Buck Cleven actually escaped three months earlier than shown in the miniseries. He escaped in December, 1944 during the first march from Stalag Luft III to Nuremberg. He returned to Thorpe Abbots in April, 1945.

Odd not using a B17-G model towards the end. There's several airworthy G aircraft they could have used. It definitely should have been a 10 episode season, or spread out over an additional season. Flesh out more time for more air battle action (including DDay), ground crew work, and a better Tuskegee storyline. Not the worst show I've seen, but definitely not BoB/The Pacific
