😱I love that you're branching out!
Thank you, me too! It's been scary but exciting!!
LOVE your romance era 🥳
Aww thank you!!!
So glad to see you back and jumping fully into romance! I think you would really like Erica Ridley's Wild Wynchesters series... Whenever you are thru your 50 books 😂
Thank you so much!! I'll definitely look into those!!!
Lorraine Heath is probably my favorite out of all that you mentioned. And I never hear anyone talk about Jane Feather and I feel like she has amazing historical romances! She does a very good job setting the scene for the time period she writes in and her stories are very captivating. Lorraine Heath is the only author to come close to how I feel while reading Jane Feather.
I haven’t heard of that author! Now I have to do some research!
I went down a Lisa Kleypas rabbit hole last June and it started what ended up being basically a historical romance audio a day for all of June streak.
Sarah MacLean was another one I read a ton of backlist on last June.
Oooh!!! I saw that she does have some audiobooks on Scribd. Is that where you found a bunch of them?
I found them on Libby from my library.
Beverly Jenkins is my favorite author. I have every book she has written. You are right. The original cover of Indigo is hard to find. You should try Never Cross a Highlander by Lisa Rayne as another historical romance option by a black author. Also try JL Seegars for contemporary romance. Some other authors to try are Sapna Bhog, Tina Gabrielle, Amalie Howard, Jeannie Lin, Elise Marion, Stacy Reid, and Grace Callaway.😱
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this list! I will definitely look at these authors!!!!
🙀💛 Love that you're living your best romance life right now! I've seen Flawless around but the rest of these are all pretty new to me. Also if you haven't seen the special edition dust jackets that Juniper Books has for the Bridgerton series, you NEED to check them out! They're so beautiful that I get super jealous every time I see them on Instagram.
Haha thank you Maria!! I have to steer clear of special editions because now I need the Christopher Paolini releases!
@@WhatCassRead Ooh are you talking about the illustrated Eragon edition that's coming out? Also I'm SO excited for Murtagh's book!
@@MariaMightReadThat Yes you know it!!!
I just finished reading yours truly by Abby Jimenez and it’s really funny but deals with hard topics too. I feel like you’d enjoy her humour.
😱😱😱
I've heard such good things about Abby Jimenez!
I never clicked with Kleypas, even tho “Again the magic” and “Then came you” are exeptions. Mary Balogh is much more of my thing. She reads more authentic to the times and creates great immersion and atmosphere.
And Stacy Reid for more modern vibes.
I have seen Stacy Reid and only a few Mary Balogh, but I'll begin looking for her books right now!
* @What Cass Read* I literally have a raking of all my Historical Romance reads in my notion reading page, and so its easy to find exactly what to recommend for you from both authors so ill do 3 for each:
*Stacy Ried Recs:*
"My Darling Duke" & " The Wicked Marquess" (book 1 & 2 respectively of the same series)
"When the Earl Met his match" (is fantastic, but its book 3 in another series. The best imo, but I enjoyed the other books too.)
also honorable mention to her brand new book with a seemingly bonkers plot but a deeeeeeply romantic execution: "The Wolf and the Wildflower"
---------------------------------------
*Mary Balogh Recs:*
"Slightly Dangerous" is pretty much what everyone would recommend as I am, and I read ONLY this book from this seires BUT its worth mentioning that this is the last book in a HIGHLY REGARDED series and if I knew then how much I clicked with Balogh I would have read each book. I will eventually read the entire series.
"The Temporary Wife" is a standalone and one of Balogh's older works but it is brilliant. It's funny romantic, and cathartic. There's a richness to her character work always but in this it all came together beatifully.
Any of the books in "The Survivor's Club" series.
The fact that you managed to get me excited about some of these books despite the fact that I am not a romance girly at all just goes to show how infectious your enthusiasm is, hahahah I love it!! 🤩
That Victorian Rebels series sounds super good, I might have to check that one out!! And I've been so curious about Kennedy Ryan, I've heard nothing but amazing things.
Enjoy all the beautiful books!! 🥰
Yes, please check out Kennedy Ryan!! But be very conscious of her content warnings before you go into anything. She tends to include much heavier topics in her books, and they are all amazing but can get heavy.
@@WhatCassRead Thanks for the heads-up! I don't tend to get triggered by disturbing content, so I am curious to see what the fuss is all about!
