    Oh lovely memories I had growing up there. That is the market I grew up buying from I grew up in Ebutte meta ha the only market where I know I can get any and everything! But one tip is don't speak grammar and don't dress lavishly then go very early especially on Saturdays. Thank you sisi yemmie for sharing this video

    Wow sisi thanks for taking us there.. i remember my child good stage my mum would always take me there... we normally buy a lot that would last us for a while..... even last week my sis put to bed my mum still visits the market for her omugwu shopping for my sis. Wow what a memory to remember.

    This so much reminds me of my childhood in my birth country and when I visited the markets in Jamaica West Indies, even with the sudden rain.     Hand peeled Egusi seeds are clean without dirt and the machine peeled egusi contains dirt that you need to pick out before blending.

    It is worth it cause as you said bulk shopping. So it's a place you go once or twice a month after all people be going to events and stuff hours away every weekend.

    Sisi,I have been to this oyingbo market before when I came to Nigeria(2016/2017). One thing I like about this market is the varieties of dry fish they have here.This Market is a place to be.

    I always go to Oyingbo market whenever I wan to cook bulk soups especially Afang and vegetable soups
    As for the yellow pepper I usually buy 1painter … I steam first before blending and storing in the freezer so that it won’t change color while in the freezer
    Oyingbo is good for soup ingredients and crayfish and stock fish in bulk

    This kind of market looks very good. Everything can be found over there. But my problem with that is the hygiene. And there is no expiry date on stuff sold in this type of market.

    I'm actually surprised,as a lagosian,you don't know oyinbo market.Between yaba and straight down from ojuelegba,surulere..lt's probably the only market and balogun market that l remember in Nigeria. Well,l still remember sabon gari market in kano faintly.The rain is part of what happens living in coastal cities,if you were in the middlebelt the rain gives you a weeks warning at least. ⚠️ 🤣😂 Next time get the grapefruits as well,very good for weight loss,for the guts and new mothers.lf nigerians know the health benefit of all this food,some of us probably won't japa.Thank you.

    Oyingbo market is the number one fish market in Lagos. If you want to save money just go there before 6:30am. I tell you with 30k you will buy a truck load. I will be visiting the market before Christmas. I wish I can take you guys along.

    Any time I enter Nigeria the next early morning (05:00) am in Oyingbo market to buy everything that we will use during our stay in bulk.
    Going very early is Better and quicker

    I prefer the light akpon. It has a much cleaner look than the dark one and to me, the flavor seems lighter too. Have you ever tried Ijebu garri eba? That “kan” taste makes a difference and makes the food even more delicious. To me oh!
    Sisi Yemmie, considering you’re a foodie and someone who does a lot of cooking vlogs, I’m surprised you’re not familiar with Oyingbo market. Lots of people from abroad sef go there to buy their stash for traveling with. Yeah since you now have a studio you should consider getting stuff from there. I think once in three months is reasonable. Just stock up with enough to last that long.

      Explore the market more next time. For dry fish and stockfish you'd have to walk out of that big building. The main market is not in that mighty building you're seeing. It's in the adjoining streets.

    ahahaha, Sisi, lemon 3 #500 for shoprite? which shoprite oo? the one close to be 1 sel na #375. I really missed that market, I go there when I was in Surulere, I spend 5k and go home with a lot of things then, well that was over 6 years ago. Going there from Lekki side is a whole lot of stress for me. Time, energy, traffic. Yes, once in 3 months is okay.
