- After many years that have loaded me up over time, I have climbed again, in company with Tin, to that really beautiful mountain peak. Great Kozjak in North Velebit. I no longer count the number of times I have visited it. I'm neither hard nor sorry for the effort because every climb is different ... it's actually never the same ... neither the weather nor the atmosphere. Always a new event and the magnificent views from the top are truly rewarding.
We were very fortunate to come across chamois by which the summit itself is named.
("koza" in my language means "goat".
Beautiful mountain all in typically autumn colors with surprisingly nice weather ... rarely clear and pleasant and almost windless. A visit to Velebit on my birthday in late October. So comfortable that I forgot and didn't really care about the current health problems that follow many of my age . We have repeatedly delayed this long-planned trip, but here it came to pass and all went well. Another experience with the real pleasure of driving a Landrover ... an all-terrain vehicle created even for much heavier terrain. About this in the next movie and this is just a part of the footage, for the viewers to enjoy for us to remember, because honestly, we couldn't resist the beauty of nature this time.

Kroz prilično godina koje su mi se vremenom natovarile opet sam se popeo sad u društvu sa Tinom na taj zaista posebno lijepi planinski vrh. Veliki Kozjak u Sjevernom Velebitu. Ne brojim više koliko sam ga već puta posjetio. Nit mi je teško niti žao napora i truda jer svaki uspon je drugačiji ... zapravo nikad nije isto ...nit vrijeme, nit ugođaj. Uvijek novi događaj a veličanstveni pogledi s vrha zaista su nagrada.
Imali smo prilično sreće naletjeti na divokoze po kojima je sam vrh i dobio ime., Nismo se šuljali nit skrivali i čini se da nas nisu smatrale neprijeteljima u divljini koja je upravo njihov dom i stanište.
Prelijepa planina sva u tipično jesenskim bojama uz iznenađujuće lijepo vrijeme ... vedro i ugodno i gotovo bez vjetra. Posjet Velebitu na moj rođendan krajem Listopada. Toliko ugodno da za trenutne zdravstvene tegobe kakve prate mnoge moje dobi, nisam zapravo mario.
Više smo puta odgađali ovaj davno planirani put no evo ostvarilo se i sve je dobro prošlo. Još jedno iskustvo uz pravi užitak u vožnji Landroverom ... terenskim vozilom stvorenim i za puno teži teren. O tome u slijedećem filmu a ovo je samo dio snimaka, gledateljima za uživanje nama za pamćenje jer iskreno, ljepoti prirode ni ovaj puta nismo mogli odoljeti.

Jako lijep video - jesen, atmosfera, divokoze, pogledi prema Lubenovcu, Šatorini....
Drago mi je da ti se svidio. Iako su me mučile očekivane zdravstvene tegobe ipak sam da tak velim stisnul zube i pustil planinama da me zadivljuju kao i uvijek. Ipak danju je bilo Ok jer smo se kretali no i sam znaš koliko su duge noći u to doba godine pa mi zapravo nije bilo ugodno noću naročito kad trpiš bol kad bi trebao spavati. No tako je valjda moralo biti. Sve u svemu pogođeno vrijeme i opet događaji i susreti koji se uvijek samo jednom mogu doživjeti onakvima kakvi jesu. Još jedno iskustvo.

Imali ste sreće na izletu, uz lijepo vrijeme susresti i domaćine i promatrati njihov život. Priroda je kao i uvijek zadivljujuća !
Kada čovjek kroz duži period i u različitim vremenskim prilikama više puta posjeti neki prostor upozna ga i naravno počinje cijeniti. Osobno su mi neka mjesta u toj našoj preostaloj divljini gotovo prirasla srcu posebno zbog stanovnika i tih domaćina koje sam vremenom upoznavao. Tako bi ako ništa drugo onda bar u duši zanemario svoj dom. Iako sam svoje od djetinjstva vukao po planinama u zadnje vrijeme odlazim sa Tinom u društvu ...sigurnije i lakše nakon stotine samostalnih posjeta tim veličanstvenim planinama. Malo govorim i spominjem svoje avanture no svaki me grm, kamen bar na dobro poznatom terenu podsjeti na doživljaje kroz sve one godine koje su prošle. Srećom , nešto sam ot toga uspio zabilježiti kamerom iako me često opterećivala i nbisam je volio imati uz sebe jer je sve to bilo nauštrb mojih odnosa za divljim životinjama koje sam upoznao.
@@PavleBalenovic Sve zabilješke, pisane, fotografije ili videi, ipak nas podsjete na puno toga što bismo inače zaboravili. Ja sam isto često išao sam, što nije pametno, ali teško je ići u društvu i imati vremena za snimanje. Vidim da imate dosta opreme, ja nosim samo kameru i stativ.
@@ZlatkoTorbašinović Da, neke je stvari nemoguće snimiti ako niste sami. ONih godina kada sam se bavio vukovima išao sam uvijek sam jer ni oni nikoga nisu prihvaćali a i teško da bi mašao nekoga tko bi se u to uopće upustio. Nakon vukova uglavnom sam boravio u šumama sam. Ostavio bi auto negdje pri cesti pa se uputio sa svim potrebnim u ruksku obično na 3-5 dana. Toliko bi mi naime bilo dovoljno hrane koju sam mogao naprtiti na leđa. Voda je uvijek bila najteža pa je teško bilo nositi 4-5 litara potrebnih naročito ljeti. Nekad sam nosio veću Sony kameru no zauzela bi mi sav prostor u ruksaku a posljednjih godina koristim dvije male Panasonic koje su mi dovoljne i navikao sam se na njih. Stativ iako težak rado ga ponesem jer kad ga ne bi uzeo brzo shvatim koliko mi fali naročito kad treba korostiti krajnje zumove. Ljeti je problem kod takvih snimki ono vibriranje topog zraka pa još veći zoom zapravo uništi sliku. Zapravo velik teret mi je uvijek još i vreća za spavanje.
Puno puta bi pokisao i noću čučao uz stablo za vrijeme kišnih oluja s grmljavinom no onda sam morao odlučiti za bilo kakav mali šator i već duže vremena i on ima mjesto na mojim leđima.
Zima je sasvim druga priča. Sa vukovima mi je bilo lakše jer sam osjećao njihovo društvo u stvari kao zaštitu i znao ostati u mećavama po 4 noći u vreći pokrivenoj potpuno smrznutim mokrim šatorskim hrilom. Nadam se da ću uspjeti završiti još jedan prilično dug film upravo o tome. Gotov je naime jedino komentar koji ipak treba postaviti pod sliku prilično mi je težak posao pa se sve pomalo odužilo. Ipak glavno je završeno - a to je slika i zvukovi i u stvari i tako vrijede puno.
Snimano je VHSom u vrijeme kad digialnu tehniku nismo ni sanjali.
Još planiram posjećivati tu veličanstvenu planinu a iskreno puno svojih tajni htio bih otkriti Tinu koji, hvala bogu u već par navrata ide samnom.
Htio sam reći da nemam nikakvu profi opremu - nikad nisam ni imao.

