So I just tried pulling this off now and I can’t connect the light grenade. I don’t know if the timing is super strict or they changed the way hellzone grenade works because it pulls them up when it hits
I couldn't either... My training buddy has been grinding it longer than i have and still no luck
God if that combo Piccolo did at the end is just a small amount of time labbing him, with no assists nor anything, this game looks pretty promising. Can't wait for it to be on the hands of people better at fighting games than I am and see what they can do with all the characters.

Andddd it no longer works. Max tried it multiple times last night during the beta, and he repeatedly expressed his disappointment in its removal. Sigh.

Hellzone Grenade!
Piccolo as a technical character makes a lot of sense, really. He's always been the "smart one" of the core cast. That combo you whipped up is pretty devastating, I can't wait to see what people do with this when they get some serious lab time in.

Honestly seeing this combo and his gameplay finally quiets my concerns that this game may lack depth in terms of style, combo potential, meta, mix ups and personality. It'll only go up from here I hope. Piccolo and 18 so far are in my team. Now need a third. Give me Yamcha, Babidi or a very technical Tien next please.

My main man, Piccolo! He's always had such a killer move set, and this game really shows them off. The only thing I wish was added was Piccolo's ability to increase his physical size (or maybe regenerating limbs as a healing move), but I understand why they didn't.

People need to stop saying the game is basic. No one has yet had extensive lab time with any of the characters, and most people who played were not hardcore players. Fighting games are not figured out in a week.

Stop using Lab use The Hyperbolic Time Chamber
While the Time Chamber does make more sense in the context of this game, Lab Time is just easier to say and will probably make sense to more casual fans of DBZ.

I know he's not new, but could you do a Frieza breakdown? He's my favorite character, but not a lot of people talk about him.
Can't really do a breakdown but I played the game for about 2 and a half hours with him as my first character (E3 build). He's super fun, you won't be dissapointed.

TheIZIM69 I used Cell on my team too, honestly all the characters in the E3 build were very similar but things I remember about Cell:
-His lvl 1 super was pretty hard to hit compared to other supers, I mostly used it after connecting with another character's super.
-His back Heavy has extremely good reach, not sure how safe it is but I used it as a poke that can easily be converted into a combo if it hits.
Honestly that's pretty much all I can tell you, two and a half hours spread out over several characters really isn't much. Hope it helps a little bit at least.
Im just confused on why light grenande is the level 3 and not Hellzone grenade. think they should be flipped around seeing how im almost all dbz games, hellzone grenade would always be his ulti, and not just a simply ability

makes for a more interesting gameplay i guess. I mean, hellzone grenade actually has tactical value beyond raw damage.
They want HELLZONE to be used more often as part of his arsenal instead of relegated only to that hyper combo finish people cream over at Evo.
I got suprised of that ability, didnt know he had that. I checked when he did in the anime and it was sick! It was really intensive and secret ultimate attack he used. I would imagine it being stronger than hellzone. I liked that ability much.
