Some of my Food Plugs in Lagos. Where I buy Seafood, Whole Sale Shopping, some of my favourite supermarkets and more! Can we talk about the elephant in the room? That is the HIGH COST OF FOOD! I don't know how we will combat Food Inflation in Nigeria, but I'm hoping you are doing okay.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Oh My Gosh!!! Somebody take me to that's seafood market ASAP. Sisi ooo, you're bargaining like a rich woman 🤣🤣🤣. You tried though. But practice more.
This is how my grandma taught me:
When a seller says an item is say 100, divide that by 2, that's 50 then add like 10 and begin bargaining from 60. Always bargain with a smile and be jovial with the seller. Increase your amount little by little and even pretend to walk away. Usually you can get that 100 naira item for 70, or 75 .
Also my Dad taught me this one: , if you're buying a lot of items from the same seller, just ignore the individual prices they tell you. Just gather all your items and offer the seller a wholesale price. They usually accept because you're buying a lot at the same time. I saw my dad pay about 50% below market rate in some London tourists market and I always use this especially at tourist markets because everything there is 1000% overpriced. Its also worked for me in Aba markets.
Good luck. I enjoyed watching you as usual.
Why are market vlogs so addictive? It’s therapeutic af!!
Very!
Especially if you’re in the diaspora, very nostalgic.
You are a very respectful and kind lady. I’m amazed at the way you say thank you to everyone. As for bargaining, don’t let people make you feel bad. Just take it as if you are tipping them. God will continue to replenish your pocket…these market vlogs make me miss home sooo much, thanks for sharing.
God bless the farmers and market workers 🙏🏽❤️
You can use it to make pumpkin soup. You need: olive oil, small onion, chopped .
Butternut pumpkin, peeled, de-seeded and roughly cubed.
Small red capsicum, de-seeded and diced
A few springs of thyme and parsley.
Vegetable stock
Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
You can add meat , fish any choice you like
Directions
Heat the 2tbs of olive oil in a large pan, add onion, pumpkin, red capsicum and herbs , cover and cook for 10minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the stock, then bring to the boil, lower the heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes until tender.
Cool slightly, remove the herbs and then purée in a food processor or with a hand blender. Season well, re- heat add meat of your choice and serve.
Sisi yemmie buys with her eyes, once she sees it, she wants it. And she is the type of buyer that sellers like, the seller suggests a product to the buyer and buyer says bring it. These buyers contribute to the economy very well
Your bargain at the sea food/fruitmarket(Vi) no be am😅infact you didn’t bargain at all..But you did good with the pepper(epe market). It’s asif you always pity them so you try not to slash the price too much.😅I like the fact that you say “thank you” at the end of every bargain. To be honest bargaining can be stressful especially when you’re all sweaty and uncomfortable.
You just spoke my mind so no need retyping...lol
@@ayodejiodunsi8617 same here
Nigeria local buying and selling, that jara must be there all the time😀😀😀I miss Naija sha
It’s the way you say ‘ you like money too much’ for mee😂😂… Video was satisfying to watch😍
Sisi yemmie, those seeds aren’t coriander. They’re fennel seeds. They have a liquorice like flavour much like aniseed!
Wow im so amazed by the mildred angels store, its like a mini sams club or costco. I would love to go there.
There’s something about Sisyemis market vlogs 😍 very satisfying 🙏🏾😇 Blessings
I really enjoyed this video.
Spring onion, Irish potato and other veggies are quite expensive in Lagos, If you don't mind I can be sending them to you in Lagos from Plateau , they are very cheap here.
I am interested in this.
Can I get your contact please?
I wish i could get sea food like this here
Looks so nice
When I heard you price that potato N1600 and say “do me customer naauuu”, I smiled and thought ‘that’s my girl!’ 😂😂😂😂😂❤️
Next time when they tell you price divid it by 2 if it is 2000 you will start with 1000 the next you will hear is no I can sell for 1000 they will give another price 1800 you will tell they 1200.This remind me of when I used to help my grandmother to sell truck of tomatoes in basket. Old memories
Typical Nigeria price divid method 🙄 🤣
You sabi well my dear.
Wow, thanks...
Abi from 2k to 800 sef😅 Laslas we go drag am reach 1100
I so enjoyed this market vlog, got to see the seafood sellers after years.
When I was in Nigeria, I used Butternut squash a lot mostly roasting in the oven and adding to salads
Try shopping in Jos, compared to this , you would think everything is at a giveaway price😂. But location is another thing to consider.
Sis Yemi , you’re not even bargerning with u just buy without prise
The market looks clean imo compared to other markets
I love the way you price foodstuffs 💪👍🏾😁