Upravo tako ... domačina i gosta i to treba uvijek poštivati. Čini se da ovakvi jesenjaci kao nas dvojica ipak nekako posebnije osjećamo upravo kraj godine i dolazak zime,
zime koju ako ne upoznaš zapravo nisi upoznao planinu.
Tako jedino shvatiš kako i zašto prirodu treba poštivati.

Malo mi se poremetio kontinuitet u radu na ovom kanalu pa malo zaostajem. Čak i iz tehničkih razloga no takav je život. Besplatno dijeliš trud a još te to itekako košta. Šteta što mnoge planirane a i započete tzv. projekte ne uspjevam dovršiti. Sve to da bi čovjeka uputio da neke stvari ne činimo kako treba i da je dosta štete koja se očito najviše zbog nas događa prirodi općenito. Oni lakomi na vrhu nit ne shvaćaju da se upozorenja već događaju. Što će djeci ostati za sutra? Beton i čipovi u mozgu?

I was waiting the chance to realize that trip for I lost the continuity in visiting those mountains last year. Hope this one will give us more opportunity to travel. Seasons are warmer as climate changed dramatically and winters are not as severe as before. Hope soon I will make another trip on snow as many times before when I used to follow the animal footprints wherever I would find them.

Thanks. This video is just a part of quite a long footage we have taken enjoying our drive in 30 years old Land Rover Defender visiting those magnificent mountains last fall. Hope soon I will upload the rest.
Not much wildlife encountered for it is simply not the time to plan that. Concerning filming animals the best success I usually had in May when green grass starts to show up attracting most of wildlife out on the open ... Deer, Brown bears, Wild boars, I have seen them many times ... all till August when I followed the birds of pray in bigger numbers. Winters became far too hard for any planning because of more and more risks ... and I realized that perhaps I am not as young as I used to be.

A truly fantastic trip dear Pavle and all in spite of your health problems, which always seem minor in face of such beauty, as this Velebit mountain brings. How wonderful to be treated to so many Chamois by you and Tin, those nimble little "koza" in Croatian. It is equally nice that in their mountain retreat they are safe. Super, super footage by you and Tin and of course, the editing is beyond reproach. All in all a film to be cherished by all who love nature and wildlife.

Hope it is obvious enough that we really enjoyed that trip. For me it seamed as I was in the mountain for the first time in my life. I still can't understand why it impresses me that much each time I come? The camera has been in my hands all the time and I filmed the same scenes I did already many times before. But in fact everything is different each time we visit it. It always turns to be another adventure and new experience. That all makes one know the mountain more to respect it the way it really deserves.
I am glad that we belong to it ... to mother nature.
Some of our kind live like lost not knowing what they are missing. Perhaps our uploads could make them change their lives. I am sure you know well how long I have been waiting the chance to come to realize that trip after quite a long time not visiting the mountains. For the one like me the mountains are ... I can't find the word to express what they mean to me. Luckily it is here now recorded, shared to all those who understand and I hope soon I will get back and continue the way I started many years ago. The way you understood from the beginning.

In fact we both took quite a lot of shots and I started assembling quite long video but because of recent technical problems updating my PC OS my editing software is not supported any more. The thing is that I got used on it well and it is hard to change the methods and the routine. I should be dealing with editing and scenario not with new hardware and software installations. I have a lot more in plan to share and hope soon there will be more for watching. You are always welcome.

I mentioned in my replies to others that we have taken a lot of shots as those mountains impressed us again as each time we visit them. In a way I lost the continuity in uploading because of the need to update my operating system what caused some troubles to me ... my editing software isn't supported any more. Besides I experienced some minor health problems what pushed me away from sitting in front of PC monitors. There is a lot more planned to be shared form this channel and I am really looking forward to realize that. Concerning our recent October trip ... this video is just a part of it.

Wow what a treat. Great to see chamois again! Thanks for this beautiful movie, such a pure place.. old age? I'm not that old but some issues are starting to make itself known 😐 .. I hope you manage many more trips to come. And bring the camera!
In October there is not much wildlife I can expect to see and film. Those were the last clear days I would say... it is winter and snow there already. That will last till late June in the mountains although the climate changed dramatically so the days are warmer in general. I remember well deep snows that I had to fight with and cold but the truth is that I was much younger then. I am aware that I risked perhaps far too much then as naive and inexperienced but I got worthy lessons from our mother - nature. And now, mine is only to thank her on that.
