Thanks you so much for the 4 videos on remote start, very informative and helpful. I am confident enough to install the same systems u did on to my 2004 honda civic by the help of your videos, Thanks once again.
Thank you so much. I was looking a lot in the web for wiring diagram. Until I saw your video and then finally found the wiring diagram for my accord.
Excellent and very detailed video.
can you do one for viper?
Hello there, thank you for the very helpful video, however I want to install it in older car that dosnt have any coded key or bypass, what’s the different? Can you ask you about the 26 cables where everyone goes ? I live outside USA so it will be difficult to install without help
I like the new website because it has videos that help you simplify the installation, very good idea
Video series is 8 years old but still is the best tutorial out till 2023.
Thanks for the video, am a bit stuck trying to install the same prestige and flash-logic by pass on Jeep Wrangler 2007/8. From the install guide of the flash logic wiring diagram 3 am suppose to connect the pink wire-ignition(+) input from the by pass to ignition (+) input of the prestige. Which wire is the ignition input for the prestige remote start? and which wire is the 12(+) input from the prestige remote?
Do you need the bypass? Im looking to install,a similar remote start to a 2002 camaro
Thanks for creating this video. I'll be installing the same Prestige alarm system into my 1997 GMC Safari van so it's good to see how everything goes together. I created an Excel spread sheet with all wire connections/locations, wire colors, relay connections, notes, etc. before I start the actual install. Luckily, my car does not require a bypass module, so that should simplify things a bit. For the low current splice connections, I plan on using inline plastic taps which do not require any cutting or soldering. All connections into the vehicles wiring harness will be via quick connect plugs/sockets which means I can quickly remove the alarm system or do mods if needed in the future.
Waltkat How do you know your van doesn't require a bypass module?
Because it's an older van that does not have a chipped ignition key or any other factory anti-thief electronics.
Waltkat hello there ,did u manage to install it with strat engine ?I also need to install one with no bypass, could you help me with the wiring ?my email is h.aldaoud@gmail.com will be grateful
Can you see if idatalink works with nordic ns3000 starter for 04 saturn vue 2.2l 4 cyl.Manual transmission
did the alarm and remote control are distroy cable wayering car when used anytime?sorry about my english....??
Hey, i have this alarm with flashlogic FLCAN, brought my mazda3 hatchback 2010 to an installer today but he had a hard time linking the alarm to the bypass, any idea what he might be doing wrong? I have to return next week so he can try again.
hi,i have already compustar alarm in my car.if i add this cs800-s to my car.how to install? do i have stall parallel wirings:hook pin, brake wires,lights....between new remote starter and old alarm.thanks
I got replacement key from Walmart.. I am sure it does not have any chip. Thanks for the quick response
Its wonder full video and very clean job tying up all wires together. I am planning to install a kit on my 2002 toyota rav4. Its an automatic transmission and key start and i hope no transmitter. My understanding is, bypass module need only for those keys works with transmitter? Also i did not find right set that is recommended for toyota rav4. Would you recommend one?
+sunil c I am not sure if your Rav 4 has immobilizer chip in the key. If it does, then you need a bypass module. The bypass module can be programmed for any make and model, but you need the programming cable and an account.
Hi, My project is running bit slow due to snow and incremental weather :). I did start and connected most of the wires and struck with few things. I dont have any bi-pass module bcos my key doesn't come with transmitter and i have to connect all the wires from Audiovox Prestige APS997E module. Here are my questions. I appreciate your help in advance.
1) Ground Output While Running (-) 300mA: The mode i am trying to use is " Anti-Grind Starter Circuit Connection". The Installation manual referring to use relay. Does it really required? or 2002 rav4 starter wire will be coming from default relay?
2) Dome Light: How to connect this? Install doc says "This wire provides a 30 second ground output, (300 mA Max.)" Do i have to use Relay?
3) Parking Lights: I have my security system provided with Parking Light Relay Input wire and Output Wire. How to make these connections with rav4 GREEN (+) as wiring diagram describe?
Can u help me , I wanna install viper 5706v with ads alca bypass module on 03 Nissan Pathfinder. How many wire I have to connect in d2d method???
hi you, please, does this Prestige and bypass module work on Yaris 2015 Manual? Please your advice, I'm about to buy a prestige, and bypass module.
I install one in my car, but I yunkard the car and I took it out can I reuse or reflash it to my other car
I have an 07 odyssey I only want a basic remote start what is best brand for that
can this work on 2008 ford focus ?
hi very good video the ads alca will work the same like flash logic only with data wire or u have to conect hard wire
+emiljan tanko They are the same units except the data cable that comes with them are different.
where can i get a wire diagram from?
HI DIAL2FAST!, GREAT VIDEOS CONGRATULATION, I LOVED THEM WELL DONE
I am Installing one on my dodge caravan 2005 SE, but I got stuck I can't find the accessory wire o the harness, even tough I can't find it on the wiring list from the Van.
Can I have some little help.. when I text the wires one gives me 1V on the on run and 0 on the crank position, and there is another one that gives me 12 V on all three when it should be me 0 on the crank for the accessory... can you guide me please, Thank you!!!
+CARMELO Relente I have not worked on that car before. The best thing is post your question on www.the12volt.com/installbay/
ok, thanks for the help great videos!!
