Too many of us confuse Infatuation with Love because of these damn Hollywood films. We’ll even disregard someone’s disinterest in us because of our own obsession, and unconsciously cross the line into stalking! If someone feels unattainable thats because they are, let them be.
Yeah maybe..... to a degree, but I still believe there can be great examples of love in good novels or movies.
Aren't most things in life, not just relationships. Most people like the idea of being rich (infatuation). But they don't want the responsibilities that come with being rich (true love). The difference is just how much you are willing to sacrifice for that thing you want. The more you are willing to sacrifice, the more you are in "love" with that thing

you're damn right! some teenage girls get to be hopeless romantics due to movies that depicts love and relationship, BUT THEY ONLY SHOW A PART OF HOW RELATIONSHIP WORKS. i learned the hard way, till I found a mature partner who taught me how real relationship works. Istg i was toxic but now our long term relationship sometimes is boring. BUT THAT'S OKAY, boring is fine with your person ❤

If you truly love someone, you will understand that they are on their own path the same way you are on your own path. You won't feel a need to control what they do or see them as a possession. You're both together to respect, support and learn from eachother. And to accept that learning also happens separately sometimes. You need to give eachother your own space sometimes just to process your own emotions, thoughts and to renew the love you have for yourself. 2 people who love themselves first bring so much more love into a relationship because they aren't bringing insecurities on to the other partner.

Thats because the majority(not all) of stalkers are *men* who are stalking an ex. Stalkers ignore the signals that the person is (no longer) interested and double down on their own desires/anxieties. They perceive it as love while the other feels creeped out… No one should behave like this.

Not entirely true. Preoccupation could be the result of a dopamine drive similar to an addict chasing the next high. Or that toxic preoccupation could be the lack of awareness regarding impulse control in the frontal lobe and the unhealthy need to be wanted. Khan's simplistic synopsis does not take into account the complexities of the human personality.

It’s in my nature to have all 3 types of empathy. Why people have an attraction for for toxic people; - I have no clue. But I can’t relate. If I can sense that your toxic, I’m running as far away as possible.

I heard his voice over the phone on my way to personal training, he was my new trainer. That’s when I was hooked. My mind was obsessed but I never encouraged anything. A year goes by, then we make a deal that I will clean his house for training. Big mistake. We spent a lot of time together then. I would end up sleeping in the spare room so much that I eventually moved in. A few months go by, and I’ve somehow become his girlfriend. I never told him how obsessed my mind was over him. I played it off well, mostly because I thought ‘nahh, he wouldn’t go for me anyways’ But I straight up manifested it even though I wasn’t even trying.
A year later, he put me in the icu. Listen to those signals kids.

Well I don’t know if there is such a thing as true love since love is always transactional on some level. Even if they loved you for who you “are” that’s still transactional because if you changed they might not like the new you and leave.
