Hey Chaps! What TV do you have right now? (and what would tempt you to upgrade)?
48" C1 and it's still an amazing TV.
Samsung neo QLED 85" bestt
I have a 42 inch led tv from 2013. In case you got something left over I am happy for any upgrade you may be able to share :D
I have a 55” E9 thinking of upgrading to G4 once it’s out. How hard is it wiring devices to tv when wall mounted? Looks difficult with included bracket
LG CX OLED 55”, Sony Bravia 55” LCD and Samsung 40” LCD. I see no reason to upgrade from the LG CX OLED until it decides its life is over!
LG G1 here. has been fantastic so far. There was a recent update to the software and now it feels kinda snappier. Great review brother
I already have a 77" LG G1(my first ever oled) and am very happy with it. As much as I would love to upgrade to a G3 for the increased brightness, realistically I will probably wait until they upgrade their color's more for better color representation.
I also have the C1 dont think its worth spending thousands upgrading for a slightly better picture. unless youre a millionare with cash to burn then go ahead lol
I agree with you😢
Colors wear down tbhhh😢
You're viewing the colors through a camera, so that's one point it's going to shift, and two, its brightness makes the colors look washed out. G3 is so accurate out of the box that it finally can compete with Sony...
Pick up a G3 with MLA and then get a G4 for even better brightness
Thank you, this video did it for me. G 65 ordered. Thanks for your help
Nice review of a brilliant TV. Got my first OLED this year. It's an LG CS9 in 77 inch and the superiour picture quality just blows me away, any time I turn on the TV.
Enjoy your tech mate. A wife and a few oled tvs. You got it made 👍😁 I own 4 oleds I love them . C2 65" is my pride and joy.
I love the cursor of LG. It is very convenient to use and versatile.
Great review Tom! I'm rocking the G3 too, it's an awesome screen.
My favorite channel!
Great review, thanks for the detailed insight. Does the TV have built in FreeSat and Recorder? I'm trying to find out if I'll need a separate FreeSat box?
I'm so buzzing I'm getting one of these delivered tomorrow, can't wait 😂
i still of course have my lg c1, love it!
LG is fantastic. Found a steal locally of a 77 G2 at $2400. This is our family's first new living room TV set in 14 years. What a difference OLED makes.
77 inches ???? Thats massive.. but also so much satisfying
@@GGori_99Yes! Last TV was 60 inches. 77 takes the whole mantle. We will not be upgrading for at least five years.
@@dsdddsd4543we thats great !! Im still rocking 65 inches Sony ( forgot the model name ) since 2017
That is a steal. TV (G2) of that size in the place a live still cost US$5,500+ 😔
Deals are great. Got myself a G3 65 for 2300 euros last week!
Literally just ordered this in 55inch. Upgrading from a 49 inch sony 900f. Can't wait until it gets here.
55” C7 owner and will definitely be upgrading to the G3 this year. Bigger house now, can’t wait to slap the 77” on the wall. Waiting for Black Friday deals though 😅
Have decided to upgrade this year actually, was blown by the stunning performance of what LG have done this year. I still have the LGC9 55inch, around that time I was amazed and proud of even being able to own such technology and witness how amazing tv can get with OLED. Now, even more happier to see this brand new tv with OLED evo MLA on it. Went for 77inch this time around. very excited.
Sticking with the C9 a bit longer. I refuse to keep upgrading every other year on TV'S. I've had 3 OLEDS already, B6, B7 and C9. Sold the 6 but still have the other 2.
How much did you pay for it? 💵
@@1nfamous76how much they cost you? 🤑
@@jarekzahary the b6 was £2k, the b7 was £1400 and the C9 was £1350
Does the 77 inch have MLA?
i would buy it in a heart beat if so
i dont think it does?
So tempted to upgrade from my C9. Also looking at 2 era 300's for surround with the Arc. How did you get on with yours in the end?
Still rocking the LG 55SJ850V NanoCell TV from 2017. It's lacking a lot of things these new screens have, but it has a great 4K picture and I just can't justify to go for a new TV.
Really nice follow-up review. My primary TV is a Samsung 55” LED from 2010. 😂 I think this might be the year I finally upgrade. Trying to decide between the 77” C3 or the 65” G3 so to keep the price under $3000. Watching in a basement, I sit about 12 feet away from the screen. Hmmmm..
Getting my 77 in G3,same one you have delivered wtf with my Sonia pkg and geek squad.cannot wait
I just bought the lg oled b2;good entry-level oled for me. I like the magic remote, and the picture is nice.
Does it have any new technological features to protect it from Screen Burn or would that still be a problem
Got this tv, just amazing! Upgraded from 2019 lg C9 nano tech, much better pic and features on the 65 g3.