Hi I purchased one on eBay and it wasn't boxed up like when you opened it emailed seller said that's the way shipped out smh gonna send it back

hi its very good video i learn alot ....they question ido have ...if the car idosnt have anti thift option on it .. do i need by pass modulle ..ido have honda element 2003..... let me know
There is a RF chip in the key that is part of the security system, and needs to be bypassed for the remote start.
I have a really stupid question....Im going to do this on an 01 tahoe...and ive looked at the idadalink and the flashlogic install manuals....SAME SHITE I KNOW but they both say "sliding door left and right" need to be connected as they are solid black on the diagram.....TAHOES DONT HAVE SLIDING DOORS....what do?!
Cassie L don’t hook it up then just ignore it
Hello dial2fast i have a quick question i hope you can help me i have a car alarm installed on my toyota like 2 years from now but never got the remote start feature installed is an prestige i don't know the model but i need to know where i need to wire the remote, trunk or window roll up dark blue wire in my case i want to use it to remote start?
You will need to find the model number then get the installation guide. Then install those options and if you don't know how to do it then find a shop that can install for you.
A quick question. I'm using the same Remote Start and FLCAN bypass for my 2009 Toyota Corolla. I'm a little confused on the parking light input and output. I have access to both the +/- wires and I'm not sure which wires hook up to the remote start wires (input or output) thanks.
+jeff harley If you connecting to the vehicles parking light which requires +12V, then you need to connect the alarm's input to a 12V supply, so the output will provide 12V to the parking light. If you connecting to car's parking light wire that requires gnd, then connect your input to gnd, and the output will give gnd to the parking light wire in the vehicle.
+dial2fast thank you!
Wonder if you could depin those unused wires. Then you could just throw them in your box. Less wire clutter. Great video!
If you are an experienced installer, then cut the wires off you don't need. I use to do that all the time and had a huge box of spare wires. I made this video for beginners and the last thing is to cut the wires only to find out you needed them.
so that's mean using data wire prestige is goin to be working same like u showing on the video
WERE CAN U FLASH IT SYSTEM THANKS
Does the fob get alerted or “go-off” if the alarm is activated and I am with in a 1 mile radius?
Yes it will on the 2 way remote
Did you have to flash the bypass by yourself or did it come flashed with the remote starter?
I had it flash for the vehicle by the seller.
dial2fast Thanks
AT 11:22 why are you returning grounds to the module? The best and most common electrically and accessibility wise is the chassis ground. Is there some specific reason you are returning them to the controller? Thank you for the videos
+Thad ward If you are referring to the 4 wire connector, then the black goes to ground, the red white goes to internal relay in the alarm module, and the white comes back out of the relay to connect to parking light. Depending on whether your parking light needs + trigger or - trigger, for my vehicle, I needed negative trigger, so the red white wire is connected to the black wire for ground. You can connect using multiple ring terminals to connect directly to chassis, but negative trigger on parking light is low amperage and tapping it the way I did is fine.
+dial2fast awesome, thanks for your reply. I was only referring to the comment you made about the siren requiring a ground and you saying that you were going to attach that siren ground back to the harness ground. So I was just curious why you were returning any grounds anywhere other than the chassis. For instance: if you had a switched low control line, you would return that back, but you referred to it as a ground, instead of a switched low. So I was just trying to figure out why, thought maybe it was something unique to this device or maybe your style? Thanks again for your time.
+Thad ward Ok, the siren ground wire needs to connect directly to chassis ground. So there are several ways you can do this. One, as you mentioned is to connect the siren ground to chassis in the engine compartment. But usually this is not as clean of an install, and also you may end up needing to self tap a screw to chassis in the engine just to connect this ground wire. For me, it's just something I got use to doing when installing alarms which is to run my own ground wire from inside the car to the engine compartment. For me to solder the siren ground to that black wire (which is ground as it will be screwed to chassis), it's the exact same potential point which is chassis ground.
+dial2fast thank you, that cleared it all up for me. awesome videos, I'm watching twb#21 where you fixed your lcd screen good work.
Is this a alarm and starter all in one?
Yes
Hey man how’re you doing I had some questions for you would appreciate it if you answer thanks
prestige. remonte starter with ads alca should be good combination with data wire
would this set up work on a 99 dodge Dakota?
+ScrappyDDoo The parts will work for most cars. The installation is different for each model of car.
ok then
What model or type a Bypass i need for a ford fusion 2006 and viper 5706v
hw do u flash it
+Prince Dabby You need the flash cable and a dealer account with Flashlogic, or have an authorized dealer do it.

This alarm system can fit all kind of the car?
Yes
i think the reason I'm so confused is because the installation guide for the alarm isn't as detailed or informative as yours. It's just one sheet of paper printed on the front and back.
It's embarrassing having this much trouble understanding when i have 20 years in automotive technologies! i can build a engine with no instructions, but i can't tie a neck tie... :-(
+PANTYEATR1 You can download the install guide here: www.voxxelectronics.com/docs/common/APS997E/APS997E_IM.pdf
I hate that people call the controller or microcontroller or computer the "brain". It sounds ridiculous to anyone who understands anything about electronics.
This is the slang/jargon that installers use going back 20+ years ago. Guess I am just old school.
dial2fast no it's all good I guess I'm just being a dick.
Sorry about that.
This video is great but has way too manny ads improsible to see the instructions thumbs down.
Your video ain't no help and it's not showing s***
