Off topic; Besides iPhone camera/lens do you use to film your videos?
@Richmondthefish we have a Sony FX3. About to get FX30 to rid ourselves of the iPhone back up
@@BTheInstaller Good choices
@BTheInstaller I’m trying to decide if I should go with the 77 g2 or spend more money and get the 77 g3. Do you think it’s worth it?
@@nics8040 77 G3 since it's MLA. Dont get the 83 G3 as its not MLA and same as last year.
Congrats to the dude and thanks for him to hosting this video
Just got this oled 77 last Saturday delivered , installed on wall ( first wall mount tv ) had prior oleds. G2 in bedroom this one is much brighter , that mla is awesome ! . This 77 will work for my needs , thanks for the overview
Something I have found very useful installing the Gallery tvs is to use the provided little cardboard box that you insert in the no gap mount so it doesn't collapse on you while typing to hang the TV on it.
Very nice installation. Keep up the great work.
Wow, that was a wonderful install. I enjoyed that. You’re such a pro and props to your partner. She’s unbelievable Lord knows I know many that would be frightened to break a nail..
Been looking forward to this review, thanks for doing this.
Great video! I wanted to see a vid showing how sturdy the wall mount could hold the TV when it is NOT flush to the wall, and I think I got it. (I have an analog thermostat in the way)
Nice review keep up the good work B the installer
Awesome that Jen and the customer are part of the experience online. Well Done!
I have the truncheons g1 and absolutely love it, the blacks are incredible, this is one of the best tvs on the market
Jen was like Vanna pointing at the ports! 🤣 🤣
I would have liked watching Jen install a GOVEE T2 LED light strip on back frame of the TV. Huge visual enhancement.
Thanks guys for a good revue 👌🏻
I'm learning more English with your videos, very entertaining and informative.
Love this install video! The LG G3 is the one I want. I would love to hear the follow up from the homeowner…his thoughts and impressions on the G3. Thanks B and Jen!!!
Thanks for watching!
Only Sony for me since 1964….never had a bad one
@@stes3061 I love Sony too…I have the Sony a90j now. It’s extremely accurate maybe for me a little too accurate. I love the 3D look to the LG G3 and it will get brighter than my a90j.
@@jenwalshwellbalancedlifestyledoes the G3 HAVE to be wall mounted . It doesn't come with a stand right?
@@StationOutlook It does not have to be wall mounted, however you will need to buy a separate stand if you prefer that. Any 3rd party stand should do the trick.
I own a OLED LG C2 and I unbelievable love that OLED .I would LOVE to get myself a 77 INCH G3 but look in due time its not a need its a want and wants have to be put to the side.
Great review. Actually Best Buy gives you a stand for free if you buy the LG G3
Great video and outstanding tv, however, you drilled through the fire block, did you seal it with fire-resistant caulk? Might want to talk about that since you show drilling two holes in their fire block!
Great video. I’d recommend running cat6 ethernet wiring for every install.
For firmware updates? I guess it depends if your going to use any built in apps vs an AppleTv, etc.
Hi I live here in London in the UK. I would’ve gone for the 77 inch but they just wasn’t enough room in my apartment. I bought a separate solid stand from Amazon. My new TV is the same as yours except it’s 65 inch which is big enough for my room I’m over the moon with this product.
Looks great, I might wallmount mine myself then. Should have gone 83"!
Thanks guys! Please post your videos in HDR, so we can appreciate the picture quality even more. And it looks more natural too. I think a lot, if not most of us have an HDR TV / Display where we watch CZcams. thx!
