Running Oakwell Hall parkrun in Tutus! Feel Good parkrun with Family. Tutu for 22! parkrun Tourism.

- We headed over to Oakwell Hall parkrun in Birstall, Batley on the 22nd... all of the twos mean two two... or tutu! We put on our tutus and headed to a new venue for Poppy and an O for my sister, Carla's, name badge! We love our parkrun challenges!
I'd not run here for a long time, and I'd forgotten just what an awesome trail run it is. I'd highly recommend a tourist visit to Oakwell Hall parkrun and I'd leave the day free so you can explore the gorgeous woodland. It really is a beautiful place to be and it's hard to believe you're so close to the motorway!
It was really lovely to be there with Poppy, my sister, and my niece and nephew.
Really loved this one and just two parkruns to go until Poppy's 100th different parkrun venue (Cowell)! Super exciting!

It's a lovely parkrun 😃 lol, I like seeing running sped up... I find it really satisfying. Bet some people don't like it but it makes me smile 😊😊😊

Loved the sculpture....great diversion. Looks like an amazing day and course. Poppy sprint finish is always icing on the cake. (Cringed at the bar scanner having a difficult time with someone....good on you to make the effort to smooth it over). These videos are always like we are running too.....also 2k subs for you!!!!

lovely video Nic, and I bet it was a different experience being able to "let loose" a bit with your running, and yet still have Poppy doing well with Carla and the family! I do wonder about how some of these stately homes might survive into the next century as a lot of those in public hands / in public parks seem to suffer over time.
Anyway, thanks for sharing - another to add to our "infinity parkrun list" (the list of parkruns that seems to always get longer, no matter how many we run!)
Oh my goodness this is my new favourite phrase 🤣 Infinity parkrun List! 🤣 Hopefully the stately homes will survive but I do know what you mean. Yes it was lovely knowing Poppy was out there having fun and helping her cousins run 🥰 it melted my heart ❤️

What a wonderful place for a park run. Grade 2 listed building and if anywhere has ghosts that place looks like it does. Loved the video Nicola. Take care, oh and congratulations on the 2k subscribers.

Hi Nicola, just wondered which was your favourite of the varoius Leeds park runs?
What are you defining as Leeds? Just the properly close ones? Then it'd have to be Temple Newsam I think but Middleton Woods is also awesome. If Oakwell isn't too far out then that's number 1 as it's almost all on trail 😃 trail running will always rank higher than tarmac for me except in exceptional circumstances 😃

@@AndreiDamian it's when, instead of going through the finish tunnel and collecting a token, people finish and avoid the funnel tunnel... It messes up the system (I have heard mention that sometimes if a parkrun has not resulted in a good time (!!!) sometimes runners don't want that to go on their pr record but I am sure there, are other less, shallow reasons too x

@@NicolaRuns I have never seen the need to do it but it's fair to say that sometimes after running your heart out for 5k (and we all know that's the toughest distance.. WHAT NO SNACK BREAKS!!!!) the mind can feel a bit frazzled 😂 which is why I love a nice lonnngggg trundle xxx
