  • The truth about why NoFap doesn't always cure porn-induced erectile dysfunction also known as PIED. Porn addiction is a major issue that causes sexual performance anxiety and lower libido. For some men this completely cures their impotence, for others it's just a first step.

    I went to a psychologist, but she wasn't able to help me let go of my anxiety. She had me do relaxation and visualization exercises, and meditation also. I also went to a hypnotherapist. It caused temporary improvement before falling back into the problem. Anxiety is forever :( . To be clear it only appears in connection with sexal situations, on other subjects it is not present.

      It's really hard for someone who hasn't been through ED to help you through it. Would you want to hire someone to guide you up a mountain that had never climbed a mountain? Of course not. Well my friend, you are trying to climb a mountain. Talking to a psychologist while you are going through something like this is helpful and necessary. Maintaining your mental health is important, but I haven't run across anyone who has overcome this only by talking to a psychologist or therapist. Anxiety doesn't have to be forever. You have to look at what is causing the anxiety and resolve that.

    • @dannyp9210
      @dannyp9210 Před 4 lety

      Maybe you could try talking to a sexologist? If you only experience ED in sexual situations, maybe you have some sexual trauma (could be a minor one too) from earlier in your life, that you haven't resolved?

    Makes sense, no fap always cures PIED but if you still are insecure about size still you'll get anxiety ED (which to my understanding is faster to cure)

    • @NoPillsNoSurgery
      @NoPillsNoSurgery  Před 3 lety +1

      There isn't a way I've found to deal with PIED without something like no fap. The best way to deal with anxiety about size is often to examine that fear with logic. There is often a story behind this like "no one will ever want to have sex with me". If you examine that type fo fear and compare it to your real life experience you will often start to see "holes" in the fear. There are people out there who prefer smaller penises, often times men who feel small are only small compared to porn stars, there are also ways to please your partner that come from skill instead of reliance on size.

    Wonderful!!
    This ED can be very frustrating and confusing. I'm 20 years old and have been dealing with this basically since I first tried to have sex, more than 5 years. There were times when I had no problems, times when the problem was intermittent, and times when I couldn't maintain an erection even while masturbating because of the fear of failure. Your point is very important, emotions are the main cause. We can get confused with all this information, "maybe it's my T level", "maybe it's from porn", "maybe my cock is broken"... All these different possibilities and thoughts only amplify the cause: FEAR.

    • @NoPillsNoSurgery
      @NoPillsNoSurgery  Před 3 lety +1

      Great question. It's okay to have sex past day 30. What I would say is if you have someone you have an emotional connection with, have sex. I would strongly suggest against going out and trying to have a 1 night stand with a stranger. This isn't a moral thing, it's a practical thing. If you have someone you like and care about, and they care about you, it will naturally lower the amount of anxiety you'll experience and make you feel safer. With a stranger there will always be more anxiety and make the chances of you losing your erection greater.

      @NoPillsNoSurgery  Před 3 lety +6

Do I need to extend my reboot? Like 6 months maybe? Yes, I have some anxiety during perfomance. As he alludes to in the video, you have to look at the core cause as to why you became porn addicted in the first place, or got addicted to excessive masturbation. It's likely because you have some unpleasant feeling or emotion inside you that you don't know how to deal with, or process, and therefore you distract yourself with masturbation that indeed is pleasurable and makes you relax temporarily. The problem is that it doesn't solve the fear, anxiety etc that you have, and excessive masturbation can probably exhaust your arousal system as well as make you addicted to instant gratification. This is in contrast to dating which requires courage, patience, relaxation, trust-building and some time and investment, as opposed to fear/anxiety and instant gratification. I'd recommend continuing with NoFap and have a look at your life to see if there is anything that is really bothering you and causing you to feel bad.

      I had pretty serious porn addiction. I was masturbating 6-10 x per day using porn. There is ZERO doubt in my mind this was a big contributing factor to what made my ED so bad, but after almost a year of NoFap my ED was still there. I got a LOT of benefits from NoFap but it took more than that to overcome my issues. I'm 100% sure without NoFap I'd still have ED.

      Hi Anil, I'm sorry you are struggling my friend. I've been there and I know how hard it can be. This is a painful and complex problem that takes time to solve. The most important thing for you right now is to get help stabilizing yourself. I'm not a therapist and I'm not capable of or trained in a way where I'm comfortable helping you navigate being suicidal on my own. You need to find support in your life from family, friends, therapists (and other trained professionals) and if need be the suicide hotline. It's very important to do whatever it takes to come out of the depression.
      I can only give you minor help through youtube comments. I'd be happy to help you alongside whatever mental health professional you choose to work directly on the ED. For this we would need to set up a call. Go to my website at www.NoPillsNoSurgery.com and book a strategy session so I can help you come up with a plan on how to start moving forward.
      Hang in there bud, this problem can be overcome. It's not easy, but you can do it! Just keep going!

A big part of my recovery was also taking it slow with my girlfriend and getting comfortable with my sexuality and rewiring myself to the real thing instead of images on a computer. Just abstain from PMO and find a girl to rewire with if you can. You also cannot just do no P in my experience. It really needs to be no P, M,or O. If there is any O or M it needs to be very minimal.