I will try this. Would love to get it to work. Getting the FX30 to compliment the FX3 we have so both can shoot HDR
Install is clean B🔥👌🏾
Thanks. You'd never know it took 5 hours of video and install haha. Could have done it in an hour without the cameras
It would have to be the s95c from me definitely a slimmer profile and with the new Sanus brackets it’s completely flush thankfully with the one connect box that now delivers power 😍😍
The color alone
I really wish this tv had MLA in the 83inch
That was the deal breaker for me. Waiting for next years 83inch 🤞🏾
I like your house and color scheme. I have a slightly older 77 inch g1 and love it. To me it is bright enough, as when I have the tv up too bright it hurts my eyes, but I think a faster processor and a mla would be nice, but I've enjoyed my tv for a few years so I'm happy. I have my tv on a huge industrial looking stand. I bought it incase any new house I may live in, I can move the tv from room to room. I hope you enjoy and get many years of enjoyment from your tv. Thanks for sharing with us, your install.
The LG G3 is amazing
Got the 65 inch model of it and together with an 5.1 sonos sound system its an absolut blast. no need to visit cinemas again ;D
The outlet behind the TV doesn’t sit flush with the all. It has a lip. How does that effect the installation. The G3 isn’t actually right against the wall? And I think you are supposed to hear a click once the TV is pushed against the wall to the bracket?
Actually LG provides 4 colored stickers, 2 of them must be placed on the wall mount itself and marks the center of where the mounting pins from the TV should go and the other 2 stickers must be placed centered on the two upper mounting pins behind the screen. This makes it visually easier to navigate the mounting pins to the wall mount. Also provided is a card box that is placed temporarily inside the open wall mount to prevent if from collapsing while mounting. LG has a video describing this.
Think you
Nothing better than unboxing a brand new TV ❤❤❤
Extra kudos to Jen for being Mom/ Wife of the Year and still assisting 💪 -- you’re ok too B … 😆👍
Hello I love the video , it is very helpful for me with showing me how to hang my LG G3 . Can u tell me the name of the items that you used to hide the cords and where would I buy them from ? Thanks 🙏
Good afternoon! could you give information at what distance from the fastener it is necessary to draw a conclusion for the socket and hdmi for 77g3. Thank you
@BTheInstaller
Where can i get that exact kit, like all those electrical things and that box kit?
Can you please let me know where you got that TV Stand from?
@BTheInstaller is it better to hardwire like this or is it okay to use a kit that goes in the wall and plugs in at the bottom? Does it matter? Also just wondering did you run the tvs power cord through the recessed areas on the back of the tv?
I just bought this TV! Got $1400 off because of a local Best Buy flash sale. It comes Wednesday! Can’t wait! Hoping it comes with a foot because I don’t plan on or probably even have the space to wall mount 😂
What size did you get and how much was it with $1400 off?
I have a Sony A1E 65” which was professionally calibrated and still looks amazing. Is this the Tv to finally upgrade to? I may even decide to finally retire my Pioneer Kuro 60” TV too…
I hope the G3 is better because I haven’t been too Impressed with the EVO panel on my C2. I honestly prefer my C1 as far as PQ, Colors, Motion, and build quality.
C series got no love since 2019, stop buying it. C3 can't even hit 1000 peak brightness in 2023. C9 looks pretty much identical to C3. G series is LGs high-end line.
@@Dr.WhetFartsyou expect a lower end series to be high end? Lol
@@Dr.WhetFartsthe C series is still a great entry level oled value
@@Ventus7777 It's actually their mid tier. It goes B (low), C (mid), G (high). LG C series is a fantastic option for someone that wants to not cheap out, but also isn't ready to drop over 5k
@@meyeame8956 you're right. I bought C2 this year for the price of lower tier B model ($950). It's my first OLED and I couldn't justify paying more for G3. I'm super happy with the purchase and the price I paid but I'll definitely be upgrading in the future for bigger QD-OLED
If I am not planning to hang my TV at least for a few years. Would you recommend this or the C3? I know I can get the stand for this if needed.
just got the 55” LG C2 upgraded to 77” LG G3. I couldn’t use the included mount since it only works with studs 16” or 12” apart. In my case wall studs are 24” apart so I had to reuse the old mount. TV sits 1.5” away from the wall but that’s ok. Picture and sound are phenomenal. I’m using it with Apple TV 4k and it fully supports Dolby Vision and Athmos Sound.