Amazing! I love LG OLED it’s my preference, I had Samsung and yes you get that brightness and color pop but this G3 does it for me and I’ve had Oled since the c8, then cx which I still have gaming on it and watching movies is still amazing plus has hdmi 2.1 I believe that was the first c series to do 2.1, also purchased c2 42inch for gaming & now G3 for the living room 🙌🏽
C9 was first LG OLED with four x full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 inputs
Wait a second does C8lla have a 2.1 hdmi? I dont think so
All I can afford is watch all these TV reviews 😭
How does this compare with QD-OLED ?? I have a aw34qd monitor and it’s incredible the colors pop out so much. Even if this oled is so good i think the right time to jump to buy a new oled is when lg launches its qdoled lineup
What lighting are you using behind your TV? And does it stay the colour you set it when you turn the telly back on?
i just got a 65 g2 for 1400, i cant complain it a big step up in gaming from my 2018 sony kd af8
Just got the lg C3. I love it
Eu tenho a c2 e estou maravilhado!❤
Any chance you can review the QM8? Love your work, would love a G3 vs QM8 comparison but i know thats difficult
Is there some sort of art or gallery mode? I like the aesthetic of the Samsung Frame TV's but want a better picture quality day to day of an OLED panel.
We appreciate your reviews. They always contain essential information.
To be clear this is a sponsored video by LG, so not a review - but I appreciate the info helped! :)
AWESOME VIDEO
I have still got my LGCX65 and ive loved this since day one.. The G3 is the first time ive seriously considered upgrading , just wished i had the option to buy with stand ..
I have the 65 CX and also want the G3. But oh that price. Not gonna happen.
I also have a CX and the G3 is the only one making me take a peak. I still love the picture quality we get on the CX. It still makes me smile.
Nice review. Still good in a bright room?
I've got a 65 and couldn't be happier.
I'm really looking to pull the trigger on a new tv, this one in particular. My current tv is a 50" plasma from 2013, so this would be a major upgrade.
I am trying to determine if there’s a way to connect headphones to the LG G3 via low-latency USB dongles such as the Audeze Maxwell. Is that something you could test?? As always thanks for your reviews.
Chap - Can I use a swivel/tilt mount for LG 77" G3? Would you recommend against it? Which mount would you recommend?
Bought this tv 3 weeks ago IM IN LOVE!
What size did you go for?
@@Thetechchap i almost went for the a95k but the g3 was similarly priced where i live so i went for the 55 inch model since its in my bedroom and i don’t need a really big one there. i might want to go for a 77 inch one for in the livingroom aswell
@@Thetechchap quick question, do you know of i can fit a govee t2 on this tv with the camera stuff and all ?
Where did you get your tv cabinet from? It matches my room perfectly
Excited to get this tv! I was curious what the available gallery looks like, I can't seem to find it anywhere online. I saw there were some art pictures and I know it isn't as extensive as the Samsung frame gallery but can you give any input as to what pictures are in there? I really would like to have the gallery going when we have company over! LOL
The best TV i ever owned is the LG QNED90. Absolutely stunning picture
Still rocking the LG B7 oled here for that retro vibe 😂
Getting a 55 inch one delivered next week. Can’t wait🔥
How is it I have lg bx
Hello , Could you please share on the power consumption. Is there power stabilizer need to be connected ?
I am tempted to buy a G3, but i have a question: In yout video you state the wallmount is backwards compatible, i now have a 65gx , so can i just hang the G3 on the GX wallmount. And on the other side use the G3 wallmount for the GX in the bedroom?
If the 83 inch doesn’t support the brighter technology do you recommend to avoid it and rather get the 77”?
I feel the sweet spot for the majority of people looking for an OLED is the C2….not the latest but still has some fantastic features compared to the C1 or G1.
the g1 is better than the c2 really. there is a reason one is C and the other is G
@@Mr.Ohiolehow is it better?
@@AlanManeby blindly licking like him it's better for you
@@Mr.Ohiole and the reason is **drumroll**, G stands for Gallery, which purpose it is to be wallmounted. Other then that, the differences are neglectable, especially if they are using the exact same panel.
Idk year after year the C series really doesn't have any improvements. The G series has MLA going for it this year which is finally the clear separation from the C Series. CX to C3 has no substantial jump. The S90C and S95B are the real sweet spots.
What is the MLA tech and why not on the 83”. Do you suggest not buying an 83”?
It has been a long time since i've been interested in upgrading TVs but this thing looks like a killer upgrade... until you look at the price.
rocking the G1 in 55" problem is I can see individual pixels going any larger, so have it on the wall far enough away thats not a problem (should have grabbed the 65" now that I think of it) but I wish the G Series had an 8k offering 4k in 55" is perfect but once above that the need for a higher pixel count density starts showing real quick!!