Wow i love all the sea food i saw there in the market lovely.Nice video
You did really well. I like the way you approach the traders. Stay blessed
I enjoy sisi yummie market shopping vlog.
Sisiyemmie you've really learnt to haggle prices o...The cost of food in Nigeria leaves one with no choice. Those seeds you held in a small plate are so good for seasoning beef and making jollof rice, they have this mintlike flavor. That local food market you went to is my plug for buying pepper and tomatoes, I wonder why I didn't go there when you were going o so I can meet you. Anyway it's too far off and the roads are tighter due to construction. I found a new market closer where they sell pepper, tomatoes, yam etc at cheaper rates. It's after Bogije just before Beachwood estate. Try it the next time you want to buy foodstuff for less.
I love love creamy squash soup. So delicious 😋. Sisiyemmie you need to try it
Wow! Nice shopping vlog.
That made my day sister Yemisi
Love this video.
Love This video 😀
I enjoy the market your quite enlightening ….. thanks to sisi yemmie

This was a beautiful and entertaining shopping👌👍👍
Thats fennel seeds hun. has a strong fragrant and has a minty, liquorish taste. I love cooking with it. Apparently chewing it helps clear mouth odour to. coriander seeds are round and brownish ::)
So refreshing to see this fresh vegetables and fruits
Oh i like these type of video thanks for sharing
I always enjoy seeing the various beautiful vegetables. I love the market. Those yellow pumpkins look like they will be sweet in soup, next to fish, or cooked in rice(I already do that with squash. Thanks sis. Yemisi. God bless.
I luv your cooking good content sisi

In the North pumpkin is used for a very delicious hausa soup called miyan taushe.
Yes there is popular hausa mia ( soup) that it's eaten with masa. It's cooked with pumpkin puree and spinach
Market vlogs are my best
The ingredients section caught my attention very presentable greeting from Asia

The way Sisi Yemi says you too like money cracks me up every time 🤣🤣🤣
I love watching your vlogs ha! Has for me you tried bargaining but you will improve at it has times goes by things generally expensive.. God bless you
That market had the freshest produce. We don't have a lot of those markets here, but I'm addicted to these videos 😊
Sisi yemmie's market vlogs gets me all the time.
Honestly, you made me proud with your bargaining at the Epe market, i was shocked to see such fresh produce sold so cheaply. I told myself" if i move to Lagos, I'd be visiting this market regularly" , the basket of tomatoes you got for #900 would be gotten at #2000 or more here in portharcourt.
As for the seafood market, well your bargaining was not so great.
I look forward to see what you'll be using the parsley, squash and pumpkin to prepare.
'you like money too much' ...😂😂. Sisi yemmie, great stuff from you! I miss organic food. The items look so fresh and inviting!
Thanks a lot for this video. I loovvve market runs in nigeria and I miss it so much. The seafood market got me wishing I there was one here in the UK. I applaud your strength to go to different markets in one day. How did you manage traffic? Also I wish you could say the prices of the brioche bread and big jar of M&M?
Sisi your market vlog was great, just that, that pepper price was too high but the rest was cool, well done.
Oh about that pumpkin, we have that in our farm at home here but ours is usually green. I love the Igbo name. Sounds funny to me everytime.
It's amazing how my mum makes use of the leaves as well for porridge
The igbo name is anyu right? 🤣
Is good you are greatful to God. I love your market vlog o
I get fresh, parsley, celery and other herbs and root vegetables here too.
This was really interesting to watch🥰 sisi yemmie can you please make a video on how you store peppers and tomatoes you bought in large quantities 🙏🙏
I use the pamkin to thicken soups so good
Yes I wish I can go to that market
I'm a new subscriber to your channel, and I love your shopping skills, they're so amazing! Please ma, kindly drop the name and location of the foreign supermarket you visited last in this vlog, thanks.
Same with the butternut squash too even for stews
The veggie prices are super good and cheap,I wish there's one of such in Ilorin

What is the name of that supermarket at Ikota shopping mall where you buy wholesale.
Very good video. I always enjoy watching them all. Well done, thank you always and God bless.
What a beautiful, colorful and exotic market place! It's just stunning Sisi Yemmie.