Why use with apple tv? The apps on the tv are not good enough?
Great work, Bryan
Jen is great and I love the information on your videos
Thanks for watching!
Hi ! what distance do you have between the tv and the sofa?
So it’s official, Jen is a cohost? I’m here for it.
when you made holes for the mount on the wall i noticed one was at the far end of the mount( the circle shape) and the other was not, my question can we use the circle shape or the rectangular shape . thank you
I'd die happy having this tv
I have the 65" version coming in 2 days. Kinda wish i knew where this entertainment stand is from !!!!!
For those that have fitted this wall mount, how flush is the TV to the wall, is there any room at all? My set existing set up, is above and old fireplace on the chimney breast with a hole for the cables centred. If i were to mount with this, the hole would be directly below the mount and the HDMI's and power cable would have to run along the back of the TV through the vesa area to feed into that whole. Would those cables be crushed in this set up?
I have a room with much sun. So my question is, will this old work better vs older one? I am looking forward gaming and movie watching. So been looking at a frame tv as well
Does anybody have an info to share about the sound quality of the internal speakers. I'm seriously considering buying this screen and wondering if I need to expand the budget to include speakers, or a soundbar?
Salut merci pour la vidéo de cette installation parfaite 👍
What a beautiful tv!
I'm also more than Happy that LG still have all the "Numberbuttons" on their remotes.
I agree but having just upgraded from the CX to the G3. I really hate all the “sponsored” app buttons & will severely miss the play & pause button from my CX remote.
Those hdmi cables look relatively thin and pliable. Are they in-wall rated?
Please link me to that tv stand!
Is screen burn still an issue with OLED TVs these days? Love my OLED which is about 6 years old now but it got screen burn pretty easily after just 1 year of having it, so this puts me off getting OLED TVs going forward :/
Is it easy to take the tv back off the wall mount? We want to buy the tv but in two months the painter will start and we are wondering if we can already install it and take it away easily during that time?
That specific magic remote has only been around since the LG C1 2021
Nice Install, with 19 oled in my ManCave ,I think G3 my next upgrade 83❤
I'm going to do something like you did eventually. So cool.
Think it is still worth the buy a year later?
Beautiful TV!
Woof...thats one tv I gotta get!
Whats the link for the combo box
I'm in! I want one! Great video!
Which mini LED does the G3 compare with brightness?
have u done the g3 83 inch before?
My internet cafe equiped this TV for all clients 100 pc with Rtx 4090. Perfect gaming.
I bought a 77" Sony Bravia A80J OLED 2 years ago after watching your review as well as others. Question for you, why run only 1 HDMI wire behind the wall? Makes it tough to add a Cable box, 4K Blu-ray Player or a Gaming box later on.
Actually it won’t make it tough at all, he most likely will run it to his AVR, then plug everything into that…
His Marantz receiver can do the HDMI switching.
I have the same exact TV as you. Absolutely love it!
@@juvonycoolme too. The 77” A80J is underrated
@@unknownsource4359 I totally agree. I can't find any reason to buy any other TV in this price range. Simply amazing straight out of the box!
Hello there love your videos! I have been watching all of your LG G3 videos even the comparison to Samsung's 95c. What I am on the fence about and I am hoping you can get back to me before this evening, is I am trying to decide between LG 77 G3 and the LG 83 G3. I don't know enough about the MLA thing. But I am hoping maybe you can help me for my Cyber Monday purchase.
That BDI tv stand is almost same price as the G3 😁
Right shit is crazy
Love the stand...who makes it?
BDI. No, it isn't cheap.
Anyone have a link to the combo boxes he used around the 06:20 mark? Been trying to find a good one like this!
how did you know where to put the outlet?
Calidad y humildad
@btheinstaller I have an issue where the studs are not located in a position for me to install this TV centered on my wall. Instead, the stud is very near the center of the bracket. What would your comfort level be in using toggle bolts to support in addition to the two bolts I'll use for the center/left portion of bracket that go directly into the stud (it is the the one stud I can use).
