      Wow. Last fall I did four tandem jumps and I loved it but my mind twists things up when I panic. It doesn’t have to be a situation where my safety is at stake. I think I could probably be fine on a solo skydive when things go fine but obviously there will be ones where things won’t be fine and my brain vomiting all over itself while having seconds to make a decision isn’t good. Unfortunately I don’t think I’m cut out for learning solos as much as part of me would absolutely love to do it. You’re a rockstar to me!

  • @georgejacob3162

    Well done and very well said about skydiving. Skydiving taught me that it was fine to let go of control. I used to be a terrible passenger in a car. Now I'm fine with it. I have also let go of certain people, jobs, material things and locations that were no longer of use to me. Before skydiving I held on to these things for way too long. Skydiving also taught me that there really is nothing to fear. I've since gone on to do bungee jumping, passenger rides in proper aerobatic aircraft and wing walking all of which can be seen on my CZcams channel. All this from a guy who used to be terrified of flying. I just got bored of being in my 'safe' comfort zone all the time. Many people are living in fear because they are not willing to step out of their comfort zone and realize that there is nothing to fear. Fear stands for False Emotions Appearing Real.

      @@mireynafashionlover You will LOVE it! If you are fearful just try to relax and go through with it anyway. When you are at the door of the plane keep your eyes open. Falling out with eyes closed is a big regret for many. Also, when you reach terminal velocity and can fall no faster it simply feels as though you are floating. This is due to the air pressure on your body. It feels like you are falling through a thick soup of air. It is pure BLISS!

      @@mireynafashionlover Oh, one more recommendation is do not have anything with milk in it before skydiving. Milk upsets the stomach. I found this out when I had milky breakfast cereal and milky drinks and then had a very intense aerobatic flight in a purpose built stunt plane. I wasn't actually ill but I was trying to be ill and that ruined my experience! Obviously do not have a heavy meal before flight. Keep it light like a sandwich and water or cola. Hopefully you will have a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Skydiving rocks!

    • @williamjones7589
      @williamjones7589 Před 3 lety +6

      @@truthfulpurpose it certainly will. I am really afraid of heights I have flown in a plane so many times over the last couple of years. I could never imagine jumping out but life kind of got me to the point where I had no choice but to try. I was about a week from taking my life I was like a dam that was getting ready to break after years of frustration. I had booked a jump and backed out about a month before they told me they would hold my spot for when I was ready and there the day came. It was 80 degrees in Ohio in November the weekend I did it. It was if it was gods plan. It was clear skys no wind or clouds. I am 28 years old and I was a scared child the entire time going up in the plane was the scariest part and when that door opened my mind shut off at that moment and we jumped and I was even afraid. Your brain pushes out so many chemicals you just aren't afraid. I was scared again once the parachute was pulled but when I touched the ground I was recharged. I killed my job interview the following week and got a new job. I am still depressed but so many of the emotions were let go during that drop. You should do it. It is the ultimate reset.

She asked me if I REALLY want to, then I started thinking and I said no. From that day I was so sad because that was a ones in a lifetime opportunity (I was in New Zealand). I had already been in indoor skydiving twice, (one time in Norway and one time in New Zealand) so that's why I wanted to go. And I live in Norway and to go tandem skydiving you have to be 16 years old so i didnt have a chance. But this summer we went to Estonia and I jumped there (13 years old) because you had to be 8 years ago or older. I loved it

And yes I did have the opportunity to go but only because I was able to save up enough money and find the time to do it. Someone once told skydiving is no different from other hobbies out there in terms of time and money investment( sometimes travel is a factor) but even then if you want something bad enough you will do what it takes to get it and it will be worth it.

    Who would not like a man in Adidas track suit. After two tandem jumps I disagree a bit. I think that it is like falling in love and going to a date with a person who you are in love with. Excited, but a little bit nervous at the same time. On a date you are floating on clouds figuratively. In skydiving you are literally on clouds. And the break-up is less painful.

    • @georgejacob3162
      @georgejacob3162 Před 3 lety +4

      Let me try to convince you! Get down to the Indoor Skydiving Center first. You will then walk into the wind chamber and you will be able to feel what it is like to 'free-fall' at head/chest height. With the fan beneath you pushing the air up through the wire mesh floor you get the feeling of the free-fall and all at head/chest height with an instructor in there to keep you safe. I did Indoor Skydiving before doing the real thing. Skydiving helped me to overcome my fears. I have now done three tandem skydives, 2 bungee jumps, 1 stratosfear jump, a zip-line ride on the fastest zip-line in Europe, passenger flights in fully aerobatic aircraft and wing walking. Nearly all of which can be seen on my CZcams channel including the Indoor Skydiving so you can see what goes on there. Once you overcome your fears nothing can faze you.
