    Thank You So Much for this video. I purchased a Flash Logic Module for my Prestige Car Alarm after having no success with the DEI ( DBALL) version. I was still confused however on what firmware to flash to the module. Your video clarified this greatly , where the instructions included with the module left me scratching my head.

    Awesome video! I am stuck in the middle of a remote start install, audiobox Prestige 997E and I have everything wired in and working in my Cadillac except the door locks. I can't get them to actuate for anything! Whether I mimic the key turning the key tumbler in the driver's door or go into the trunk and bypass/try to trick the lock and unlock relays nothing works. I finally said screw it the 2009 Cadillac must use JFM to sense when the door locks should be activated and that I needed a different bypass module that would allow my bypass module to talk with the vehicles computers. I was about to buy a Fortin evo all but watching your video taught me that my audiovox Prestige probably wouldn't have worked with the fortin bypass module any better than the directechs module I currently have and I'd be right back where I am right now in a week or so. I'll be buying an flcan and a USB adapter for programming and will be done with it for less than 80 bucks. Not going to lie at the end of this video when you showed an flcan hooked up to a prestige remote start I said out loud "son of a bitch". Lol. Cheers mate and great video. You just saved me time and money.

    If I have an existing bypass module installed to my car, is that works for any brand of remote starter fab? If it does so i am going to program my remote starter fab to it?

    Man, this is the best explanation of different protocols/manufacturers/their trademarks I have ever found on the Internet! Thanks a lot!
    1 Question: Are FLCART & BLADE AL bypasses compatible between each other? And can I use Weblink to program them both?
    Thanks, Pavel

    When using these bypass modules for remote start systems, do they also happen to disarm a factory alarm system that prevents a car from starting when it’s armed? Or is that a separate module? I’m considering a remote start for my vehicle and the instruction manual says not to start the car when the alarm system is armed. Not sure if it’s one of those systems that do that and I haven’t tried it out.

    Again another great video from dial2fast. I bought the idatalink ALCA bypass module to go with my Audiovox Prestige remote starter APS901E. All I want the starter to do is start the car, so that I can get it warmed up in the winter and cooled down in the summer. I do NOT want it to do anything else, therefore is it necessary for all those wires you showed on the module to be connected up ? Thanks

    Still a little perplexed about this. I was able to get my 04 Tahoe covered with the right stuff but I have several people that now want me to install remote starts in their Honda CR-V's 2009, 2015 abd 2018 plus a 2012 Toyota Highlander.
    I bought the Fortin flash cable as they allow me to flash from my home computer even though I'm not a "Dealer". Think about how many lost sales one brand vs another has because they want to limit the flashing of their units. You don't let me program I'll just go elsewhere and give them my business.
    I want to know more about this D2D stuff as my 04 Tahoe just needed a Passlock 2 and door lock bypass, that was easy figuring out. I know newer vehicles, some have plug n play where you hack little to no wires or at least that's what I've been led to believe.
    Would love to find a great write-up or video explaining all of this as I don't have a problem learning the stuff. If I can run a oscilloscope on cars and check sensors this stuff should be able to be understood. I know CAN Networks for sure.

    I have a ford crown Victoria, it doesn’t have an alarm. And the keys don’t have any buttons on them or anything like that. Do I still need a bypass module? And can someone please help me with where the RX/TX and Tach wires are located.?? I can’t find them. In diagram I have says it’s one thing but when I go look for it, there’s nothing there that matches.

      Not correct. It's wether your car has an immobilizer or not. Regular keys can have then an a little chip with the plastic the houses the metal for the actual "key".

    so if you are using data mode, on the bypass and it sends all the information needed to the remote starter, why do you still have to connect wires from the alarm/ remote starter.. I think were I'm getting lost is everyone keeps saying that connecting in data mode sends all the information needed from the car to the Idatalink then to the alarm allowing all these functions digitally... but then I see people still installing a ton of wi
    res, can you elaborate on this??

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  Před 7 lety

      Simply because data mode don't always provide ALL the inputs that you need for your installation. It all depends what you need to hook up for your setup. It's typically not the bypass module that is limiting you on what inputs you have, but the vehicle itself which does not have all the data info available. In which case you need to hardwire it yourself.

    • @DRSKINGDAVID
      @DRSKINGDAVID Před 7 lety

      dial2fast thanks for the reply I greatly appreciate it.. so what if you just hardwired the remote start to the bypass all wires on the front of the bypass and remote start that the Idatalink instructions provide meaning the dotted lines and the red lines, and then wire up all the wires running from the back of the remote starter to each other and to the car would this provide all the connections or would there still need to be connections made? also how would you know that the car isn't giving all the information needed to the module would this be something noticed after Instalation?

    Great video, quick question can the Idatalink ALCA reflashed for a different vehicle. (ex: from 2008 Acura csx to 2009 Honda accord)

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  Před 6 lety

      The ALCA can be reflashed to any software, but you will need a dealer account to download the software and also a flash cable.

    • @emanence5
      @emanence5 Před 6 lety

      dial2fast is a dealer account still required if we were to purchase the usb cables

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  Před 6 lety

      Anyone can buy the flash cable online, but you need to register for an account with idatalink. The registration requires a business name and address. You can try to register and see what it requires.

    bla bla bla.... simple question that everybody came here to see do you need the original chipped key in order to use the box becuase 9 out of 10 people watching this video lost the keys and are looking for alternative to 300 dollars at the dealer does the box overide the immoblizer or just mimics the key in the switch .