I find it infuriating that no one talks about the studs. I've searched high and low for information on this, watched many mounting videos of the LG G3, and not once has anyone so much as mentioned anything to do with studs. They just magically center the mount exactly where the TV should be centered and mount it there as though it doesn't need to be secured to studs, which makes no sense to me. It seems you'd want such an expensive TV to be secured to studs. But alas - no information.
Same question. I haven’t checked yet but seems like it’s more of a chance that the studs will be where they need to be than not. Unless the bracket has multiple holes to use but even then seems odd?
I have this same TV on order and have the same exact situation with the studs. I have a stud that is center of where I would like the TV to be centered. Will I be ok with mounting into that stud using the two most centered holes of that bracket, and then using toggle bolts into the sheetrock for the other side? Please help!
@@adamhurley2406 I used toggle bolts in addition to screwing into one stud. No issues here 2 months later. Would definitely not do if this was a pivot mount but given how flush it hangs I don't see as much risk.
@@adamhurley2406 I cut out sheetrock, added 2/10s on either side of center stud to outer studs, then repaired and painted
I need a link to the in wall cable box…
How does the display quality compared to cheaper alternatives like Hisense or TCL models. I know this is OLED and the others have Mini LED but can you justify the price difference?
can you please show back of the TV when hang on the wall next time? how much gap is there and will it be as good as Frame TV?
Another big one in the house
I'm really considering this tv.. I really like some top of line Sony's tho . Tough choice
I like the fact when buying a Sony Bravia OLED, you don't have to spend another 500 or more dollars on a sound bar for good audio because the entire screen of the SONY OLED is a speaker, and have a bass output speaker on the backside.
@@knuckles1006 that's what I was thinking.. you really can't go wrong with a Sony.. such perfect color and life like image too
@@knuckles1006I don’t think it can replace a reasonable soundbar/speakers with a sub .. but it depends what your expectation is. I agree many will be happy with the built in speaker/s. The main problem with the Sony, especially 77” A95L gonna be the crazy price. The webpage in our county shows the expected price equivalent of ~USD7510. That’s a lot comparing to 77” S95C which can be purchased, with the current discount and cashbak, for ~USD3490 ! It’s insane how expensive Sony will likely be and they also rarely offer a discount. I’ll likely go with the G3 77 for ~USD4600 including a smaller cashback since I don’t like S95C as the whole package. I don’t think A95L will be that much better this year to justify its expected price, but let’s see. I wish Sony re-think their price strategy a bit, but that’s rather unlikely.. As for the design/look when wall mounted the G3 is unbeatable imo
@@marekgrundel Sony will never change their price strategy. They are a Japanese company and those are very conservative. They would rather go bankrupt than change their policies lol
waiting for black friday / cyberweek and LG cashback promo 🤑🤑🤑🤑😍😍😍😍😍
Great video. Think the G3 will be the best tele of this year. Personally, I think Sony made a mistake with delaying the release of the A90L until later this year, giving LG and Samsung’s A95C the advantage in sales and impact upon the market. Plus it’ll be very, very expensive considering it’s on up to 77” in size. Even Samsung have purchased OLED screens for the larger sizes.
Great video as ever.
The Sony is always better
@@Grande79 they are mate. But they’re expensive.
@@jasmadahar9089 yea, that’s the one drawback, the LG equivalent is always a good $500-$800 less
@@Grande79 I know. I saw a demo at my local electrical superstore. I must admit, I was wowed by the picture. To be fair, the guy showing it me put CZcams on and showed a 4K demo. Even with the compressed nature, it looked superb.
I think that the Sony will have to go sone was with its new QD-OLED to beat it. The S95C they displayed looked just fantastic, so it’s going to be difficult to chose one.
