Sabonis would be one of the biggest snubs ever. 20-13-8 and has been the best player on a solid playoff team. He's been the 2nd best frontcourt player in the west this year.

they need to add more all star spots. They have the same amount as they've had since there were far fewer teams in the league and that means its soooo much harder to get in now than it has ever been. It'll also only going to get worse with expansion teams. The amount of amazing players that miss out every year or have to get in as injury replacements is absurd.

Jaylen Brown is definitely making it over Scottie and Paulo. A better player and it's going to be hard to justify saying that there's only one all-star on the Celtics when everyone nows that their stats will be lower due to so much star power.
As for the West, Sabonis will definitely beat out Senguin. They're on two separate levels. We all know that KD wont play because something will happen and AD will probably also be hurt before too long.

I basically had the same list but I switched Scottie Barnes for Jaylen Brown (since brown is under forwards in the voting) and I swapped Sengun for Sabonis. I think Sengun will be the number 1 snub this year.
I agree with literally everything except, I have PG13 making it ahead off Booker and JB will definitely go, I don't know if in Paolo's, Scotie's or Spider's place

PG and Kawhi have almost the exact same statline and PG actually is super clutch this season, I don't see why Kawhi is a "must make" if PG is a snub.

Inevitably, there are going to be a couple of guys from either conference who miss the game due to injuries. That will open the door for a few of these snubs.
The Celtics will just be given two all stars. Just as a respect thing. JB will likely make it over Scottie. The team with the best record just gets 2 all stars.(whether it’s fair or not) Two years ago Khris Middleton was given a spot even know NO ONE thought he would. Sometimes it’s just how it goes.
I think Porzingis should he is having an amazing season and in my opinion is the most consistent Celtics player, maybe with the exception of Derrick White.
@@HankAder KP might not play enough games, and isn’t the second option.(I know that shouldn’t be considered) JB has a higher usage, is involved in more actions, shoots the second most shots, etc. That’s JB’s reputation. Sometimes reputations matter. KP probably deserves it just as much because of the on/offs, advanced stats, efficiency, etc. But if we go off JUST that, than Derrick is like the best player on the Celtics, and one of the best players in the East. 🤣🤣🤣 All Star voting is never gonna make people happy

I think the other two guards that are locks are going to be Luka and Dame. Luka is still in the mvp race and is having a phenomenal year on a team way better than the warriors. Curry will be an all-star but I think Luka and Shai are just doing too good. While I think Dame and Brunson or Dame and another east guard is a much closer race, I think Dame is gonna be one of those “respect” picks where he gets a little push from being who he is. Just because a guy can cook against mid or bad teams doesn't mean they automatically deserve an all-star appearance

For other Celtics - KP will miss because of injury/missed time, White will miss because he does what he is asked to do perfectly but generally isn't asked to create/play at an all-star level (though he is absolutely capable of it and is an absolute menace of a 2-way of a player, and Jrue misses because he has intentionally taken a backseat to the other 4 starters and plays his role perfect. All 5 Celtics are All-Star capable players but odds are they get 2 spots.

Dame doesn’t not deserve to be a starter this year, look at his efficiency. Brunson and Mitchell should be over him. Also I know I may be hating but DWhite shouldn’t even be in the conversation. He is too inconsistent and even thought he does the little things, he is the 5th best player on his team which gives him more open looks. If he has his own team he would not be in the conversation.
Yeah Lillard is having a weird year being introduced to a new team. I’m biased as a proud Knicks fan, but I don’t know why Lillard gets that much love seeing as he has seemingly unimpressive stats and the eye test showing he plays lackluster defense. Jalen Brunson is one of the league leaders in drawn charges and the best player on the current 4th seed in the NBA.
I feel like some of these play in squads getting 2 guys in over actual good teams is crazy. PG absolutely outplayed Book twice already like just raw stats makes no sense. Who helping there team get dubs.

Jaylen is a lock as the Celtics second best player. He's listed as a frontcourt player this year, so he doesn't even need a wild card spot to get in. Randle might make it as a wild card over Trae since he and the Knicks are doing excellent and the Hawks are underperforming. I don't see Scottie Barnes making it cause the Raptors are bad. Sabonis should be in even if Fox goes. He's doing better than D-Book lately and the Kings have a better record than the Suns. Sengun has been excellent, but I could see him getting snubbed for KAT, who is having a similar but more efficient season in a team that deserve two spots. Great predictions tho.
