I would say this move is 20% success rate in online lobbies.
True, most players get annoyed you tricked them and cut the line off under braking, but I’ve just got good enough at anticipating if they’re about to do that and I kinda let off a bit and let them cut so their rear hits my nose and then back on power lol. That’s what you get for not leaving space.

I've seen someone try doing this, and they braked at the same time as turning sharply to the inside. Needless to say, he sent himself to the shadow realm.

Looks good but only works against clean and fair racers. Most racers online are not. So they will take you out as soon as you get in front of them.

Yeah, iracing and acc with communities like LFM are not the same as GT7 and FM1 where everyone is trying to outdo each other on levels of stupidity. Here people actually have respect and drive cleanly...... for the most part

He didnt really defend did he? If he brakes a bit later he can just stick it on the outside
The timing was bad for him, the guy swerved to the inside as he began braking so there was no point defending it anymore, also its better to not defend that corner anyway and just wait for the next straight since straight after going around the outside you will have the outside line of the next corner too which is going to lose you the position
Bro this is easily defendable arpund the outside because of the way the corner goes, just stick it round the outside it will give you the inside on the next corner and the best run for the corner after that.
Not easily, I’d say most players don’t have the skill, but yeah, I don’t even bother doing defensive at this corner
The last line is so important. A ton of people love to try this, or divebomb, or whatever move they want to pass, but then they hit the other car, and get pissy.
If you are defending the inside car should fully take inside line, then draw back to the racing line to defend this overtake.
And if the overtaking car gets the outside and stays outside, move as far out to cover the racing line from the inside.
Always take the racing line whenever possible... it's typically fastest
Pulled this off once, oddly enough in the same car and series, feels so good when you can pull it off smoothly.

Facts! Either cover inside or outside, never take the middle line... you'll get passed 100% of the time

Great move but what a terrible defensive line, park it on the curb
Then you take the full outside line, faster at the apex, and ahead into the second part of the chicane.
he can readjust his braking to miss his apex on purpose, but stay alongside, on the next left he has the inside and since you're trajectory is gonna send you into that left apex hard you'll need to brake longer for the left. not insanely difficult to defend.
Def gotta be aware of the spacing and the turns when doing this move

Amount of people who allow this is CRAZY. You just need to make sure you can outbrake them.

Its amazing how many sim "racers" think any overtake is a dive bomb lol. Its racing and they don't seem to understand that.
literally NOBODY would claim that divebomb. divebomb is when you don’t brake till the very last moment abusing opponents awareness and healthy distancing pushing them away, taking over their position

By the rules of the game, that is his responsibility to be aware and his fault if he turns in - however that doesn't help you if you get crashed out or damaged, that's the risk in doing this, you can't point to the rulebook and go again. Make sure your opponent is a strong racer.

That's just theory. The reality is that the guy being outside can start braking a bit later. In that case you won't get even with him. Also in your example how in the hell you were able to back off and suddenly be faster than the oponent. That's just BS for the sake of this clip

Really easy when you can outbrake them by a mile and still make the corner with plenty of space. You could have passed him on the left too with that braking advantage.
More importantly, he could have easily kept the position if he braked similarly to you.
The left side into Les Combes is actually very competitive. If you enter the corner ahead on the left, you usually hold the position.
But this is nothing new for these videos. The car defending never is actually driving nearly as well as you. Pretty easy to make any move you want when that's the case.
Also, no human actually trying to hold the position would swing way to the left once you're along side like that. So this is either a very passive human opponent, or AI.

Not dirty, smart. Alot of people forget to be a great racer you cant just go fast and hit the apexs perfect. You also need to play chess with your opponents and outsmart the competition.

I like staying predictable, you can only really do this if the driver is very good.
Other wise, a crash will happen.