@@jasmadahar9089 I am not a fan of Samsung displays. They just over saturate and over brighten. Upscaling compared to Sony is abysmal and let’s face it, 90% of the time we are watching inferior compressed sources. Also the processing for motion isn’t as good as Sony. Of course things may have changed over the last couple of years. If I switch from Sony I would probably go with LG for the savings
Im about to install this tv in my house. Does it have to be secured to more than one stud? Ty
Ideally. It's not 100% needed if you have a solid single stud and are fully confident in the togglers
@@BTheInstaller Awesome, ty so much for the quick response 👍
So I guess with this mount you have to get lucky that your 16” spaced studs are centered exactly where you want the tv to be on the wall is that right? Correct me if I’m wrong but the mount is only about 17” wide so there would not be any flexibility on moving it left or right on the wall. Is there any chance the mount would be secure enough by screwing into only 1 stud?
Somewhat. Yes it’s only about 17” wide & would be nice if your studs line up, but if not, you can get two screws into one stud & use drywall anchors/toggle bolts in the other holes.
You and your wife are goals, honestly.
Where can I get this tv? It’s like sold out
how did you know where to put the outlet? is that in the template?
just measurement from a reference point and voila...
And the thickness of the hdmi cable is behind the TV and you can’t press the TV to the wall?
Sent my S95B back. I had so much problems with it, never Samsung TV again.
Waiting for a discount on Black friday to get this one instead!
LG G3 or Sony A80L in 65" if they are close enough in pricing? Only to be used for OTT streaming & youtube. Need right balance of image and sound (without soundbar for now).
@@westibbsthanks for your response. I am not much bothered about gaming features at the moment. Primarily need it for movies and series on OTT. Is image processing and upscaling of sony a huge setup over LG? And have seen in reviews that sound is also better on A80L. Hanging in between Pros & Cons of both...😛
all i have to say is this TV is a lot harder to line up with the wall bracket than most of the videos would lead you to believe. don't get me wrong, i love the TV once i finally got it hung and working.
I really wanted to get the G3 because of its MLA technology but Im very happy with my 77 inch C3 compared to my previous Cx
I'm thinking of getting the 77" c3
@@bigdadd09able if you can wait until Black Friday you can save $$ but it’s worth the buy.
Don't buy C series. Might as well buy B series then. G3 is far better than C3. C3 looks just like C9 from 2019 and no C series model comes even close to 1000 nits peak which you want on an OLED TV for proper HDR and less black crush.
Oh baby Smash that button Lucky man
In cases like this, isn't it a better idea to pass as much HDMI cables as possible, to be future proof?
Hey B! Long time follower first time poster.
Do you know anywhere I can get the back panel measurements for a LG G2 83”.
Measurements for top of tv to top back mounting area. In the video I think I saw you measure out approximately 6 1/2”. Also measurements for mounting area to where the cables are routed at the bottom? I can’t find anything online or youtube videos.
I love the tv, but I’ll prefer it with the tv stand.
I would be star struck if I saw Jen in my family room.
Guys, i need everyone’s opinion. Looking to buy a TV for my home theatre in the basement and wanted to know if I should choose the 77” G3 or the 83” G2? 12 feet viewing distance. Help me out, I am stuck between the size and the brightness difference the G3 offers!
As long as your home theatre has no issues with sunlight coming from windows, the 83" G2 will give you all the brightness you will ever need.
Don't buy now, they will get huge price drops on Black Friday. If your room isn't too bright with lots of windows then the G2 should do fine, but I would recommend a G3 or S95c for the peace of mind (maybe you will change up your room or move to another house/apartment). 83 inch is a better fit for your viewing distance, but the brightness differences reviewers like HDTVtest are claiming are quite dishonest to say the least. He's measuring and comparing the brightness of little white squares on the screen...who watches little white squares on a screen? Nobdoy! Once you watch regular content the brightness differences are not that much, yes noticable, but nothing to boast about. If you are going to watch mostly during daytime and only occasionally in the dark I would honestly recommend you to get a Samsung Mini LED. Those are relatively cheap and come in bigger sizes (~2k for 85 inches!) and are MUCH brighter than any OLED ever will be plus you get the peace of mind of never having to worry about Burn in ever again. Look for deals on the Qn90b/Qn95b