How is the latency mode? Respond to less of 10ms, but exactly how much it is?
Still rocking a LG CX 48 inch OLED TV, not planning to upgrade!
that tv cursor moving ramdonly at 4:04 is just too hilarious
It was the remote.
Yeah it was how I was holding the remote
HELP!! is the G3 any good linked with SKY Q???? :)
Sony 900f currently, debating between the c3 or g3. Think size will dictate which one I get
Hello Mr Tech Chap, I’ve just ordered this tv, What sound bar should I buy to go with it please?
I have an old 40inch Sony VA from 2016. Now I am saving money for a QD-OLED from Sony, XR-77A95L or XR-65A95L(my room is pretty small and the 77 inch fit is very tight, I might end up gettting the 65inch). I expect to be able to buy them next year in January or February. A LG G3 is an option too, but I heard only good things about the QD-OLED. Also I have a Philips Evnia 8600 monitor on order and I am dying of curiosity to see what QD-OLED can do. I really hope that I would be able to save and nothing un planed will happen. One thing that worry me a lot is the burn in
Going to be upgrading my 2018 C8 to a 55 G3 this year and can't wait😃
Was it a significant upgrade? I’ve got a 2017 OLED wondering if it’s worth the upgrade
@chaozheng8846 I'm waiting for the 2024 models to appear and see if the price of the 2023 models drop any further.
Ah so you didn't get the G3 8 months ago. What's your target price for G3 55"?
2:21 I would love to put Ambi lights behind the TV but as you said there's literally no Gap so does it make any sense to install ambilight
I love LG tvs my fave.
I m still using my of signature flagship tv of 2018 (think that was year) which has the paper thin tv held on wall by magnets and only one main cable down tv connected to a speaker which also has all the other inputs. I love this tv so stunning. They do not make this anymore but I so wish they did. If they did I would buy a new version for sure
But instead I’m goona wait for the new wireless tv they’re doing coming out in sept. 😊
That 77 inch looked massive in your room but the 65 looks too small? Which size did you prefer?
Can u please do full side-by-side calibrated comparison of Samsung S95C and LG G3 for Gaming, Anime, Movies and SD content?
How hard is it to replace HDMI ports with the no gap mount? I have the LG C9 tv
JUST BOUGHT MY NEW 75" G3 TONIGHT!
Hey There Tom @Thetechchap
Seriously considering getting this model this year.
Only issue though is that I have a fairly flexible wall mount mechanism which allows for angle viewing and forward protrusion from the wall.
Would I have to replace it with the LG bespoke bracket?
If not - What is the VESA dimensions for this model?
I have the exact same question, thanks for asking
300 x 300 vesa mount
what entertainment console did you buy? Looks nice.
Should I go for the 55" G3 or C3?
How do you hide all your cables when the tv is on the wall?
I noticed the ps5 for example was on the tv stand and can’t see any cables?
Samsung do a separate box which I thought was a good idea 👌🏻
I am looking for a TV for my bright and big living room. Looking for 65 or 75 inch models. I loved how Sony picture looked like in store however worried about peak brightness. I am looking at the 2022 XR A95K. It looks fantastic though expensive. Mainly looking to watch movies and shows. Have a 5.1 system with sound bar for immersive sound. Is the 95K an overkill? Which one would you suggest?
PS: Currently have a 3/4 year old Samsung QE55Q85R - QLED but not satisfied anymore with the quality and brightness.
Can it stay a couple of inches away from the wall? I have something on the wall that’ll prevent it from being flat.
Thanks
Is the G3 bright enough for a bright room?
Does the panel burn when we leave static images for a while?
I currently have a flagship samsung q95t qled from 2020. Would the g3 be much off an upgrade from my q95t its used for gaming only....
Stick with my oled cx, after 7000 hours on it with streaming, cable tv, ps5, SIMPLY STUNNING 👏🏻
wow that's a long time!
55 inch is too big for my gaming setup. How does this larger model compare to the 42 inch variant?
Purchased the 65" G2 2 weeks back, with price drop and some NHS discount, it came in at £1400 - had to snap it up for that. Had a Panasonic GT50 Plasma since 2012, which has gone in the bedroom for now. Still a great picture from that 🙂
Same here, 2 months ago I also picked up a 65G2! The picture is stunning, and sometimes I think we get a little bit lost in always wanting the latest and the best, once the tv is in your home and you can’t compare it to another one next it, you don’t think about the new model being slightly better 🙂
I got a G2 6 months ago, and now I don't bother about any G3 or G4 or any future model for at least 10 years from now. So much satisfied from my G2.
