the irregularity I have just a few weeks into healing on stomach lipo if that is common and smooths out, how you feel about using fascia rollers or cupping to massage at this point along with compression garments... my surgeon is quite experienced, so I’m not concerned about that, but more what can I do to improve irregularities while I heal??
At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.

I did lazor lipo I was 255 it does help retrack the skin no tummy tuck needed for me my skin is all picked up in the healing process I had 5ml removed from full abdomen. I'm in 😍love... and I was awake the whole time. I did agree with what you said about the experience but my doctor was very good... she worked with Me and talked me through it.

I just had abdomen lipo 5 days ago under local, maybe because i had a tummy tuck and lipo 7 months ago and i was still a little numb in the abdomen. My tummy wasn't looking good so the surgeon did lipo as a second time. Hopefully it turns out better.
