I am thinking of installing the compustar4900s in toyota camry 2012 but my question is once they install it I will not be able to use my original keys anymore or the ignition with the control is only to heat the car?
Do we just buy the remote and then we can program it to our car? Or do we have to buy the remote and do a bunch of wiring stuff?aa
After having this installed, my headlights are now on all the time. So, say I am parked in an alley and want my parking ligjhts on only, I cant do it. Whenever the car is running, headlights are on. How do I fix this?
We had this installed on my hubby's Subaru last winter. It goes into valet mode, except more like super valet because the car won't even start with the key. Had it installed at Best Buy but they can't replicate it, of course, and Compustar can't (won't) help because the installer can't replicate it. Advice?
My one way remote turns on and off the shock sensor the same way as the 2 way remote.
Lock and truck for 2.5 secs. Lock and unlock for 2.5 secs gives me 3 light flashes from the vehicle.
So im looking to install a Compustar CS7900-AS All-in-One 2-Way Remote Start and Alarm Bundle w/ 3000 feet Range and after extensive research found out i need a remote starter controller module. Does any controller work or does it have to be compustar, also when i buy the Max it or start it by compustar will it come with the blade Al included?? what would i need to fully install a remote start and alarm system (want it to be as plug and play as possible) and will i be able to add a push to start in the future any and all help its wellcome thanks. (will be doing it to a 2019 silverado 1500 LD)(Old body style)

Compustar 700r, I accidentally pressed buttons while my control was in my pocket and now the car locks itself 30 seconds after I closed the driver side door, how do I remove it. Cause it’s a problem it has locked out and some mechanics left the keys inside the ignition left them outside too

Bought a used Kia Soul with the compustar 700r remotes and security system. Of course no manual came with it. I’ve been trying to figure out how to silence/ mute the chirping to lock/unlock my doors. Not working for me. I’ve followed the CZcams instructions no luck. Help please.

I have the same remote and was able to do it just lock the car and then hold the unlock and lock for a half a second like the video says and the lights should blink similar to how they do when you unlock or lock doors and then unlock the doors and this time you shouldn't get any chirp from the siren and just the lights should blink and if your trying to turn it back on its the same procedure just this time when you push the unlock button you should get a double chirp and the lights will blink twice

I know that when u install this in a regular car key needed vehicle the car will turn off when u step on the break without the key in the ignition, my push to start altima needs to have the break pressed down to turn on the car. how will this work? when I want to drive away
My 705 2 way remote is making a beep sound every 1 or 2 seconds. There is no other indication or icon om my vehicle remote, anybody know what that indicates?
Once I press unlock it stops making the sound.

Probably in valet mode. Had a battery replaced and it would open and close doors but no start.
I have 2014 Honda Civic with this remote installed and my car has keyless entry system, so when I remote start the car, it starts ok, but when I open the door it shuts down. How do I fix that? I don’t have a key to turn on the key, so even if I push the start button, it stops, and I had to manually start again. How do I fix this?
any chance you figured it out? just bought 2014 civic Touring yesterday and just shuts off when you hit brake or start button
Model 700R Fob uses same function for shock sensor mute. Lock and trunk 2.5 sec.

Usually remote starter modules are set to 15 minutes.

True but all of that should've came with the alarm and remote of your choice.
@@quacktony just take it to a authorized dealer and they can change the idle time, I had mine changed to 45m at a authorized dealer.

I have the 7900A on my 95 Impala and I can't silence the loud chirps from the car when I lock and unlock

Reset compustar remote to start car
Just had one of these CompuStar remote car starters installed on my mothers car for Christmas and the trunk button doesn't work. The original remotes that came from Chevy with the car both worked and would pop the trunk so why aren't these new remotes able to pop the trunk? I was only told after the the fact by the installer that it would be an additional $50 to get this feature to work which doesn't make any sense to me since the remotes that came with car both popped the trunk. Is there any way to get these buttons to work so that I don't have to go back to these assholes?
Luigi Provencher Sorry to hear that man, I don't think these guys are willing to give you an answer either since they just make their systems and sell them to the dealers or installer/tech, the problem is with your installer.
Whenever anyone is looking for to get a remote start/alarm installed in their car I personally recommend that all the features I want will be included in the price period.
I advise to you would be to go to another installer that handles Compustar systems and ask the to turn on that feature, most times they just have to connect a programming device into the antenna port at the windshield and activate, is that simple.
Who would be honest enough to do it for free? Only you can find out! Good luck!! Let me know how that goes!
Luigi Provencher One other suggestion, you can go to techfeed.com and find the model alarm or remote start you purchase and download the install manual, it contains all the info you need to see what features you have available for your system, if you're in luck you could even activate your feature using your remote!
Luigi Provencher The same thing has just happened to me. They told me i needed the 4 button remote to replace the original Chevy one. I paid more for the 4 than the 1 just to realize a couple weeks later the trunk button does not work. Now they want a additional $40.00 to program it. I was never told that it was extra. THIS IS A FREAKING SCAM!!!!!
So very disappointed
