I am very worried about the amount of single use plastics in our food packaging. We owe ourselves a duty to protect our environment. The government and civil society need to be actively militant and proactive about this. We don't have another country.

Your observation on the different branches of shoprite and the quality and types of products stocked is so apt! I still had the issue last week at their ICM branch, I was quite disappointed with their selection! I also bought their food for myself and family and we purged for three days! Even my nephew and neice; it was super scary! Never been so dissatisfied with their service!

I hardly go to shoprite, but there are some things I love from shoprite... that their corn ehn, so sweeeeet, I can go to shoprite for just corn😀😀
Fruits like apple, banana, I buy from mallams, but strawberries, blueberries, grapes, i buy from spar or shoprite!
So in my house, I take bournvita, Hubby takes ovaltine and my daughter takes milo, how stressful is that?🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
That loaf of bread from cactus is looong😀

It is convenient shopping at the supermarket and they know it hence the expensive prices prob equivalent to our London prices which are daylight robbery . I like to buy my herbs in the market parsley coriander mint, i use my oven or if one has a food dehydrator, i use them to dry them out then store them in an air tight container in the freezer. Happy new year to you and yours and Ouch! to your shopping bill.

Nice vlog sisi yemmie .Very expensive truly!
Plus I think most Nigerians need to learn to check their receipts after every purchase at malls and retail outlets.
Last December at shoprite at sango tedo Lagos I had a terrible experience , after picking things from the shelf ,noticed the prices on the shelf was different at the counter, so he requested for a guy to bring him a barcode tag. the guy legit increased my bill by 5,000 naira . And all this was after I told him to remove the items. He removed them. I suspected something was off after I paid him. I stayed at a corner near him and recalculated. 5k added to my bill!!! Celery and brocolli were the items that he removed oo but he never cancelled instead he increased my bill. Long story short, after raising alarm and a little drama, the supervisor had to come and ask me to fill a refund form and they returned my money.
Was shaken the whole day from that experience.
But thanks for your recipes. Hopefully I will have to stick to buying things from local markets instead. 💁‍♀️