Same here with my G2 I got late last yr and still great. I won't upgrade for an another 3 to 5 yrs and when I do, I'll get an the latest LG for sure
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to plug in additional HDMI stuff after you wall mount this TV? Is there a box available for this TV so we can have only one cable coming out of it (besides power)?
I plan buying this on black friday, but i'm still split between this and Samsung S95c. Leaning towards the LG, as my previous 3 tv's have been LG OLED's :D
I went from the LG C9 to Samsung S90c and I regret it. Stick with LG the colours are more realistic and accurate. Plus the magic remote on Lg is the best
Would be nice if LG started putting MLA tech in their C series TV's next year.
SANA ALL😍
I have the G2 (love it), but I’m really struggling to determine if it’s worth selling it and upgrading to the G3. Is there really that big of a difference?
Yes 😁 How much did you pay for it? 💵
There's almost never a reason to upgrade after only 1 new iteration.
Wait for G4 or maybe even G5.
Brav do they still make 55 inch tv's and what is the best video game compatible tv for next years release on the Sony PS5 Pro??
I'm really considering this tv in 65" as an upgrade to my now rather old Lg oled55b7.
Only kind of holding out for the Sony but they're taking so long that this will be about 2/3 of the price when they come along with their premuim Lauch prices.
I'd really like more info about the various picture in picture modes available in various tv operating systems.
I feel its a really overlooked and neglected feature.
I'd like to use a tv as my do it all screen and a centred 21:9 mode would be perfect to tile an ultrawide or multi-monitor format into this large canvas.
What options are available? I saw a decent dual window mode that presumably allows dual inputs.
How about outputting 21:9 from a pc and setting tv aspect ratio to original? Does it give you an ultrawide with black bars that are effectively just switched off?
Or does the tv fill vertically and crop the sides?
What about smaller 16:9 resolutions? Can they be centred with 1:1 pixel output or are they stretched and upscaled to fill?
Fully black oled borders wouldn't bother me and could make an otherwise way too big screen function as a viable monitor.
if youre stirctly watching tv, I would go with sony. if you game more, go with LG.
How much did you pay for b7? 💵
@@jarekzahary about 1000EUR back then, almost a year after it came out.
I bought my LG OLED 4K 65" in 2016 I paid £3600 I have no problems with it but now I will buy 77" only OLED LG I'm a movie geek😊😀
I have an LG C2 and my only problem was the amount of spam I received via the notification center. And you can not turn it off, so I had to block LGs own servers to get rid of them. Is this still an issue?
I have lg bx 55 is this a huge upgrade ?
I like it, where I can buy this through online site???
1:30 is this wallpaper present by default in LG G3?
I've got a 65in CX and 55in G1. The CX is showing signs of burn in but I have geek squad protection from BestBuy which covers burn in. I was hoping they were going to exchange the TV but it's more cost effective for them to just replace the panel with a new one. It'll fix the issue but I did get my hopes up for an upgrade and I was looking at paying some extra to go all the way up to the 77in G3.
Yeah that’s what I heard you just get a panel swap not really another tv. I bought an open box and it was 2200 hours used. I think I might just return for the G3
@@joeldiramon8538 yeah they explained that if the repair costs more than 85% of the value then they will exchange it instead of repair (swap panels) or if they don't have the panel available they would also exchange it. But they did have it available and I guess swapping panels was less than 85% of the value of the TV.
cant they just give you store credit for the tv? and you pay the difference? at least thats what I heard
@@mitch20003 yeah I think that's what they do but only if it crosses that 85% threshold. Or at least that's what it seemed like based on what the Geek squad guy told me.
@@nathangood3745 Sometimes I wonder if all the panels are coded all the way to C level and just unlocked according to what you get repaired. I had my CX panel replaced in year one and Gsquad told me they always have panels. Always buy the 5 year Best Buy warranty they actually honor it.
I want to get an OLED but always worry about how it will handle a bright room and upscaling.
I'll be buying one of these in a few months
It's strange that LG don't advertise micro lens array technology anywhere on their product description and specs sheet.
Man, nice overview.
I have the G2 in 65, and I wanna upgrade to the G3, but it is still very expensive 😢
Keep up the good work 👏

What is best g3 or s95c ?
I have the g2 65inch and wanne upgrade tot the g3 65inch. Is it worth?
Can someone talk about the options for a electrical powersource? Does the tv allow if you installed a wall outlet to hide the cord. This seems to be an issue with tvs. I don’t want to see ANY cords lol
Managed to get a G2 55Inch for £999 couple weeks ago, couldn't justify the price increase for the G3
Ooh yeah that's a great deal!
So I have the g1 did you notice a big difference 👏😬
